April 17th 23 CLE
The forests of Ionia were a rather tranquil place, unless one is unfortunate to run into Udyr, and were perhaps some of the most beautiful forests in Valoran. The fading sunlight gave the budding flowers and trees a beautiful glow that faded with every passing second. The monks of the monastery would be finishing dinner, evening meditation, or perhaps opening up a book to further their enlightenment at this hour.
The tranquil forest posed very little danger to the travelers as bandits were not as common as they were in the mainland, and rarely would a ninja have anything to with a passing traveler. Often times a traveler may not even be aware of their presence. Thus the two often passed by without incident, and no connections were made, nor would names ever be exchanged.
However, this time around a certain golden eyed gypsy was traveling through these forests. And there was a particular female ninja, in training, that did have interest in him. Whether or not she would take this chance to see him again was up to her, and perhaps whether or not she could get away with it. After all her teacher may not exactly approve of such visits with an 'outlaw gypsy'.
Regardless of her decision Twisted Fate was not quite aware of that ninja in training's presence just yet, or if he was he didn't show it. Though little did that the origami gifted ninja know, there was another trailing her.

The night was cold, the air was dry, but the dark skies were decorated with garlands of bright stars and colorful planets. The pale moon shed its powerful light over the Ionian forests, illuminating the darkness and chasing away the shadows of the dark night. An icy silence reigned over the forests, the only noise that could perceived was the melody of the crickets who were singing endlessly throughout the night.
The temple of shadows was in sight. A black figure was observing it through the tree branches were it settled itself safely to make sure none of Zed's ninjas would be able to spot it. However, little did you notice, it was no other than the Captain of the Ionian Guards herself. Her emerald gaze was as sharp as the eagle's, her ears were as powerful as the valiant bat, her senses were on the highest alert state as long as she'll remain in these dangerous territories.
Irelia had no other particular reason to be here, except for that one person Shen have told her about. The captain unfortunately didn't get enough information to know when she'd leave the temple, if she ever did... But she took the decision to spy over it to see if she'd ever leave it at night. Who knew? Maybe she wanted to escape the prison she found herself in, or she just wanted to sneak out to embrace the fresh air of the Ionian forests. As long as Irelia would catch her slipping out of there, it'd be all she needed.
The shadows grew deep from the intense rays that shone from the moon, ever darkening the vibrant ebony beneath the canvas of trees and shrubbery. The tall building that once stood as the Kinkou's home, a darkened place for anyone who'd lay their eyes on it.
A small quarrel broke out near the main door that lead up into the temple. Several shadow students surrounding a single figure who stood at the ready with a bold glint in her violet eyes. As shadow clones multiplied, a devious grin spread across the hooded figure's visible lips with clones of shadow origami suddenly spreading out around her. The group came in for the attack, some by themselves, and others all at once. But the 'prisoner' seemed to fare well, despite the clear strikes that connected with her body. She was no Champion, but she was hardly anyone to take for granted.
The cheongsam was black as a moonless night as she stood there with a few students remaining up. It was clear they had some bone to pick with her, but Sky had become increasingly hardened from the exposure of this life. As one came in again, she sidestepped, snapping her hand back to grab the assailants hair and throwing him to the ground in front of her. A soft scowl settled on her lips with the rest of her visage hidden in the shadow cast by the hood. With each step, the man on the ground crawled backward. Sky jerked forward, forcing him to let out a startled cry before she'd grin and step back seeming to mutter something before she'd turn to walk away.
As Sky neared the gates, she'd gently clutch her midsection with slightly gritted teeth. A sign that her tolerance was not as high as she tried to show, and that she had sustain some real damage from being jumped. She spit towards the ground, before dropping an origami tiger as she started to run. As it hit the ground, a real tiger would burst into existence which she would quickly jump on top of.
Ahead of her, a small origami crane would flutter seeming to be leading her somewhere.

Twisted Fate wandered through the forest of Ionia, another day of traveling would soon come to an end. However, he was unaware that he was not too far away from Zed's temple. Nonetheless Twisted Fate carried on hoping to find a suitable clearing in the forest so he may make camp. Certain events were occurring around him that he was not aware of, such as Irelia's recon and Sky's plans.
Though a sound of someone approaching reached the gypsy's ears. He drew a card, because he did not know who was closing in on him. Graves? Irelia? Zed? Shen? Who knows, but Twisted Fate was not about to take any chances. The card began to glow gold as his eyes scanned the trees around him looking for the source of the sound.

Irelia remained in her position as she scanned the area carefully, her emerald gaze raked her surroundings while her ears stayed in their states of high alert, listening closely to the sounds that the wind carried along its path as it brushed her face and roamed far away from her afterward.
Her instincts whispered to her, an unknown presence was lurking in the darkness of the forest near the location where she was positioned. Something seemed unsettling about this situation but the Captain kept her calm and quiet attitude.
The sound of the cracking woods and the frail leaves danced in the air as the wind kept racing through the empty forest; a couple of crickets could be heard as they sang endlessly and relentlessly. It was rather disturbing for Irelia as it disrupted her listening capacities, which would hide from her any sound that would help her catch the person she was searching for.
At least the moonlight was still illuminating the darkness which would still allow her to see any traveler or suspicious figure that would come by. However, the young woman will not wait all night in this dangerous place, not wanting to risk her life and fall for one of Zed's ninjas.
Irelia held her spot, waiting patiently for her target as the minutes steamed away.
Sky drew a smaller origami of a simple koi fish, allowing it to ignite with magic as it seemed to come alive. It's small body spiraled around her form, allowing a healing light to illuminate around the area she was more badly hurt. The pain slowly subsided, and the origami shattered into light leaving a small trail behind her as she continued to ride the tiger's back.
The crane fluttered about quickly then shifted direction to lead Sky nearer to the one she sought, unaware that she was passing beneath Irelia on her way towards Twisted Fate.

The forest has found its dead silence once more as the animals and insects hushed and hid in their homes quickly away from the tiger that was nearing the path where Irelia was waiting patiently. The flare of the origami's light caught the Captain's gaze as her eyes swiftly locked on the person that went underneath her, trailing the mysterious figure carefully as it crossed the path and carried on.
Her expression remained cold and cautious. She got up quietly, making sure to make no sound as she landed perfectly on the ground behind the person and followed her movements carefully, using the fading light that trailed behind her as a mark so that she wouldn't lose her trace and make sure to catch up with her as soon as possible.
She wasn't thinking of anything specific, but her blades seemed to be quite agitated as they let out a rather low steel screech, which would only mean that deep down, Irelia was as well. Her heart's beat remained normal however even though she wasn't feeling much safe following this person; and who knew if she was followed by one of those bloody shadow ninjas that could have spotted her when she took all the necessary measures to remain as stealthy as possible in the darkness that claimed its territory over the Ionian forest.
The origami crane fluttered onward ahead of her and soon pierced a thick barrier of trees before flying into view of Twisted Fate. It circled around the Gypsy as if it were celebrating that it had found him in the forest, but Sky had fallen behind a little on the tiger and would take a moment more to arrive to the clearing as well.
As Sky watched the faded glow of her origami far up ahead, and witnessed it disappear into the thick veil of trees, the tiger slowly came to a stop before she climbed from its back and let out a small cough. She still hurt, but she wasn't nearly as bad off as she was. The tiger nuzzled into her before it'd disappear back into the paper origami it had come from, being quickly scooped up by Sky and tucked away. "Thanks.." She said under her breath, thankful for the help from the little creatures.
Feeling the little crane nearby, she'd begin to straighten up a bit knowing that her other half was just beyond the trees. A small smile touching her bruised features, turning to make her way forward. But would Irelia stop her before she might step into the clearing? Or remain back and observe? She didn't take notice of her in the slightest. Sky's focus was on being with Twisted Fate.

Twisted Fate eyed the area around the clearing, what a bad spt he had gotten himself into. A thick line of trees made it difficult to see out of the clearing. Fortunately, the same was mostly true for those that took advantage of the cover. He would have to be lucky in order to spot or counter-attack his possible pursuer.
How unlucky for them that they chose to cross the luckiest man in all of Runeterra.
The gypsy heard the slightest flutter of wings come from behind him and he turned ready to throw the glowing card in his hand, when his sharp golden eyes identified what was causing the noise. A familiar paper crane began to fly circles around him. Obviously it was excited, and its owner couldn't be far. He held out his free hand for the crane to land on, which after a few more excited laps around his hat it did.
Speaking of his hat, he better be prepared for it to be taken off his head.....again. Though his expression softened and a light chuckle came from his mouth. Mai must be stepping on some major toes to see him, after all he was aware that Zed did not approve of her 'seeing' him.
For now, he waited to see when Mai would reveal herself to him. Until then the softest sound of a card dancing across his finger could be heard as he moved the gold card effortlessly from finger to finger. However, it would never move between his ring and pinky finger. It is much harder to throw a card with a great amount of force between those two fingers, and the traveler was not a hundred percent certain that Mai did not accidentally bring unwanted company.

The dark thick tree lines made it hard to see past Sky's shoulders. Irelia wasn't quite sure why she stopped here, but nonetheless, it didn't matter much; she had one objective in her mind and she had to accomplish it. From what her memory reminded her, the person described in Shen's report perfectly matched the one she was chasing after.
She frowned as an aura of determination overwhelmed her pupils and her thoughts, pushing her to tread towards her target carefully while remaining hidden in the obscurity of the endless night. Her mind ordered the blades to follow her and to stay as low as possible... and so they did; they hovered a few millimeters above the ground just like a surfboard, avoiding any obstacle that they could come across as they kept track with Irelia's steps.
The Captain was a few feet away from the woman, whether she should intercept her now or not depended on the upcoming situation. While she couldn't foresee the future, Irelia knew that something was going to occur within these trees, perhaps she wanted to meet someone? But is he a good person? Or another secret operative working for the Noxians or the Order itself? Regardless, she had to be careful about that.
Something felt.. off.. Something seemed to shift in the atmosphere as Sky stood there. Violet eyes flicked through the shadows; through the canvas that concealed the man she had been tracking with her little crane origami. Her eyebrows lifted gently, wrinkling her forehead as she'd reach her hand into the edge of her top to withdraw a snail origami between her index and middle finger.
As she did so, her body seemed to loosen slightly, before she turned with a nimble grace, to face the area behind her. She drew her hand back mid-motion and went to fling the origami towards the intruder but despite how fast she was, and how trained she might have been, was she fast enough to throw it? With rapid motion, the pirate flicked her arm, and wrist forward to throw the snail origami towards the shadow she thought might have been someone. Should it actually hit, it would activate forming a slick goo around Irelia's feet, slowing her down.

The way the woman acted for a few seconds has placed Irelia on the edge of her focus as she kept a close eye on the darkened figure. The wind hushed as the leaves leaned down and the trees went silent along with the animals, rising the unsettled feeling that rested in Irelia's consciousness.
Suddenly, she noticed the Origami that came flying straight towards her as the woman gracefully turned around and hurled it at Irelia. Her spirit immediately clicked and summoned a spiritual blade that went straight at the origami that was set to reach her. Little did she know that upon impact, she would receive the goo that it carried inside and would be slowed for a few minutes. However, the Captain herself remained calm and summoned the rest of the four blades that were remaining, ready to defend herself or to even halt the woman if she attempted to attack her or to run away.
Sky knew few of the Champions and likely wouldn't recognize Irelia straight away. However she wasn't about to stick around and fight either, as she really wasn't very good at it. As the blade came forward, her eyes widened watching it slice through the snail origami only to watch the motions slow. Frantic, Sky fumbled for another origami within the edge of her top. She turned to run, only to feel the blades catch onto her feet forcing her to trip up and fall, skidding forward slightly.
As she hit the ground, she let out a cry loud enough to likely alert TF to her. Quickly Sky rolled onto her back, grabbing a hand full of dirt and throwing it towards Irelia's eyes to try to blind her hoping she might manage to distract her with it allowing Sky time to get back to her feet.

Mai's cry did most certainly alert the gypsy who was waiting for her appearance since she enjoyed catching him by "surprise". The crane in his hand quickly took to the air and flew to where the scream came from, but Twisted Fate was already ahead of it. He busted through the blocking trees and saw Mai throw dirt at what he assumed to be her assailant. However, another thing caught his eye and that was the blade that he assumed attacked Mai.
Suddenly there was a snapping sound as the shining gold card was launched from Twisted Fate's hand directly at Irelia. She would have to act fast in order to dodge the card, unless of course Twisted Fate's appearance caught her off guard. He quickly drew another three cards and held them at the ready while staring at Irelia from under his hat.
"What the hell do ya' think yer're doin' Irelia!?" The gypsy exclaimed to the captain of the guard. His free hand was just in reach of Mai and was open enough that she could grab it and pull herself up.

Irelia kept her calm composure as she got up on her feet and blocked with her arm the dirt that was aimed for her eyes. The three other spiritual blades kept hovering above her figure, ready to be used in-case Sky would attempt to hurl another origami at her.
Although, her attention was too focused on Sky to notice Fate's arrival at the scene, however, the sound of the air getting sliced by the golden card as it was thrown at her caught the attention of her hearing senses which immediately made her eyes switch target at the assailant's card. With one swift and graceful movement with her hand, she instinctively commanded one of her blades to intercept the card in the midst of its flight, cutting through the frail material of the object before landing in between Fate's feet.
The Captain darted a glare at Twisted Fate as she recognized the man. Her jaded emerald eyes fixated the man intently as her sword rose beside her, letting out an intimidating steel growl at the man and the woman who stood a few feet away. A heavy silence fell upon her shoulders as she remained quiet and showed no emotion or any sort of expression over her face, letting the sound of the wind brush over the scene before she finally spoke with a cold voice.
"Telling you might reveal too much of my task, however..."
Her eyes shifted from Fate's to Sky's as she carried on.
