The sounds behind the back door of the room intensified it was like something behind those doors was on a frenzy trying to get there…then nothing…the most dreadful of silences landed on the room in which the plague rat and the secret weapon where in…only some interrupted by the sound of some little hits on the northwest stone wall.
The same as before on the corridors of the hospital the soul crushing silence that would seem anything but natural in one of the most frenetic cities of all Valoran. A silence that resounded on the soul of a social race like humans, making the one that experienced such tortuous silence and retreat back to their souls looking for a piece of comfort. Such a peaceful yet uncanny scene that could chill the hearth of the unprepared…even it seemed like the temperature was dropping on the hall of the hospital not before long anyone walking through those halls would be able to see their breath what could cause such a bizarre experience? Some sounds would be heard from the operations room from which the frozen wind would gently get out to outside the room.
On the uncanny grey streets there could be heard the echoes of those screams that distorted with time almost seemingly like cries of help but not much more…wait a minute was that an actual scream? It sounded like the distorted scream of a child…there was something wrong with that scream maybe the empty streets echoes distorted it? They seemed to come from a apartment building not to far from where Tobias was.
Caerys's state of mind was completely taken aback by this situation. She has always dealt with horrible danger, life-and-death battles, the roar of the crowd and the din of battle keeping her adrenaline pumping- but being alone was something new and frightening to her.
The CLINIC was unnervingly silent, save for strange sounds coming from the operating rooms. Caerys was not curious, she wanted only to leave the area immediately. She set out into the cold, dark streets of the city... alone, her hexlamp her only source of light. She kept it dim, and began moving *away* from the giant ominous building, heading towards the back streets, in a search for other living souls.

One of these shambling nightmares approaches the unlikely duo that was Zac and Twitch, ready to leap upon them with it's maddening hunger. However... the nightmares weren't the only mad thing's here. The creature stopped dead in its tracks, its bloated eye panicked and in fright as something possibly more terrifying just found it. The crunch of eldritch flesh echoed through the ruined room as a long metal cleaver tore through the creature from head to base. As the split pieces separated, what revealed itself behind the severed body was a madness everybody knew, or rather, a madman. Thick purple fingers held the serrated tool with monstrous strength; following the arm down lead to a body of muscle stacked upon muscle, clad in what used to be a whole and formerly white Doctor's Coat. Standing before the two with his yellow, predatory eyes was none other than the Madman himself, Dr. Mundo.
"Graah, Mundo heard of a commotion outside, so Mundo came to see what it is! *sluuuurp* Mundo!"

Tobias wandered the streets, just wondering what the hell could actually make the noises he was hearing. He'd be a liar if he said he wasn't a bit unnerved; normally nothing could phase him, his own confidence in his abilities more then enough to help him push away any fears. However, the mystery that was wrapped around everything present was starting to plague at him; what exactly was he up against? Where was everyone - more like everything really. What was making all of these noises?
Shaking his head in an attempt to push these thoughts out, he trekked on down the street, listening for anything that sounded vaguely human. It all seemed in vain, but then he heard it; a child's scream. The sound was distorted, but it was one he knew all to well. Knowing the sound came from a nearby building, he ran at it, about to go searching for the child, before stopping. Was he really just gonna go run in stupidly like that? He knew nothing of what was happening, and he wasn't even sure if that was a child, or what used to be one. But at the same time, he couldn't risk letting a child die because of his own fears, could he?
Taking a few moments to himself for thought, he tried to figure out a way to figure out what the noise was without risking himself. Deciding to move on, he realized the best choice right now would be to send them. Closing his eyes for a moment, Tobias focused his energies, before opening them to reveal a light blue glow, a link with himself to what he was beckoning out. Seemingly out of nowhere, two creatures emerged next to him. Both seemed almost like an illusion; their bodies partially clear and translucent, taking the shape of two coyotes. Without a word, Tobias looked at the building the scream came from and the two set out, walking through the walls of it into the room. Sharing his sight with the creatures, Tobias began to walk slightly forward; close enough so that he could still get back to the building in a matter of seconds, but still searching the streets for anymore signs of life. Taking a deep breath, he called out to the city, as loud as he could muster.
"Hey, anyone out there!? I'm lookin for survivors, refuges, anything that ain't gonna try and kill me! If you can hear me, just call out and I'll be over there as fast as I can be! Please, is there anyone there?!"
Zac crossed his arms and leaned back, all the way, until his head was upside down and on the ground, looking straight at the diminutive champion. He couldn't say he rather enjoyed dealing with him on the fields, but he did respect the rat's lack of kill-everything that was so common in Zaun. "Ah. I thought I smelled a rat. And what are you doing here, Twitch?"
Right when he finished saying that, the hostilities commenced. But, thankfully, Mundo put another pause to that. Zac curled backwards even more, his head and body going between his legs and back up, to look at the Madman of Zaun. This one was known to be a problem, but who knows... "And one more champion. Hello, Mundo."

The Doctor looked at the two champions with his mad, fluorescent yellow eyes, he himself wondering why the two were here & what was happening. For once, this wasn't one of the good Doctor's machinations let loose upon Zaun.
"Mundo would like to say that Mundo is not responsible for mutant outbreak. Mundo came to study it, & bring back live specimen if Mundo is lucky!"
Mundo picks up the corpse of whatever he had split in two, examining the torn and cleaved insides.
"...Hello, blubbering buffoon..." Twitch tried to silence this from his maw; oh he tried, but the words simply slipped out. "Doctor" Mundo's incessant desire to do "as he pleases" was completely irritating and insufferable, nearly to the point where the Plague Rat's insanity could double, or possibly even triple its intensity. Not only this, but their last encounter ended in a very thoroughly trampled rodent tail.
Twitch sighed a deep, face-palming sigh. Z.A.C. was tolerable; even considerable as a "friend" by human standards, but he considered Mundo to be...an abomination; the irony due to Twitch's nature was considered, of course, but the intent of such a being was beyond his understanding. JUST WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS PURPLE MADMAN'S EXISTENCE IF NOT ONLY TO COMPLETELY DISREGARD EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE AROUND HIM FOR HIS OWN PERSONAL GAMES!?
He looked to Z.A.C. for a moment, hoping by some miracle, that he would agree to get as far away from Mundo as possible, as fast as possible. Then again such a "buffoon" WAS useful...but LOOK WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME!
Compromises.
And yet the entire time, the Plague Rat had simply been thinking and chattering to himself during Mundo's entrance.

Mundo's head turns, a slight twist of muscle and the crack of his neck as his gaze turns down towards the odorous rodent that muttered at him. His hands let go of the severed mutant body, the squish and juggle of warm and rotting flesh smacking soundly against the floor. His right hand, which still held his bloody and rusted cleaver, swung down with murderous speed, and suddenly the cleaver found itself in the mutant half. The body jerked and twitched slightly from its impact; very unusual seeing as it was nowhere near its nervous system, but it is a mutant. Dr. Mundo bent down to Twitch's level, his glowing yellow eyes staring directly at the vermin before his feet as his hands rested on his bent knees, his overly muscular body somehow balanced on his purple feet.
Mundo grinned.
"Mundo think Twitch still sore about tail. Mundo suggest a massage, maybe a spa!"

(To Caerys) The cold streets of Zaun usually crowed and full of artificial light and uncaring people, concerned on how will they make some money to live another day, rather that the pollution and vice that had proliferated in such a place.
Now it was colder than ever devoid of any living activity and any machinery producing smoke and heat, or even the artificial lights that illuminated the illicit activities that proceed on such a place non the neon lights that announced that latest invents of the scientist that were climbing desperately their way up on such unforgiving society. As Caerys would walk the street illuminating them with her lamp but she would find out that the darkness on the city was not natural, as if the shadows on it wanted to consume every semblance of light or tranquility replacing it with obscurity and uncertainty, and what was worse it seemed like the shadows where about to take life as soon as one would take his gaze from them.
And apparently the apparent lack of sound was replaced with the sound of breathing of many different types of deformed creatures, maybe stalking the blood bride maybe not aware of her presence. Even the sound of the wind seemed to deform into the sound of a creeping monster, ready to attack at any second. Then soft cries at the distance the cries of a little girl that had lost all hope could be heard at the distance not too far away from where she was.
(To the champ team)
They creature laid motionless on the muscled giant hand sustained together by very few pieces of torn flesh, but it didn’t “bleed” instead of that in oozed a black liquid from the humongous wound. Then the liquid started to transform into a caustic pitch black gas that started to invade the room before the rest of the pack of creatures (2 deformed dogs and 1 mutated abomination) attacked the group concentrating on the purple giant.
The deformed abomination seemed to launch some short of biological variation of liquid hydrogen, while the other beasts attacked with their claws and teeth.
(For Tobi) The building was mostly empty only some deformed rodents, until the last room in there it was bloodied pink sweater torn from the inside out, showing the signs of some kind of eldritch transformation that had taken place on that building.
Then from the top roof of that room some short of tentacle creature with the deformed face of a small girl was producing the sounds probably in wait for prey.
He was no stranger to the streets of Zaun. He had practically been raised by them, as he spent most of his days wandering about trying to sneak into the many facilities that dealt in manufacturing, as well as the laboratories of the most renowned scientists of Zaun. But he had never seen them as barren as they were now. Not even the countless homeless, who roamed the streets begging for anything that could get them by for their measly days, were as prolific as they normally were. Everything was silent as the Machine Herald strolled casually, with utter disregard to the dangers that lurked about in the quarantined zone.
Viktor was quite familiar with Alchemax, as he was acquainted with and was professionally tied to the owner and CEO, the notorious Champion known as Singed. In fact, the augmented Zaunite had been delivering yet another weapon blueprint to the offices of the Mad Chemist when the catastrophe struck. Although he had initially evacuated at the behest of those involved and in charge, the subsequent offer of 40,000 Valors to those brave enough to recover any possible survivors was appealing to even a man of Viktor's stature. He could always use more funds to benefit his research and ultimately progress his evolution.
So here he was, acting as a savior to those unfortunate - and physically inferior, in his mind - people who had been unable to leave at the proper time. The Machine Herald walked through the streets of Zaun's quarantined area in search of survivors, his trademark staff in his right hand and gadgets at his disposal in case he was attacked by the biological abominations that no doubt stalked him and anyone else who might be here for the reward or various other reasons.

Dr. Mundo knows that smell, that potentially explosive smell he's so familiar with; he's played with it many times in his laboratories. The Doctor knows better not to set his body ablaze, although it would be really fun to. However, his cleavers are not explosive, and fully off limits to what he could do with them. The doctor lifted his cleaver out of the abomination half he cleaved in two just mere seconds ago, lifting it above his head; black oozy blood flicked across the room.
"Come to Mundo!"
With barbaric, chemically enhanced and unbridled strength, the doctor struck his cleaver deep into one of the dogs, the rusted, jagged metal hooking to him like a fish. The doctor then swung again, with the mutant dog carried along his cleaver, slamming the other dog into the formerly goo-free wall.
"Disgusting", he thought. Not only Dr. Mundo, but the abominations presented before them that seemed to drag themselves about with malicious intent. Two mutated and seemingly "bleeding" dogs, carelessly tossed about by Mundo's carefree hands. Twitch's smile grew slowly, watching the display with five steps ahead of them all; a plan forming bit by bit in his insane skull.
The rat simply watched as the purple giant tore their new-found enemies apart, not a move necessary by anyone else in the room. Sighing, Twitch returned to his previous task at hand and left the mutations to Mundo, rummaging through random objects and debris on the floor, looking for something or anything to keep; precious or otherwise.
Caerys, alone and in unfamiliar territory, focused on keeping on the move, attempting to block out the sounds both real and imagined from affecting her psyche. She now truly felt cursed, or doomed, as she attracted misfortune upon misfortune upon herself even outside the arena.
She kept moving but also kept pausing, every street corner, every manhole, every alleyway there possibly lurked a threat. Her breathing became labored, but her training did not allow her to panic or sieze up- she moved with purpose, until she began to hear a girl's crying.
Ignore it, her instincts said.
The crying continued, and it grated on what remained of her conscience. Her now was a chance to do something other than kill, other than harm... Caerys paused where she was and listened, to make sure it was not an auditory hallucination. She listened, and slowly began making her way to the girl instead, through winding alleyways and dark passages, much as her instincts told her to save herself. It was no longer just about surviving- it was living with herself.

Watching Mundo take down those... things without breaking a sweat brought a slight joy to Zac's mind, if they managed to stick together he was confident nothing could stand in their way. He decided it would be best for Mundo to be their "front line" for this and handle anymore incoming abominations. Zac made his way to Twich and looked over the little rat's shoulder as he went on with his task.
"And what exactly are you up to Twitch, Anything i can do to help out?"

Tobias saw the sights of the girl through the shared visions with his spirits, and almost vomited. There wasn't much that could bother the man, but idea of a child, an innocent soul, being tortured and changed like that, just got to him. Calling his spirits back, he continued roam the streets, looking for anymore signs of life. However, at this point, he drew both of his revolvers at the ready, not trusting that there wasn't something waiting to devour him anymore. Sending his wolves to opposite sides of the streets, he'd have them go through the houses, looking for anything of note they could find, all the while continuing down the street, wondering what in the world could be left in this city if that kind of creature was roaming around. Calling out in a vain attempt for some hope for himself, he prayed something would respond to him.
"Hey! Is there anythin' out there that's still alive?! Come on, I'm here to get yah out! Let me help yah!"
When I hear that trumpet sound I'm gonna rise right out of the ground Ain't no grave Can hold my Body down
