The Ruined King's eyes flare once more, he steps forwards towards Karthus his great hulking figure spewing more of the black fog form his body. His voice thundered out once more as his form moved through the ever thickening fog. "Perhaps when I was mortal, death was something to fear. Now!" The King's form seems to pulse, he raises an arm, the palm outstretched towards Karthus, "Death serves me! It bows, TO ME!"
A stream of cyan energy coiled around his arm and towards his palm and formed a sphere of energy. The king's voice was quiet as he spoke, yet it seem to rumble through the cathedral "And so will you." The sphere erupted with a brilliant light, a beam of soul infused magic tore through the fog towards Karthus ready to pierce through his form.
------------------------ The Ruined King Condition - Healthy, Heavily Armored, Empowered (Power enhanced upon the isles.)
I am the one who defied death. I am the one he fears. I am the on he can not take. One sweep of my hand and your nations will fall. Come for me you worms. You will all bow before my legions or be broken beneath us as we march upon your cities.
Soul's eyes would have widened in terror if he had any eyes to do that with. "Well, cra--"
He barely moved out of the way before the legionnaire brought his sword down. He nearly tripped, but managed to keep his balance. "C'mon, man. Just 'cause your brains are rotted doesn't mean you have to play like a moron." With that, Soul regained his balance and went to grab the Legion's sword. If he did get a hold of it, he would try and give it a bearhug.

(I would strongly recommend that we use status posts, as the King and I have been doing. It should help us better understand the condition of others.)
Karthus Planted his warscythe in front of him, uttering a brief incantation as he weathered the King's blast of energy.
Bmidu'c bnudaldeuh!
A sphere of inky darkness washed over his form, but could nowhere near maintain itself against the King's blast. It held for a few moments before shattering in a burst of light....As the blast faded, Karthus appeared intact, his bones and robes seemed but singed as the wards around him crackled with intensity. What's more, the orb atop his warscythe glowed with a furious intensity, turning the cyan energy trapped within into a murky cloud of blackness that shrouded most of the warscythe's head. "Death bows to no man; Nor shall his mightiest of servants!"
Cuim limm!
Karthus leveled his scythe at the King, unleashing a torrent of shadowy energy that would cling to his body and sap at his strength, returning it to the spell's caster. ------------------------ Karthus Condition - Fair, Empowered (Temple Grounds) Spells cast this round: Pluto's protection-(self), Soul Cull-(TRK) Active Status Effects - Eternal Foe: 5 posts, Energy charge: 3 spellcasts

Hecarim looked up at Ryuki as she soared above and quickly spat spirit-fire on his halberd and waved it about in front and above him in an attempt to sabotage her vision of him for a counterattack, should she see through this he still had a healthy amount of fire on his halberd and would be willing to fight her head-on, even with the energy Karthus had temporarily gifted her.
------------------------ Hecarim
Status- Irritated but healthy, halberd currently covered in spirit-fire and surrounded by spirit fire, Those who come into contact with it would be burned slowly as it spreads on their body.
The Legionnaire that was engaged with Soul watched as he grabbed onto and clung to its weapon.Frowning it held the sword up to its face with a dark grin.
"You are correct, we do not have to play like a moron.Enjoy the flight."
As it said that the Legionnaire hefted the blade and threw the blade and Soul along with it with great power and velocity towards the wall of the cathedral. It then sprinted towards where it threw the weapon to follow up in case there was anything left. -------- Legion saw the blast that the Deathsinger conjured against its king. The closest host to the king would jump in the way to intercept the blast, the glow disappearing from its eyes as Legion withdrew from the shell at the last moment to prevent damaging itself. The remaining four took defensive positions around the king, all of them gazing at Karthus.
"You shall not touch our king while we guard him" --------------- Legion's Condition Fair=5 hosts remain Hosts are slightly empowered due to proximity to the Legion Core
"We are the King's Legion. Fear us, for we are many. Join us, for you will die. There is no sweeter mercy we can grant than your release from the mortal coil."
As Hecarim spun his halberd around to interfere with her vision, the naginata - blade first, would come crashing down upon it with a shrilling sound echoing outward from the impact. Sparks and spirit flame splash around violently from the strike, forcing Ryuki to withdraw back and prepare for the next move. Burning-gold eyes harden upon Hecarim with a bestial hunger growing behind her stone cold visage.
--------------------------------------------- Ryuki's Health - Good Very light scalding from the spirit flame. Karthus buff active.
Soul flew through the air, hitting the side of the cathedral with a loud crack. As he fell to the floor, though, after a couple of seconds, he stood right up, clutching his head in slight confusion. "Hey, what's-your-name; ever heard of accelerated corrosion?"
Part of his armor had clung to the legionnaire's blade, and where it was touching, it was likely rusting the blade straight through. Soul dusted himself off. "Research. Pretty important, y'know." He took his daggers and ran for Legion, aiming to stab it wherever the blade would find purchase.
Soul Status: Slightly dazed, missing his right gauntlet, but relatively unharmed. Buffed by Karthus.

The Ruined King's eyes remained locked upon Karthus as he fired the Soul Cull at the King. Not so much as a flinch as Legion threw a host in the way to protect him from the beam, The King simply growled, "You will run. You will hide. Or you will bow."
The gripped his sword tighter, the black fog seemed to be drawn to the blade's edge as he drew his arm back, coating it in a swirling black smoke like aura obscuring it's shape entirely. A sickening clicking, cracking sound filled the air as the teeth upon the blade began to gnash together.
With a deep grunting sound, the king swung the sword hard and fast on a diagonal arc down wards from left to right, rapidly sending a black wave of dark magic towards Karthus, The king's arm rising to do the same motion again from right to left, and one more from left to right. Each slashing motion sending a powerful slicing wave of magic tearing through the air towards Karthus as the king himself continued to move toward Karthus.

Karthus threw up another shadowy barrier - Bmidu'c Bnudaldeuh! - as he attempted to dodge the King's slashing attacks. The first slash he dodged with ease. The second and third, however, were more difficult to avoid; The second slash connected with Karthus' shield, shearing off a portion of the bubble and weakening it greatly, while the third hit the shell straight on, cleaving through it and clipping Karthus in the shoulder. Karthus was thrown backwards by the force of the blow, followed by a misty trail of what was likely to be powdered bone. Indeed, Karthus' damaged robes revealed a fractured shoulder and upper arm on his free hand, being held together a the moment only by Karthus' own magic which bound him to this world. Karthus glanced down at the wound, then glared back at the Ruined King, his golden eyes flaring in anger.
"Your rule was destined to end years ago; Your life, stolen from those who trusted you. Who believed in you. Who thought you a just ruler. To do such a thing to your own citizens, simply to preserve yourself, proves you have no right to rule, in life or in undeath. I shall reap whatever fragment of your soul remains and send you to the death you justly deserve."
Karthus leveled his warscythe at the King, the Eye of Shadows emitting a paradoxical dark glow as Karthus encanted another spell.
Tecnibd Ihtayt!
Four tendrils of dark magic lanced out from Karthus' warscythe and sought to impale themselves upon the King's forces, one seeking out Hecarim, two seeking out Legion's minions, and the final tendril streaking towards the King himself. The tendrils would then sap at the very binding essence of the affected undead, returning this power to Karthus in the form of a healing surge of negative energy.

As Ryuki clashed with Hecarims halberd he too was sent back a short distance with his hooves scraping against the floor of the cathedral. He would have to think of another way to approach his target, either overpowering her immediately or waiting until she let her guard down and he struck her down. He prepared for her next move when he was suddenly struck by a tendril of energy by Karthus that immediately put the centaur on his knees, draining his energy and leaving him defenseless for the moment.
"You think this will stop me? I will not be kept down by this..." The centaur growled at Ryuki as he struggled to keep his halberd held in his hands, the effects of the tendril clearly showing.
------------------------ Hecarim
Status- Weakening. Losing strength rapidly due to Karthus's tendrils, attempting to conjure a Spirit of the Dread to sustain himself.
Ryuki's eyes flared with anger when her battle was interfered with. She'd shoot a deadly look towards Karthus, before snapping the bottom of her naginata against the floor and -
Waited.
"We will continue this when you are able." She said in a chilled tone to Hecarim. Even in death, the Dragoon had a strong sense of honor. She would not fight him while he is weakened by another. Had she done this to him, it would have been taken full advantage of. A buff is one thing, but to weaken her opponent to such a degree was completely unacceptable.
----------------
Status - Good. Scalding from flames healing slowly.
-Soul- The daggers may of been a problem to those that were still living, but the Legionnaire didn't care if it had a few every holes added. The lose of the sword was inconsequential, for the Legionnaire brought up its hand and aimed to bring it down with considerable force on top of Soul's head. The Others As Karthus sent his spell out, the Legionnaires brought up their weapons to defend against the spell the best they could. The other two advanced further in, looking to either engage with Karthus or to defend the king.
Legion Health-Moderate 5 Legionnaires-2 weakened-1 weaponless with dagger wounds. Strengthened by proximity to the Core
"We are the King's Legion. Fear us, for we are many. Join us, for you will die. There is no sweeter mercy we can grant than your release from the mortal coil."
Soul was at first glad that his daggers found purchase. Then he realized that Legion didn't care. Soul was too close and too locked in to dodge the fist, and it came down hard on his head, denting his helmet rather well and sending him reeling backwards. "Ow, ow ow ow..." He clutched his head for a moment, but then remembered; he was undead now. Pain didn't mean anything. He shook off his daze and got up, a smile detectable in his soul flames. "Oi, that was a doozy." He took one of his daggers and twirled it, nearly dropping it before catching it midair. "You really wanna finish this, don't you?"
With that, he took his dagger and tried to stab Legion in the face. Regardless of how undead you were, that always did something on some level, right? If that failed (which it likely would) he would follow up with his other dagger.
Status: Health is fine, core in good condition, but helmet is dented and his right gauntlet is still on the ground. Buffed by Karthus still.

The King simply watched as the tendrils spewed forth, the king growled beneath his helm as the tendril snaked toward him. He brings his sword back, he had only used three of the four charges of his last spell. Karthus was a fool, if he expected to bring the king down with nothing but tricks like this then the fight wouldn't last long at all.
With a powerful swing the king cut a diagonal arc into the air, the slicing black energy tore through the air and sliced into the tendril that was moving towards him, it would slice into the tendril disrupting the flow of magic and continue tearing its way through moving towards Karthus rapidly.
The black smoky aura from the blade disappeared with the last swing, the king continued his advance upon Karthus, "Perhaps you should learn your history, lich. My kingdom was taken, because death could not take me. It was not payment. It was petty vengeance, a child throwing a tantrum because it could not have what it wanted. I should have ordered this place torn down thousands of years ago."
The Ruined King's left fist ignited with blue spirit fire, it immediately snakes up his arm, surrounding it an a raging cyan inferno of fire. His eyes train upon Karthus as he whispers an incantation, what sounds to be a high whistle splits through the air, soon turning into screams of agony. The King's form is soon engulfed entirely by the cyan fire.

Karthus flew up and to the left, just barely dodging the King's final slash. This was going on far too long. The king seemed to be toying with him....Unless the King decided to destroy the temple itself, then this stalemate seemed as if it could go on indefinitely.
"Be silent!" Karthus exclaimed, the yellow flare in his eyes beginning to be tainted by streaks of blackness. "May death take you, as he should have long ago!" Karthus held his free hand out towards the Ruined King, as his staff was still sapping the rejuvenating life energy from Hecarim and the Legion clones, and encanted another spell.
Knaydan Pmycd Lmayja!
Karthus' hand crackled with orange energy as he pressed his palm forward, unleashing a blast of necromantic magic which rocketed towards the king. The blast was a tricksy little spell that would destroy simple undead outright as it snuffed what little life was bound to their corpses. Although the spell would not outright kill anything with a soul of it's own, the spell would still deal immense damage to any other undead that would be hit.
