It had been a long day of training for Cordellia and Wu, prompting another visit to the hot springs. It would have been a week or so by this point that Cordellia arrived to the dojo, and had been accepted as a Wuju student. Wu of course, was excited that another was learning and had started her on some training to help control her energy/mana usage better.
As the two arrived to the hot springs, the monkey scoped out the area to make sure the two had the place to themselves before he'd strip down and jump in, letting the hot water soak into his fur quickly. He'd grin as he leaned back, covered only by his fundoshi. Only because he was in the presence of a human! He'd tossed them off as well if he were with his own kind.
Wukong let out a long sigh as he sank down up to his nose, blowing bubbles just beneath the surface with a lazy look. It was a nice end to the evening. Whether Cordellia brought sake this time or not, was up in the air.

Cordellia followed Wukong to the hot springs, her back slung across her shoulders. She wore a simple linen shit and a pair of linen pants, nothing fancy or really decent as she was still somewhat cautious about traveling through Ionia due to her rather messy arrival. She would wait until Wukong got into the springs before stripping down and wrapping a towel around herself before slipping, leaving the pack at the waters edge.
Cordellia untied her hair and submerged herself completely for a few brief moments allowing the warm waters to wash over, causing her muscles to relax. She raised out of the water and smiled at the monkey king, "Come here, I want you to try something."
She would reach over and get the pack, pulling out the bottle of sake and some small cups, pouring one for the Monkey king and handing it to him.
Wukong perked his brow when she beckoned him over having given her plenty of space for herself. He'd stand up, letting the water remain around mid-height to him as he'd wade his way to her side. At the sight of the bottle and two small cups, he'd tilt his head to the side a bit, "What's that?" He questioned, trying to take a sniff as it was poured. It smelled.. strange. But not necessarily bad! His long braid floated in the water behind him, toyed with by his long tail as he waited for an answer.

"It's a drink, alcoholic. Drinks like this help me relax, was wondering if you would like one too." She smiled offering the filled cup toward him, she couldn't see his braid or tail but she was still subtly studying his from, wondering if he would accept the drink or not. She had to admit, she would be somewhat disappointed if he didn't take it. But then again, who was she to force it upon anyone.
Wu sniffed it again as he accepted the tiny shot, and nodded a little, "Okay! Can't be that bad!" Gulping it down in one go. As he did so, he'd blink a couple times, then set the cup down, "Not bad!" Seeming perfectly fine. He didn't mind the taste, either. Kinda sweet, not too bitter. He'd lean back against the wall beside her and yawned a little, sinking down a bit more into the water until it covered up to his chin. The scruff upon his chin floating in the water a bit, "You're doing better! But you're still putting too much into those little shards." He commented in passing, glancing at the glass to see if it might be refilled.

Cordellia smirked as he simply gulped it down, she wondered how much it would take for it to kick in. She would drink hers, knowing how much she could handle, she drank a lot with the soldiers in her unit so had a fairly high tolerance to alcohol. She sunk down slightly so that only her head was above the water, she closed her eyes and offered him the bottle to fill the cup. She let out a quiet sigh, "It's hard... To simply change how I've been doing it for so long."
"No." He said with a light chuckle, "It's not easy. It's only been a week! It'll take much longer to change how you've done things for so long, but you're making progress!" He noted the bottle, and looked at it a moment, before drinking directly from it completely ignoring the fact he had a cup. He'd take a couple gulps, then set it back down for Cordellia whenever she fancied a refill.
"hehe.." He chuckled a little, combing his fingers through the scruffy goatee, "You'll get it eventually."

Cordellia would simply place the cup next to the pack, rising slightly causing her wet silvery white hair to glisten in the light, she reached into the pack and pulled out another bottle, popping out the cork and bringing it to her lips with a grin, "Yeah... At least I'm progressing I suppose." She sunk back down into the water with a relaxed sigh, "So... What was it like? In the forests before you came to Master Yi?"
"It was great!" Wu replied as he watched her, thinking if she was doing alright with this then he could to! Couldn't hurt, right! He took a long drink from the sake, totally oblivious to the delayed effect it often had on people. "The forests were always nice. Always perfect no matter the weather. The sky was even more rich in color then this place." He chuckled softly, thinking back to the nimbus cloud he often rides. "The other monkeys always were so excited about new things! Every year we'd get together the day I was born from the Rune Stone, and celebrate! Lots of fruit, lots of music, and we'd paint our bodies up and dance all night around the fires."

Cordellia smiled softly, her eyes moved up to look at the sky, "It sounds nice, maybe I could explore it some day." She took a deep drink from the bottle and frowned slightly, "Wait, you're king of the monkeys there right? But you spend most your time north of the barrier?" She looked at him slightly confused, most king's stayed with their subjects, she wondered if they minded him being amongst humans for so long.
"I AM the Monkey King!" He announced, waving the sake bottle lightly as he did so with his arms stretched towards the sky. He'd lazily rest his elbows against the edge of the hot spring, bringing the bottle up to his lips to take a long drink again, "They don't mind! I'm the King! And they know having me cooped up instead of out exploring and fighting the MIGHTIEST of all beasts in Runeterra, would be BORING!" Laughing aloud, "It's like leaving a - a.. " Perking his brow slightly, "Like.. huh.. I can't remember what I was going to say! OH WELL!"

Cordellia laughed at his response, "You're certainly happy..." A thought came to mind, how is he going to be if he actually gets drunk off the sake. She smiled to herself, it should be an interesting time, hopefully Master Yi won't mind too much if he finds out.
"Life is happy! Well most the time! But all things you see are at peace, right? The trees, the bugs, the animals. They all live without worry! Humans should too! Always so pent up and broody, or upset over silly things. If you want strength, you have to look towards the future, not worry about how you are in the now! Without the future you've got nothing to look forward to!"
He hiccups a bit, his cheeks tinting a little red as he sinks into the water more, "Hehe this stuff makes me feel funny." Wu takes a long draw of the sake and lowers it, letting out a rather audible burp. He'd just chuckle a bit at it, seeming more amused then he probably should.

Cordellia listened to him, the faint smile on her lips remained in place, he was far wiser than most gave him credit for. If only he were human, she mused to herself, she turned her head to him slightly, "Making you feel funny? Already?" She gave him a mocking frown, "I thought the King would be able to handle more than that."
"I-I can handle more!" The monkey fumbled a bit, taking a much longer chug of the sake now that Cordellia challenged him. He'd pull it from his lips, making a 'pop' sound as he did so. The staff slunk up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder, looking between the sake bottle in his grip and the rather silly Monkey King as he rested his head back with bright green eyes gazing up at the night sky. He'd shrug his shoulder a bit to encourage the staff not to bother him at the moment, seeming content with the way the evening has gone so far. The staff slumps its 'head' a bit and shakes it some, slinking back so not to get wet.
"Tell me about yourself, Cordellia. What motivated you to learn Wuju?" Tilting his head to look at her briefly.
