The day before today, Darius had received a letter. It had a black seal, with a rose pressed into it, that held it together. It requested his presence in the Darkborne Hold, second story, third corridor, fourth room on the left.
Once Darius opened the doors, he would see a table, a bottle of fine Noxian red wine, two crystal glasses, and the Deceiver staring out the window wistfully. It was late in the evening, and the moon could be seen now. The room was more or less barren save for the table, the wine and the glasses.

Darius did receive the letter and opened it with apprehension after he recognized the seal placed upon it. He didn't trust the Rose, the Matron was especially included in this sentiment, however the Grand General trusted her greatly and he was not one to let anyone wrap their fingers around him. Despite that, the Matron still rubbed The Hand of Noxus the wrong way. There may have been strength in deception but in the end it was an under handed and ultimately cowardly way to get what you wanted. It spat over his ideals, much like Zaun did.
He read the note and knew the room she spoke of in the hold. This was to be a meeting then, it seemed inevitable that they would have to eventually sit and speak face to face, if she would even truly be there, and have a proper discussion. He would arrive in formal attire, discarding his weapon and armor for the time being. He trusted that nothing would happen. LeBlanc would make no moves against him, he thought he knew that much at least.
The doors open and Darius walked in confidently with his ever stone face. Leblanc was here, starring at the moonlit sky it seemed. A table was set out, complete with wine and two glasses that seemed to shine in the moonlight. He pulled a chair out and sat upon it, his eyes looking at the Matron expectantly.
"I'm here as you requested. What was it you wished to discuss?"

LeBlanc looked over her shoulder and smiled at Darius. "Greetings, General Darius. I am glad to see that you were able to make time in your schedule to see pretty little me."
The Deceiver turned around and took long steps towards her chair. The seat slowly scooted back despite there being no hand or any visible force moving it. Once LeBlanc stood in front of the table, the chair slid underneath her and she took her seat.
"Please, help yourself to the wine, dear. My tastes are quite excellent," she said in a warm, reassuring tone. "I requested your presence here so we can...clear the air, between us. To settle some matters."
LeBlanc leaned forward, resting her hands on the table and smiling at Darius the entire time. "On your whim, General."

Darius had no doubts the wines were not tampered with and that they were of fine taste; it was a pity that Darius wasn't much of a wine person. It wasn't anything against LeBlanc or the wine itself, it just wasn't his thing.
"You made a request to meet with me, even if I dislike you I at the very least owe you punctuality." He reached for the bottle and poured himself a glass, taking her invitation if only because it was polite.
She leaned forward and Darius eyes homed in upon her eyes, her demeanor and everything about her conflicted with his ideals, even more so than General Blackwinds. Outright deception was not something he condoned.
"Very well. Let us clear the air then." He stated. "I want to know about the Rose and your own ties with The Grand General." She was always in his shadow, whether she was seen or not.

LeBlanc raised her eyebrows and smiled at Darius. "Very well. The rose is a well-respected flower, one that Noxus is famous for. It comes in many different colors, tints and shades. It can be used for fine cuisine and perfumes, but is best used as a display piece in my humble opinion."
She knew that Darius was not the type to have a very good sense of humor. The Deceiver reached over and tapped at the wine bottle, her glass filling halfway up with a dark, red liquid while the bottle seemed to drain itself through mysterious means. "The Black Rose is an organization, dear, a bureaucracy of sorts would be the best way to describe it. As for my ties to the Grand General?"
LeBlanc picked her glass up and started to sip at her wine. "You can say that I am his adviser." Her eyes locked with Darius', a cool smile parting her full lips. Her tongue slowly exited the thin space between her pearly teeth and licked her top lip, catching the droplet of wine that had remained. "Do you find me distasteful?"

The humor failed, falling on his face. His expression didn't change, it was as if he failed to hear anything at all. His eyes followed her hand as she half filled a bottle of wine in her own way. It seemed lazy to him. Shortly after came an answer.
"No. However, you have no taste to be judged off of. I don't enjoy working with something elusive and unknown. While I am at the Grand General's side, you are in his shadow. Whether you are seen or not, you are there. And in recent years, you've been felt more than anyone else among us on the High Command than anyone else. Of that much I am sure."

"I am only elusive and unknown when I need to be, darling," LeBlanc cooed in reply. "Allow me to settle your fears."
She took one more delicate taste of the wine before setting the glass on the table. Her hand stretched out, palm upwards. "Go ahead, touch my hand." The Deceiver gave Darius a flirtatious grin and beckoned with her fingers for him to follow her command. "See how 'elusive' I am, see if I am a figment of your imagination, or if I am a humble woman serving the best interests of our great city of Noxus."

Darius took The Matron's hand at her command; obeying her without hesitation as if she were a superior officer. If she was there she would feel the gentle touch of a hardened warrior's calloused hand taking her petite and smooth one. Darius had no doubts she had not shown in person; she had requested his presence for this meeting after all. Though, it was odd to think that The Deceiver's intent was sincere. Her flirtatious demeanor was likely more polite but felt like deception of its own. He didn't like it.
"You exist and I know this is not a figment. However, just because I can feel you does not mean I believe everything. This is, however, a step. We define ourselves through action. Not words."

LeBlanc raised a coy eyebrow, her silky voice nearly a whisper in his ears. "And what have my actions said of me? If you look at my actions, you will only see a woman who has two cares in this world: For Noxus, and for the Grand General."
The Deceiver tilted her head to the side, allowing her bangs to fall past her face, and smiled at Darius. "The human tongue is, after all, the most powerful muscle one has in their body. There really is very little difference between us, General Darius. Even you use your mind, dear. Yours is that of steel, unbreakable, not bendable, and that mind creates an indomitable will. The only difference between you and I, is that you use your brutal might to sunder your enemies. I use my brutal wit, my fierce cunning, to overcome my obstacles. Is that so wrong of me?"

"I think your current actions say you're a flirt; one trying to butter me up so that I may go against my better judgement and easily come to accept you. Your other actions would suggest that you would rather work behind the curtain so the world may only see results but not actions. You would prefer that you still have an air of mystery around you and your garden of roses. I think your methods are underhanded, and unacceptable. I look down on other methods too, not just yours. However, I would be a damned fool to not acknowledge the strength behind their ways and I would be even more of a fool to not respect them. " Darius would lift his glass of wine and sip it, taste it.
"I acknowledge your loyalty towards The Grand General. I do, however, think your ways are the wrong ways. Normally, I would not trust a Deceiver however The Grand General trust you so i turn, I will in turn grant you trust, although reluctently." He would however keep an eye out, especially around her.

LeBlanc would raise her right hand and pat Darius' cheek gently. "And your skepticism, your raw intellect, is why you are such a valued ally. Your strength, yes it is valuable, but the quiet intelligence you carry within you? That is worth entire armies, and this is why I feel no fear from your presence."
The Deceiver would grab her glass with her left hand, then raise it towards the Hand of Noxus. "To bygones being bygones, dear?"

At her gentle touch the Hand of Noxus narrowed her eyes and listened to what he assumed was the equivalent of sweet nothings.
"Bygones being bygones." He raised his own glass to hers.
"And this would be the part where I drink the glass and it turns out to be either a hallucinogen or a poison. Or perhaps neither. We'll find out but if it harms me you won't even have time to scream or laugh." The voice was completely serious but the Hand of Noxus smirked before taking the first taste.
In all honesty, he did not expect it to be poisoned but at the very most for her to have tampered with it in such a way that the colors in the room would be off. Tide colors for skin pigment and pokadot patterns about.
