She looked at the cube's big rune, "Blitzcrank... I may have heard that name before, not sure." She turned around and pulled Jay in for a kiss, "I brought some wine with me and some blood if you want another taste." she said teasingly. She knew he had tasted blood from their supply, he knew she knew, it had been a while since that happened though. She always wondered what his blood tasted like, not that she'd bite him without him being okay with it.

With Rose
Jay shrugged, going over to his desk to find some books while Rose played with the Gauntlet. "Oh, I didn't so much find it. The League took some interest in my study of magical voids, and sponsored me with a few runes and some materials to get me started. Mostly boring bureaucratic stuff from there. Damn, I'm still scarred; can't look at paperwork without flinching." He was toning down the true excitement, though; while what he said was true, the building process had often been explosive.
When she made a comment on burning down his house, Jay turned around, books stacked until they covered his face. "Ha! You don't want to burn down my house? I must've said something right, then." He staggered forwards, leaning down to put the books on the floor nearby Rose and leaning on them.
With Marcy
Jay kissed Marcy quickly, looking down at the bottle. "Oh, some wine. Good. Maybe some hot chocolate, first? It's a bit chilly tonight." When Marcy mentioned the blood, though, he thought for a moment. "Another taste...? Gosh, thanks for the offer. Maybe diluted a bit? I bet you it'd really go great with chocolate." He then jogged off into his kitchen, coming out a couple minutes later with two steaming cups of hot chocolate. "Cheers."

Sometimes, when you've been stuck alone for long enough, you just have to break out into reality, with no regard for what position it may put you in. It is better to try and fail than to never try.
She smiled when he went into the kitchen. She took the time to look around his work area, she noticed a gauntlet in a glass cover, she looked at it from where she stood.
When he came back in she noticed the two cups, she held out her hand and took the cup, "Thanks, I haven't had hot chocolate in like forever." She said and took a sip, burning her tongue slightly at it. "Ouch, hot-hot-hot."

"Oh, really-? Fascinating," Rose replies, still smiling at the new control she holds. "But yeah, I- I'm just glad I don't work a desk job." It's certainly not a lie- she doesn't.
"At any rate, burning down an entire building... even with this, I doubt I have the mana for that." With that, she seems a little awkward, for the first time in their brief interaction. ...what now? Her eyes settle on the books, and she raises an eyebrow. "Light reading?" she asks, with a gesture.

With Rose
Jay nodded succinctly. "Yep. You could call it that. I just grabbed anything that could remotely be considered educational." He took one of the thicker tomes, giving it an odd look. "Although...I doubt you would want to learn 'One Thousand and Six Ways to Carve Runes.'" He tossed the book back on the table, doing the same process with most of the books until he only had three, relatively manageable, books before him. "I think this is all I have on Pyromancy. Unless you want to become an herbologist."
With Marcy
Jay chuckled slightly as Marcy burnt herself, not paying attention for long enough that he followed suit. "Ooooow..." He patted his tongue, panting in pain. "That IS hot." He then noticed she was looking at the Gauntlet. "Hey, Marcy. Find my gauntlet?" He then reached up to pull it out of its case, slipping it on. Holding it up as to show it off, he smiled. "Made it myself."

She giggled at his misfortune even though she had burned her tongue a few seconds earlier. She looked at the Gauntlet as he put it on, "What does it do or rather, does it do anything?" she asked and took a small sip of her drink, making sure not to burn her tongue.

Sonder laughs, and shakes her head, letting the fire in her hand flicker out. "Nah- regardless of my name, around which many such jokes have been made, I don't have too much interest in plants. But- thank you for these." She grins, pleased, and picks up one of them, flipping through a few pages. "This is quite good..." Her expression shifts from bookish joy to concentration as she reads through, absorbing some of the ideas before looking up at him.
"Ah- may I take these with me?" Opening the flap of her bag, she makes as though to set the book in it, waiting on permission.
((Sorry about the delay, was away from the internet yesterday.))

((Ah, no problem, Rose. Happens to the best of us.))
Jay waved it off. "Sure, haven't had to read those in...a while, now." He gave her a smile. "I really don't have much else here outside of that...want a cup of hot chocolate? And when you're done with it," he said, gesturing to the Gauntlet as he made his way into the kitchen, "just put it in its case. I shouldn't be too long."
After a couple of minutes, he would come back out with two cups of hot chocolate, handing one to Rose. "There. House specialty. AND I know what it is. Bonus." He sipped his own quietly.
With Marcy
Jay shook his head. "It's really important to me, but it doesn't hold much bearing for anyone else. It lets me cast magic. Really complicated, emotionally degrading backstory behind that. The kind you're likely not interested in." He didn't break his normal grin while he said that, summoning a small fireball above his palm as he spoke.
Sometimes, when you've been stuck alone for long enough, you just have to break out into reality, with no regard for what position it may put you in. It is better to try and fail than to never try.
She looked at the fireball he summoned then into his eyes, "No tell me, I want to know more about you. After all, you know my story." she said and put away her cup, she then pulled him closer with her now free hand. She looked into his eyes, "Unless you don't want to."
Jay waved it off. "Sure, haven't had to read those in...a while, now." He gave her a smile. "I really don't have much else here outside of that...want a cup of hot chocolate? "Ah- yes please, that sounds lovely." Rose nods, and takes off the Gauntlet just as gently as she'd put it on, setting it with perhaps undue delicacy into its case. She sits on one of the available chairs, flicking open the first book and beginning to read, smiling at its contents. The opening pages read just like one of her mother's lessons.
When Jay exits the kitchen, the tome is swiftly tucked away, and she reaches out with both hands to take it. "Mmh- this smells excellent, I can see why it's a specialty~" A grin breaks over her face as she recalls the mystery drink at the party. "Given Draven's, ah, proclivities... probably an extraordinarily strong alcohol?"

Jay almost laughed while he was drinking his own, but managed to stifle it; if there was much worse than squirting milk through your nose, it was squirting hot, chocolate-flavored milk through your nose. He lowered the glass slightly. "Yep. And likely dangerous in large doses, too."
He sat besides her, going back to his chocolate. "So I know you're a practicing mage...nice person, too. Anything else I should know about you?" He looked over at her, not quite able to make eye contact, but not looking away from her at least.
With Marcy
Jay sighed, putting out the fireball quickly. "No, it's really not that bad. Just a bit long." He would lead her to the couch and sit down on it, taking a long breath like he was going to do it all in one go.
"Well, it all started when I was a kid. I was always a bit odd...things tended to break a lot, especially when they ran off magic, when they were around me. It wasn't too big a problem...for long." He sighed. "When I went into school, I got kicked out of every one I went to. I was causing too much damage and money to repair it.
"My parents figured out that it would be cheaper to homeschool me, and I bugged the hell out of 'em. The second I was thirteen, they loaded me up with money and kicked me out of the house." He gave a quick laugh. "After that, I just went around and learned stuff. Figured out that my body is a mana void, and when the Institute took interest in my studies, they sponsored a research project. This." He raised the gauntlet up.
"After that, my life took a turn up; worked for the Institute, 'retired' so I could work for Noxus. Yea. And now I'm here." He smiled. "That's pretty much my life. It's just a big bummer my parents don't love me." He kept up his grin, though, not really affected much by their lack of affection.
Sometimes, when you've been stuck alone for long enough, you just have to break out into reality, with no regard for what position it may put you in. It is better to try and fail than to never try.
She sat down on the couch next to him, she listened to everything he said. Him being kicked out of his home when he was thirteen, she frowned at that. She kept listening to what he had to say. When he had finished talking she had moved right next to him and put her arms around him.
She kissed him lightly on the cheek, she then looked him in his eyes. "I have a suggestion, how about we finish the chocolate then we move to the bedroom. What do you say, love?"
Jay almost laughed while he was drinking his own, but managed to stifle it; if there was much worse than squirting milk through your nose, it was squirting hot, chocolate-flavored milk through your nose. He lowered the glass slightly. "Yep. And likely dangerous in large doses, too."

"Heh- I try to stick to water around Draaaaven." Rose draws out the word in an attempt at further humor, though it's clear this is one of the social areas in which she's slightly lacking. A swell of heat flows out from her at the compliment- 'nice person' isn't one of the ones that she's the most accustomed to.
"I, ah-" The blood in her cheeks gives away that he's flustered her slightly before she can hide it, but she smiles. "I guess it'd be useful for you to know that I'm not monogamous," she admits, "and that I'm in a relationship, but, as the aforementioned would indicate, they won't care if I do stuff with other people.
"I... I like to sing, sometimes, though I'm not excellent at it, and ropework is one of my hobbies- bracers, harnesses, stuff like that." She's unabashedly open as she speaks, occasionally offering an illustrative gesture. Several lines of rope weave up her left arm, and they show as she pulls up her sleeve. "It's a fashion statement, I suppose. What do you think?"

He laughed a bit more visibly this time, the prolonged name breaking his resistance. But at least he wasn't drinking anything, letting his short, simple laugh get out without a hitch. He could feel her heat up a bit, but didn't try to make her more embarassed.
Jay smiled knowingly as she mentioned her lack of monogamy. "Ah, yea. It's not for everyone. I-I...I'm a bit iffy on the subject. It'd certainly be easier to keep track of one girlfriend." He chuckled slightly, but was inwardly nervous. Was she...flirting with him? Probably not.
When she showed him the rope weave, he nodded appreciatively. "I think it looks really cool. All experimental-y, and...uh...weave-y." He wasn't really good with ropework or fashion, so he was at a loss for words. "How do you do it?"
With Marcy
Jay nodded, finishing off his own cup of hot chocolate. "Sure, sounds good to me." He gave her a small smirk and offered to take her own cup in for her. "Just let me put these away, and then I'll show you in."
When she'd give him the cup, he would take them both into the kitchen to rinse them out, coming a moment later to help Marcy up and lead her into the bedroom.

She smiled and handed him the cup. She sat there looking around the room as he went to the kitchen, waiting for him to return.
As he returned to her she stood up and took his hand, waiting for him to lead her into the bedroom. Once inside she'd turn around and kiss him for several seconds before letting go.
