April 12th 23 CLE
It was a rather dark night in Ionia, perhaps as a response to the surprising and unforeseen events that had recently occurred. But that night did not detract much from Ionia's beauty, and the stars were exceptionally bright this night, perhaps Soraka worked a little of her magic this night. Underneath this starry sky was a wide grassy plain with a single makeshift camp near the middle of it. The grass was so soft to the touch, almost like a new bed with washed sheets. So much that the camper did not want to set out a sleeping mat to separate him from this new, soft bed made of plants.
However, this camper was not quite ready to call it a night yet. He stared into a small fire as if trying to pierce its bright orange flames with his golden eyes. Trying to see more than just the dancing flames and embers that leaped from their high places. He ignored the small trail of smoke that twisted and coiled into the star filled sky. The gypsy's eyes did not move from the center of the golden glow, wondering what Destiny had planned for him? Would Graves hunt him down? Very unlikely, just as unlikely as him getting caught by any of the authorities. Maybe....just maybe he would think of a plan to get her away from him. The one who lived and breathed in the shadows. The man who hid behind a metal mask as well as the darkness.
Zed.
An escape plan and hiding place always consumed a part of his thoughts. Not that he need to escape Zed, but he knew someone that desperately wanted her freedom back. She was a bird who was never meant to be caged, but Destiny had seen fit to do so. It gave her an ace high when she needed a full house. Twisted Fate let out a soft sigh, he was back in Ionia, yet again. It seemed that he couldn't get far enough away from this place? Maybe there was something attractive about it that he had yet to grasp? Whatever that was...it escaped him. Though perhaps in time Destiny would show him the answer he was looking for. Granted, it was not a matter of 'if', but rather 'when'.
For now The Cardmaster sat up and grabbed his nearby travel pack. He rummaged through it before pulling out a journal that he had been keeping. In it were records of recent events that occurred around Valoran, after all it paid to be informed these days. Just in case Twisted Fate would ever have to choose a side, but today was not that day. He noted the recent developments like the Void attack in Freljord and the Shadow Isles laying siege to Demacia. Then he went on to what he considered some of the most self-centered parts of his journal. His most recent conning ideas and poker strategies. During this time he would also schedule what he was going to do for tomorrow, after all a criminal does not get far without being organized.
Little did Twisted Fate know, Destiny had a bit of a surprise for him.
