Jay opened the door. "I'm ready when you are, Marcy. C'mon, let's go." With that, he held the door for Marcy, letting her pass before joining her himself and going for a day on the town.
Marcy walked out through the door, she looked up at the blue sky, luckily for them their house was on the North side of the Skull mountain, so it was covered in it's shadow most of the day.
She opened her umbrella and put it over her head, and looked at Jay as they walked down the street, making sure to block the sun with the umbrella, quite a few looked at her, only to realize who it was, after all, it was only Marcus and her who'd walk with an umbrella out during the middle of the day.
They came to an intersection, she looked down the street to see if she could see a cafe or something like that. She saw a tavern down the road to their left and a cafe up the road to their right, "Okay you get to choose, Tavern or Cafe?"

Jay thought for a moment. "Huh...I say...cafe. It might be nice to have a nice cup of coffee and just relax today. Do they sell scones?" He queried as they began walking towards the cafe, eager to see what one of Marcy's favorite spots was like.

She took his hand and they moved towards the cafe, "I've been there a few times, nice staff and quite good sweets."
As they came up to the cafe they could see a waitress taking orders and was just about to head inside when she saw the two, "Ah, Hello Marcy, who's this?" she asked her, "Hi Linda, this is Jay.", the waitress smiled and nodded, "Well, my shift is almost over, I'll talk to you some other time, bye." she said to Marcy who nodded as a reply and waved. She looked up at Jay, "Shall we go in?"

Jay simply stayed silent as Linda was introduced and left, leading Marcy inside to find a nice seat far out of the sunlight. Sitting down, he looked at Marcy. "So, uh, know Linda well?" He asked, meaning no ill, just curious. "And what'd you recommend?" He looked over at the cafe's baking arrangement, noting with delight the sheer number and variety of scones.

She sat down in front of him, "Well, not really, I've been here a few times and we've spoken almost everytime." She looked at the menu, "Well, I usually get blueberry scone, so that one I can recommend, but I also recommend the cherry one." she put away the menu and looked at Jay with a smile, "Or you could take a cupcake, those are great too."

Jay smiled. "Ah, that's cool. You're quite the popular one, aren't you?" He laughed before listening to her advice on scone choice. "Ooh, cherry scone? Sounds delicious. Want me to place an order?" He said, moving to get up for a moment and pulling out a few valors.

She smiled and blushed a little when he mentioned her popularity, she was a singer after all, she had to get used to the popularity sometime, she nodded and said, "Sure, go ahead."

Jay nodded, making his way to the counter to order a couple of cups of coffee and two scones; one blueberry and the other cherry. Paying with the valors and coming back to Marcy, he smiled, offering her the blueberry scone. "I got myself a cherry one. The coffee should be ready in a couple of minutes." After she'd take the scone, he'd sit down across from her quietly.

She looked at the scone she was offered and took it, she took a small bite from it. When he mentioned the coffee her smile faded a bit, "Coffee? Oh I guess I didn't tell you, I don't drink coffee." She looked down at the scone as she blushed a little, she had never liked coffee, or some kinds of coffee she likes, those who are mixed with some booze and a tint of blood.

Jay blushed. "W-whoops, I'm sorry about that. I just assumed...nevermind. Maybe if I hurry, I can get them to change--"
Before he could finish, the bell rang, his order sitting there calmly. He sighed, blushing deeper. "I-I'll be right back." He went and grabbed the coffee, bringing it back to the table and sipping his own lightly. The other coffee simply sat there and steamed in silence. "Would you prefer it if I got you some tea? I should've asked you what you wanted first."

She looked at the coffee, shame that she hated the taste, "It's my fault, I should have told you." she stood up, "I'll go get some tea." She walked up to the counter and ordered a cup of tea for her and then sat down again at the table, "I shouldn't have assumed that you knew I didn't drink coffee."

Jay shook his head. "No, no, I shouldn't have assumed that you did drink coffee. Here." He pulled out a few more valors from his wallet. "I'll pay you back for the tea. Please don't object." He looked at her with another blush. "My mistake, my solution."

Marcy smiled, "You're too kind, Jay." and gave him a kiss. The bell rang signalling her tea was done, she took the Valors from the table and walked up to the counter again. She returns to the table with a cup of tea in her hands, she sits down and takes a sip from it. "So, how do you like hanging out with a vampire?"

Jay smiled. "Honestly? It's awesome. I mean, sure I've had to become a bit nocturnal, but I always liked the dark." He sipped his coffee, but a bit too fast, prompting him to make a face. "Oow, hot hot hot." He gagged, nearly spitting out the coffee.

Marcy giggled, "Don't drink so fast, we got all day." She blew at her tea before taking a sip, the tea had a subtle taste of Strawberry. She took a bite from the scone she had and washed it down with some tea.
She looked out over the cafe from where they sat, there was only two other couples inside, she had seen another pair outside, there was a watch on the wall not too far from them. She looked at it, it was around 3 PM so the sun was still pretty high up on the sky.
After a few minutes her cup was empty and her scone was gone. The left over cup of coffee still stood there, it was cold now. She looked into his eyes and smiled, "Hey Jay, are you done or do you want to sit here for a while longer?"
