"Go to one of the bedrooms if you wish to change. I'll find something suitable for usage in teaching out of this scrap metal lying around."
Poppy slides off the anvil and walks around the room, looking through the different pieces of metal lying around in boxes in the room. So much unused metal... still left over from years ago when Blomgrun used it. Some of it would find new use...
She picks one of the pieces and leans Whomper against the anvil before picking up large smith's tongs. She places the piece of metal in the tongs and positions the metal in to the flames to heat up while waiting for Titus to be ready.
Titus enters into one of the bedrooms to change. But it's not just an ordinary bedroom, this particular one belong to Poppy...and his 'hallucinations' are correct: Poppy's room is extremely girly. First the thought of Poppy naked and now the girly bedroom...
He decides to ignore it and change his clothes. He takes off his tunic and boots. Then he dons the blacksmith outfit and puts on his boots back again, with some of the pants inside the boots.
He finally walks out and enters the Smithy, ready to learn whatever he can. Titus leans at the edge of the door that leads to the forge.

"First of all, smithing is hard work. It takes a fair bit of strength. There should a smaller hammer somewhere on the side, since I doubt you would be able to use Whomper due to it's size and weight."
Poppy pulls out the sheet of metal from the forge's flames, the piece now glowing brightly signifying it's heat. She places the piece on the anvil, holding it there with the tongs and picking up Whomper.
"It also takes great patience to mold the metal into the proper shape while making sure it is strong enough. It takes hours to create the shape of a blade, but to finish one takes much longer."
She swings Whomper in a wide arc, smashing against the metal, causing sparks to fly and the metal to change shape slightly. She continues swinging a few times before moving the plate to a trough of water and dunking it in the water, a puff of steam coming from the contact.
"Also, you need to heat the metal before shaping it, but it is also necessary to cool it at times to make sure it stays in good condition. "
She shapes the metal for a slight moment again before placing it in the flames and turning to Titus.
"Those are the most basic things to know before working. Pick up a hammer, and give shaping the plate a shot. I'll see what can be improved upon."
Titus picks up the nearby hammer and examines the burning metal plate. Could he make it into a sword? He aims his hammer and slams it into the metal to try and make a slight slanting surface. Sparks fly out as the two collide. However, he doesn't know much about smithing and Titus expects more words from Poppy.
Titus says nothing and nods his head, agreeing to Poppy's every word. He looks down at the new hot piece of metal and takes a deep breath. Then at a raise of the hand, the hammer descends with greater force to slam the metal. He repeats the hammering again with each greater force than ever.

Better... but it would take years to teach him to make something properly, and there was only one day of time.
"There isn't too much I can teach you in the course of one day, it takes years to learn how to make anything properly."
She takes the free plate of metal from the forge and places it on another anvil, starting to hit it a few times with Whomper. The metal is shaped with apparent ease, probably due to the weight of Whomper combined with Poppy's strength.
"Don't expect anything great from what you learn today..."

"Not sure. There's a multitude of things I could create from this, given enough time. But I do not think I have that amount of time, so I will probably not finish this until the next time I return here."
Poppy continues hitting the plate for a while before looking at it. It was now a square plate with a slight inclines on the sides, making it looks like a very low pyramid shape.
"Do continue hitting your plate. You won't learn anything by just watching someone who's done it for their whole life do it."
He takes a quick peek at Poppy's plate, seeing that it's square and has inclinations on the side. Looks like she might be making a shield. He looks at plate of his and continues striking it with force, specifically at the sides so that he can try to make a shield of his own.

"Keep working, I'll make sure there is something ready for when you need to take a break."
Poppy lifts Whomper to her shoulder and walks out of the forge room. She then places the hammer against a couch in the living room and walks over to the kitchen, taking off her smithing hat. Her whole outfit was already full of coal dust, and the day was just beginning.
Shrugging, she looks through her cabinets, finding some surprisingly chilled apple juice. She places it on the table in the living room before returning to the kitchen to grab a couple of cups and bringing them to the table as well.
While Poppy leaves the room, Titus keeps hammering at the slab of metal in front of him. Sparks of fire fly out of the metal with each swing. He tries to mimic what Poppy did, forming th slab into some square shape that might form not a shield from what it looks like so far. But with each swing and with the intense heat from the forge, Titus tires himself.

Poppy walks back over to the forge and looks at Titus's work, her expression as unmoving as ever.
"Hmm... that metal would not last a minute in a fight as it is now. Remember, I told you to cool it at times. The steel needs to be tempered, not just smashed into shape. Untempered blades..."
She picks up an unfinished sword from a nearby table, unimportant practice piece, and hits a nearby table with it. The blade instantly shatters into a dozen small pieces.
Titus may not show much emotion just like Poppy but he's secretly amazed when Poppy shatters her one slab of metal. He looks at his own piece of metal, wondering if it too is fragile like the broken pieces on the floor. He drops the hammer on the table and looks at Poppy. His would be shield needs more work.

Poppy looks at Titus for a moment, pondering if the man was serious. She then points at a large wooden container filled with water next to the forge, rolling her eyes.
"You'd think it to be quite obvious..."
She chuckles and places the piece of metal she'd been working on, cooled by the air while she was gone, back into the forge's flames and waits for it to heat up again.
