Name: Nova Vespera
Alias: Lady Starlight
Class: Support Mage
Race: Human
Age: 25
Occupation: Steward Summoner
Residence: Ionia, Vespera Estate / The Institute of War
Alignment: Neutral Good
Abilities:
Summoning
Empathic nature: Nova can sense the feeling of others. The drawback is it filters into her own system if its strong enough. Ex. Put her in a room of enraged people and she gets enraged herself. Her own emotional strength, however, is fairly strong, so it would be unfair to say she's easily swayed.
Example 2:
On a scale of 1 to 5, Tryndamere has an emotional strength of 1 while Karma (old Karma) has an emotional strength of 5. Nova has a 3.5, strong enough to keep calm in most desperate situations, but still reasonably susceptible to the influences of others emotions.
Aura Sight - Others emotions facilitate themselves as colors around themselves. She has little idea what colors match up as what.
Return to Sender - Nova can teleport once a day between her estate and a secure location about and hour and a half's walk from the Institute of War
Relationships:
The Vesperas: Her father's side of the family, a high house in Ionia. She and her brother are star (no pun intended) children, despite a reckless father and good for nothing mother having raised them. Her grandmother even so graciously left her estate to the young Lady Starlight. She loves them dearly, but would rather not spend too much time with them due to their single-mindedness.
The Cabrets: Her mother's side of the family; quiet and humble country folk. Though never fond of Nova's father, they were always there for her and her mother when things went sour.
Estelle Cabret: Nova's mother. Always supportive of her children. Pushed Nova to go into the institute in the first place. Remarried and moved to Demacia after Nova's father's disappearance.
Lucien Vespera: Her brother. A typical sibling relationship. Nova tries to support him despite how often they butt heads. She secretly admires how bold he often is.
Various Champions: As a steward you get the pleasure of knowing a few. She prefers the supports, as they are the least intimidating.
Description:
Nova likes to think she's tall for a girl at a height of 5'7". Due to a few destructive ad medical factors (hypoglycemia, a metabolism disorder, and often forgetting to eat), she only weighs in at 115 lbs.
Her eyes are hazel, tending towards green or brown depending on what she's wearing. Her hair, naturally, is a mousey blonde; though she tends to dye the bangs a shade of purple just on the redder side of her summoner's robes. The hairstyle is a short yet extreme wedge bob for the sake of practicality.
She had a slender body-type with a wide chest, making her bust look a bit smaller than it really is (she's rather self conscious about this). Due to the way she walks, her waist is thin; contrasting her wide hips. Most of her height comes from her legs. She wears a size 10 women's wide shoe (wide feet and long toes) and walks slightly pigeon-toed.
--
As a person, Nova is quiet. She prefers to observe than to comment on a situation. That is, of course, unless her personal morals are involved. When dealing with subjects near and dear to her (Enlightenment, Stones, The stars, Empathy, etc) she has the potential to become an entirely different person. She stands straighter and with more confidence. She speaks louder either in a dreamy sort of 'lost-to-her-passions' sense or a 'sit-down-and-shut-up-because-I-am-educating-you' sense. Nothing sparks this though more than the subject of her naivety; that is, her belief that there is a spark of good in most of us. When challenged here, that this is false, she seeks to prove it in any way she can. To her, the world is filled with the misuderstood and we must either grin and bear it, or guide them to the path of light.
She is human though. She's prone to vices and faults. She's not always as sure of herself as she should be. She's afraid of making mistakes. And she is vengeful. To betray Lady Starlight is to make a lasting enemy who, while she cannot take you down with her own hands, will find other ways to seek her just rewards.
Biography:
Nova was born and raised in central Ionia. With everything Ionia went through, from it's Noxian occupation to its decision to join the League, Nova decided at a young age that she wanted to make a difference. She looked to the leaders and heads as inspiration. This became especially so after her father disappeared when she was seven. Despite everything, the only information she ever got from her mother about the ordeal was that he was 'out looking for something'.
She discovered her abilities at the age of eight with great excitement. She'd been often told of a woman who could 'calm the storms' and that, was exactly what she wanted.
Due to a reasonably wealthy (at least on one side) upbringing, Nova was well educated growing up. The problem was that Nova had little interest in typical education. She showed more interest in magic and the stars. While most of her family pushed her in one direction, it was her mother who noticed she wished to head in the other.
On her eighteenth birthday, after two years of living in Demacia with her mother and new step-father, Nova (with her mother's help and careful pushing) made her way into the institute of war. She lived on site for two-years until she heard the news of her grandmother's death in Ionia. She was to be left the woman's estate as a 'proper home'. To please them, she agreed and took some time off to spend back in Ionia.
However, even after a few months she longed for the Institute, and at the start of the following year returned.
Though inexperienced, her real dream was to become a steward. For three years, she worked as hard as she could to reach a point of consideration. She had duties at home (the estate came with strings attached) she had to return to now and then, and with her semi-frequent absences the institute revoked her personal room rights, instead often pairing her with a willing summoner or champion more permanently stationed at the League.
It wasn't until this year she was finally considered worthy of a Steward position.
