Maelstrom 1v1 Tournament: May 25

Greetings, Maelstrom folk!

There has been much interest expressed to me of late in holding a Maelstrom tournament, so here is our proposed event:

1v1 tournament to be held May 25th, beginning noon CST (6pm GMT) and ending upon completion. The cut-off date for signups will be May 19th.

Guidelines are:

• Participants will be matched randomly, based upon attendance.
  
• Matches will be arranged in a typical double elimination tournament tree, with Bo1 (Best of 1) 1v1 encounter in the Howling Abyss to determine the victor.
  
• Champ-select will be blind.
  
• The first player to hit three kills OR destroys the other's inhibitor moves on to the next round. The loser will be dropped to fight their way out in the loser bracket.
  

Prizes are as follows:

• First Place: "Champion of Maelstrom" as a title, $25 in RP and a fanfiction written of whatever you like... more detail on this will be discussed.
  
• Second Place: $10 in RP
  

Naturally, there are some rules you have to follow, so here they are:

• Do not trash-talk in game.
  
• Do not complain about losing during or after the game.
  
• You can only call for a remake 10 seconds into the game.
  
• Try to be on time for your scheduled match. If there is a dire problem, contact an admin for rescheduling otherwise you will be disqualified.
  
• You must leave the podium when minions spawn.
  
• You are not allowed to suicide intentionally.
  

A chart will be put up with the seeds later in the week and the matches will be broadcasted in the Skype Chat and Maelstrom Chatbox, spectators are welcome. Please add General J Swain and Sailor Venus (NA) to your client if you have not already.
