Name: Neronis Voxel
Alias: "The Gauntlet"
Class: Warrior
Race: Human
Age: 37
Occupation: High Command General
Residence: Villa de Voxel, Noxus
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Abilities: Neronis holds no magical powers or superhuman abilities. Instead he prizes his ability to lead and inspire his armies, his martial combat prowess, and his raw skill in combat.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: General Voxel is proficient with all martial weapons (such as swords, axes, maces, polearms, etc.) and with all armor (heavy, light, and medium) and shields (including tower shields).
Veteran Man-at-Arms: Every true warrior knows that having a weapon for every occasion is paramount to victory in a battle. General Voxel is no stranger to this, and has chosen to carry a variety of weapons: An arming sword, a kite shield, a flanged mace, and a polearm (usually either a halberd or other poking instrument).
Command Squad: General Voxel has a personal retinue of soldiers under his command that he entrusts to protect and fight alongside him on the battlefield. This command squad is a common formation of elite specialists who accompany the general on the field of battle. The exact nature and title of the squadron's members can vary, depending on the type of soldiers who are hand-picked by the general himself. Their loyalty lies with the General himself, whose loyalty lies with Swain and Noxus.
Inspiring Presence: The mere sight of Voxel's heraldic display, which is a bloodied steel gauntlet, is enough to keep a steady morale amongst his troops. Those under his command either fear or relish the experience of fighting under his command. The banner bearer who carries this display is a hand-picked Noxian veteran with many years of combat experience. In the midst of battle he/she is often the focal point the command squad will rally around in the heat of battle. The banner bearer is usually chosen by the general for this honorable duty because of his or her bravery and steadfastness in battle.
Relationships: Being a general of the High Command, he is heavily affiliated with the Master Tactician and the other generals on a political basis. He is also highly revered by his old brothers-in-arms that he fought beside during the old days before he was appointed as a High Command General. These soldiers were common Noxians, ranging from archers, footmen, siege engineers, or cavalrymen that have served in previous campaigns and have grown to respect Neronis over the years.
Outside of Noxus, he has a few trusted informants and acquaintances that he calls upon for more subtle tasks. The Zaunite engineer, the merchant that deals under the table, the shady rogue, all are possible contacts for General Voxel.
No matter how many resources he may have, his loyalty is unwavering. He believes in a golden age under the leadership of Swain, and will follow him until the end. He is not afraid to voice legitimate concerns and suggestions to the Master Tactician if it's for the better of Noxus.
Description: Neronis Voxel is a well-built man with brown hair and green eyes. In the midst of battle, he usually keeps his personal features hidden to conjure up the image of a dark, imposing figure to his enemies. He wears a suit of heavy plate armor that bears a variety of heraldic symbols which make up his coat of arms. His most common display is the bloody gauntlet, which was inspired from a fictional war story of the general beating down barbarians with his bare hands that his soldiers tell to recruits to scare them on their first months of duty.
Biography: Neronis was a bright individual, born to the prestigious Voxel family during the reign of Darkwill. In his childhood years, Neronis had a desire to learn how to channel the mysterious art of magic, but his father resented such things. He was sent off to be schooled on basic education of mathematics, Noxian history, and fine arts. He often daydreamed on occasion, ever curious about a life in a wizard college. As he later grew up, his passions changed to learning about historical wars and the tactical genius behind the victories that Noxus had claimed.
Thus, his military career was born. Upon graduation from his learning school, he naively set off to join the Noxian military. Upon arrival, he was a bit surprised when he was only given the rank of being a recruit. A mere, lowly recruit, he thought to himself. He was given a regiment to serve under and an officer to report to. His early orientation was rough, he was often ridiculed for not being as naturally skilled as other soldiers, and he was usually the butt of the regiment's jokes the soldiers tell each other. It was a crippling weakness. He had to fight twice as hard to gain the attention of his superiors.
Upon being sent to duty to serve in the Freljord Pacification, he started to train, exercise, and practice for the long years ahead. A taste of true battle was to be experienced. He felt a bit afraid, but also curious at the same time. This was going to be another historical war, one that he would partake in as one of thousands of would-be-veterans. If he survived, of course.
Fighting in battle formations and earning his first kills began to shape him. Whereas a normal man would shudder at the notion of killing another human being, Neronis tried to erase such feelings. He wanted glory. He wanted victory. Most important of all, he wanted to survive. Freljord was a bitter, cold land and Neronis couldn't stand fighting in such a place. The other soldiers who once teased and made fun of him felt the same. For the first time in his career, they sat near the campfire beside him and shared roasted meat and cold ale.
After returning from Freljord, Neronis had shown particular skill in tactics. His commanding officer offered him as a candidate for promotion. In order to test him, they sent him through a series of skirmishes as a junior officer. Neronis hesitated at first, but eagerly accepted the proposal to began a career as a higher ranking soldier. More years passed as Neronis took part in the Ionian wars, and witnessed the rise of the Master Tactician to power. By then, he was a developed war veteran, using his brain and brawn both to equal extent. His passion for history and warfare was still burning strong.
Over the span of the wars in Freljord and Ionia, Neronis felt that there was going to be change amongst the political bodies of Noxus. Swain, also known as the Master Tactician, was becoming more popular by the year. This was going to make his career difficult as times may become unsteady in the future. Nevertheless, his years of experience and charismatic leadership earned him a seat in Darkwill's High Command. The responsibility and renown that came with his new position was a bit unsettling for Neronis. He was always used to being a low-ranking officer, but to be a High Command General was a different story.
Now, times have changed. General Voxel's previous suspicions were aroused once more as he realized that Darkwill had fallen out of favor. A duel with Darkwill's upstart son had initiated and Swain was to be crowned Grand General after his triumphant victory. He was going to be the highest ranking official in all of Noxus.
Despite the sudden change in authority, Voxel does his best to orient himself to new leadership. While he doesn't personally know much about Grand General Swain, he strives to become more involved with him in the upcoming years. No matter what happens, Noxus shall always stand.
