Suddenly an alarm breaks the unnatural silence of the night red lights start to shine in ominous way heralding what’s to come any Zaunite denizen not matter their social standing is evacuated by force in a perimeter from a certain colossus of a building, one of Alchemax prime experimentation buildings dedicated to the investigation of Biological weapons and ways to counter them. Soon around the place iron walls raised from the ground further cutting the place from Zaun not letting anything get in…or out. Soon what broke the monotone sound of the alarms was the painful screams of the fools that decided to stay behind. The scream resounded on the night horror and pain where the shades that tainted those horrid screams that got inside of the minds of those that heard them and like a banshee filled them with horror. The horror of those eldritch abominations born from science that where now preying on the humans that had given birth to them. Then the screams ceased they had eaten of worse all that had a live on those god forsaken streets.
1 day after the incident. The news of such unheard horror had spread all over Zaun very few even get close enough to the quarantined place out of fear for the horrors behind the wall. Rumors fly about survivors behind those walls that had survived the first night the making of a recue party became imperative but very few people would risk their lives for others based on rumors and the Zaunite police was unprepared for such incident. Alchemax took matters on their hands and extended word around Valoran that those that would enter such place and get back alive spending at least 3 days looking for survivor would receive 40,000 valorans.
On the north most iron wall there is a small door that permits the entry of the few valiant ones that would enter the quarantined block there is a small amount of well-armed guards to make sure no lunatic let’s out the horrors inside the place.
A little globby meteor could be seen hurtling through the air in the skies of Zaun. You could make a wish, but all you'd get is more goo.
Zac flew over the high walls, clearly visible to the armed guards at the entrance. He hit the side of a building rather hard, exploding into a thousand chunks, congealing in a spot only a little ways from the entrance.
He frowned. He had hoped to get closer to the middle, but this would have to do. "I'll have to work on my aim..." Zac said to himself.
Glancing around, he was relatively safe at the moment. The place looked even more dystopian than Zaun was normally. Zac had heard about the incident and naturally had to do something about anyone who could possibly be still alive within. He wasn't in it for the money.
Nodding, he moved forward in this jungle of a complex.

Tobias walked slowly towards the gates, taking his time to observe the area. It all looked grim; though no different from the rest of Zaun in his opinion. He hated the city-state, just being there bothered him. A place where a human's life was worth no more then the price it took to hire whoever caught them. No matter how hard he tried, he seemed unable to weigh any real good of the city-state against all of the bad; it was incomparable. This situation right now just seemed to justify that fear. Whatever the hell was in there could only come from a place like Zaun. But despite it's flaws, the city still had innocents. Not everyone was a corrupt scientist or using others for their own gain. He had sworn to protect life and by his life he would. Plus, 40,000 valorans was nothing to scoff at.
So here he was, about to walk into a hellish labyrinth to try and save some people, who no one seemed to be able to tell him were even in there. But it didn't matter; if there was a chance, he had to look into it. Besides, he doubted that he'd find anything inside he couldn't handle. He walked up to the gate, nodding briefly at the guards without saying a word. He then opened it and stepped inside, noting the yelling as Zac flew in. He reached the block entrance just as soon as Zac did. Unsure of whether or not it would be wise to speak to the green giant, he let out a whistle, seeing if Zac would react positively and come over to him; potentially giving him an ally in this trip, or ignore him and go on alone. He didn't know much about the blob, but he seemed like an alright guy from what he did. He leaned against the entryway to the block, holding a sack over his right shoulder with his belongs, waiting for Zac's response.
When I hear that trumpet sound I'm gonna rise right out of the ground Ain't no grave Can hold my Body down

Besides the murmurs of the flames consuming some vehicles and the occasional wind there was barely any sound on those unnaturally empty streets. The sound of footsteps from the men walking those streets could be heard even a small eco of those footsteps could be heard over the sound of some random fires devouring little by little some vehicles. On this upsetting scenery the explorers had many options: Explore the streets to see if there was any survivor on those. Try to find the source of the outbreak probably the Alchemax building. Enter some of the close building to look for any clue of survivors.
Zac's first reaction was to toss a weighted fist towards the noise. It stretched across the area, still attached to his arm as some pseudo-projectile. Looking over at his target revealed that Tobias wasn't some Zaun hostile, however, and as such the fist retracted, pulling back right before hitting his face like some awful rubber band.
"Ah, sorry," he said, his voice still decidedly calm even though he had just thrown the first punch. "I didn't think anyone would be here yet. How's it going?"
Rubble and ruptured concrete lined the streets, windows broken and glass scattered about between buildings and potholes. Throughout the terrorized Zaunite area was yet the normal chaos Mother Zaun knew so well, a surprise only to those who would visit it for the first time. Among the spoils walked the silhouette of a hidden figure, quickly shifting in and out of the abandoned buildings around. It seemed to move smaller objects and rubble to scout underneath and around them, scavenging for leftovers of what came, and/or what was to come.
Its efforts brought the figure towards the group of two, knocking aside a small chunk of concrete in the doorway of a building quite nearby; there was much debris to be cast aside. Occasionally the sound of lowly audible footsteps could be heard near them, the city's eerie quiet atmosphere providing the ability to hear its attempts, searching out the first floor of the building.

Tobias didn't appear to react to Zac's attack; knowing enough about him to know he'd stop when he realized he wasn't attacking him, but couldn't sop his right hand from reaching for his revolver. Once Zac took his punch back, he moved his hand away from his gun, standing up straight and walking over next to the blobby man, tipping his hat and looking at the streets before him.
"It's all fine. Shouldn't have snuck up on yah like that. Name's Tobias. Now, I reckon we're both here for the same reason, so we might as well get goin and lookin for any survivors. Where do yah think we should go?"
Tobias noticed the sounds coming from the inside the building, but payed no heed them; he didn't know what they were, and he'd probably find out eventually.
"Alright... Tobias. I really recommend you turn back, though. 40,000 isn't worth your life." He said that, but didn't really expect a positive answer anyway. Right then, he heard the noises from the first building... good place to start. "Stick close to me," he said right after telling him to leave, "might as well started looking for people."
Sinclair Medical Group Inc., Satellite Clinic, Alchemax District.
Outbreak DAY 1 0400 H
Near Alchemax, within the quarantine zone, it was inevitable that a great number of buildings in proximity of the colossal research complex would be dragged down in the crisis. One such building was a satellite laboratory-clinic of a coven of... artisans, headed by Dr. Newman, aka the Fleshmancer. However, to the rest of Zaun, it was known as a Sinclair Clinic.
The teal hexlights of the suite caused Caerys to awake, recovering from her latest physical and cosmetic treatments. She breathed deeply, and looked around, sleep slowly leaving her eyes. There were no staff that normally tended her needs; the usual bustle of a busy clinic of the Sinclair Medical Group was replaced by an eerie solemnity to which Caerys reacted with grave suspicion.
0405 H
Painfully she removed the IV drip from her arm, a slow process that she had seen enough times to carefully replicate. Still, she was weak, though thankfully not dehydrated... She got out of the bed, still in her patient gown, and stretched as she weighed her situation. She was in a special treatment ward, a secret room in the back of the clinic. There were no windows, and going over to investigate the door was locked and barred; even a shoulder wouldn't budge it. The room was sparse, devoid of supplies- it was for her recovery, not her treatment.
She looked about and knelt by a small vent, giving it three good kicks before it gave- The girl took advantage of her thin profile and slid through, ending up in the Clinic's office, which had slightly more to work with; she quickly began searching the room for anything useful...

The abandoned building showed an unnatural grade of deterioration silent as the rest of the city except for the sound of lights flashing in and out. Something like quiet sounds of searching could be heard on the inside of the building on the lower floors probably the ones underground.
On the cercanies of the rubble deformed figures could be first hear walking towards the sound of rubble being moved the steps would sound like 1 gigantic but slow creature and numerous little ones if saw the rodent would see a gigantic mass of cancerous flesh and wounds clumsily imitating the human figure and many little ones looking like deformed manifestations nightmares in corrupted flesh.
The hospital was empty with only the unnatural silence as a company she would find a spiked pipe of steel probably left over of some short of fight, a revolver with 4 bullets and 9 scalpels as well as a first aid kit including 4 wicked looking syringes with a purple medicine with a piece of paper that says. “In case of infection administrate directly in the heart before 48 hours.”
Caerys found the office to be slightly more well lit and stocked, and deemed it to be a good place to make as a temporary base. Before she looked around for supplies and appear paranoid should she encounter anyone, she took her lamp and explored the clinic further. she looked around for signs of life or clues to what had happened.
Caerys scouted the dimly lit environment with the emergency hexlamp, unable to find the light switches. It was clear they left in a hurry- there were many personal items and medical equipment still lying about.
The front door of the clinic seems to have been broken inward, as if something came in that the occupants did not want. Caerys was now sure that she needed to be armed- she returned immediately to the office, to prepare herself for an unknown enemy.
Caerys opened every cabinet, looked through each shelf, every drawer- she gathered everything useful she could find on the office table and assessed what she had to work with.
Once she had all she could find, she barely registered them and closed her eyes to breath. She sunk into the chair and leaned her head on the table. It seemed there was going to be only conflict in Caerys's life- if not for the behest of the Brides, a fight for survival. The gladiatrix was jaded, weary in her heart of the struggle- but survive she must anyway, as the ugly alternative of sitting down and waiting for death was not for her.
For armaments, she found the improvised pipe, scalpels and a firearm which she had only a vague idea how to operate. She found a good, sturdy backpack and a medical kit, and she placed the cures inside her bag. Not much, but it would have to be enough.
She also found a decent nurse uniform- belonging to a male and a bit oversized. She cut the leg sleeve down to slightly below her knees, and used the belt to tighten her clothing around her. She looked awkward, but at least she didn’t have to dress for show. Caerys remained barefoot as always, used to going without foot protection.
She headed outside once more to the lobby, preparing to walk out into the town.

Noticing Zac's abrassiveness towards him, Tobias sighed, realizing that he was looking down on him. Shaking his head, he walked away from the blob, deciding against dealing with that kind of attitude throughout the journey. He called out to Zac as he walked away, making sure that they could find each other somehow if things go wrong.
"Well, while I'm sure that stayin' with yah right now, if we're lookin' for survivor's it'd probably be for the best if we split up. I'll take a look over here for now, see what I can find. I say we should try and meet back here round night, we can protect anything we find better together. I'll be fine though, don't worry about that. I've handled myself through much worse than this, and trust me when I say with how cheap it is to get, that much is a steal for my life."
As he said this, Tobias walked off into the quarantine, looking for anything that looked like he'd find a civilian in. Walking down the streets, he kept his right hand on his revolver at all times, ready to draw and shoot at the first sign of trouble. Walking down the streets, he could barely make out what half of the buildings were for, and it'd take way too damn long to look through every building individually; he'd leave that to Zac. Instead, he thought he'd look for anything that people would hide in; schools, senior centers, large stadiums, anything. Starting to call out for any survivors who might be roaming the streets, he called out, probably going to bring unwanted attention to himself in the process.
"Hey! Anyone here? I'm lookin' for any survivors of whatever the hell happened here!"
The hidden figure inside of the lower floor seemed to stop. As soon as the sounds of others roaming about, even the beckoning call of a male in the vicinity became apparent, all was silent inside of the room. Someone was coming from one direction, multiple beings in the other.
The silhouette froze within that moment of time, a distortion of the items laid about and the walls around it, blending in well. If anyone were to have the vision of an animal's acute senses, perhaps it would be clearer to them what this figure was. It waited, and waited. Listening. Watching. Standing in the center of the room almost carelessly for someone to walk by; at least one of them would be useful.
"That's fine, but it's we're still much stronger if we move in a.... ah, and he's gone. Dang..." Whether Tobias could handle himself or not, it bothered him to just let people in danger.
Oh well. Better to just be efficient and hurry this up, he supposed. Zac opened the front door to the first building; the hinges were busted off, so it was easier than it should have been... hell, the entire door just fell off behind him anyway. How did it get like this?
Either way, Zac began to walk through. He nearly filled the hallway with his generous size, tall enough that his antennae was trailing on the ceiling. He stepped right over the hidden creature in the room.
With that, Zac decided to stir the hive. With a loud voice, he called out: "If anyone here is still in good condition, stay put, I'll come get you. I'm a giant green thing, you won't miss me."
Whether it was from a hostile or not, Zac waited on a reaction.
Fascinating. Of all people in this place, of all of the circumstances-HE was here. What were the chances!? Of course the situation did warrant such a "superhero"'s attention, yet something like this was so unprecedented to him. He nearly squealed in surprise had his mind not muffled it to silence. Slowly, the rat's figure faded into plain sight, as if he shifted into reality itself to bind the atmosphere to his will. In his hand was his signature crossbow, fitted with poison tipped bolts through his cautious and quietened readying for possible skirmishes with those around him; in the other, various things he'd "scavenged" from his surroundings. The green liquid oozed onto the ground drip by drip.
Twitch's eyes were filled with a bit of black, his pupils easily visible; a rarity when they were not shrunken and tiny. The sight of a fellow Zaunite that he actually appreciated was quite the feeling. A grin came across his face. Looking over the huge, hulking green blob, he lowered his crossbow to a calmed stance, his ears pointed straight up.
