Hello all,
An issue that has been bothering me and a few other role players for quite some time is the fact that many of our number have created "home base" locations for their characters. While the concept of the idea is fine, these locations often become a site for an event or two, then proceed fade away. In the case that a character has created significant interest, threads begin to overlap, making reading and chronicling these events much more difficult.
I am testing a new method for introducing your setting and allowing yourself to be easily found, while preventing confusion as to whether new parties can enter your thread. Below is a list of all the locations in this board. Anyone at any time may look through this list to find someone to roleplay with, and instance the location as their own thread. Simply send a PM to any parties that should be present as you do so. Ethan Ramseyt's Office
Here's where I need your help: Please reply to this post with a name and description of your location, and I will add a link here so that the setting is staged for anyone who might want to visit. Once set up, you can update your post as often as you'd like, and the link will persist. I'm really excited to see how this might work out and expand it to other boards, so please be prompt if you're looking for visitors, and feel free to provide me feedback.

ETHAN RAMSEYT'S OFFICE
Ethan's office is adorned with sky blue walls and a deep, comfy chair, well worn with use. The desk, heavy and oaken, laden heavily with paper and files. Before the table is a much more simplistic pair of chairs for guests and arrayed around the walls are a series of bookcases containing files and books pertaining to the Summoner's Code and the Steward's Code as well. Various other books were interspersed in the files and codices, their topics varies between much of what the literary world had to offer.
Behind the chair and desk there sat a trio of windows, aligned in a row to let the sunlight in every morning, letting it fall perfectly across the immaculate couch that ran along the only free wall in the room. It looked very well kept, even among the rest of the room's contents. It was where he slept when things became too hectic to leave his office, so it stood to reason that he'd keep it in good repair
The entryway possesses a simple golden plate with a name and title:
Ethan Ramseyt Steward Summoner
[/center]
When it wasn't simply left open due to Ethan's presence in the room, it was closed and locked tight, sealed with magic to prevent any particularly sensitive documents kept within from slipping out. Many offices did not bother with such security, but he was a cautious man.

THE SENIOR STEWARD'S OFFICE
Close to the heart of the Institute of War, there is a long hallway with no obvious doors leading anywhere. As you keep walking along, you finally notice the outline of a seemingly-concealed door. A brass plate engraved with the words 'SENIOR STEWARD'S OFFICE' is affixed in the middle of the door, with a small, almost unnoticeable door knob further below it.
Should you decide to turn the door knob and open the door, you would be greeted with the homely atmosphere of a peach-colored room, the walls tastefully adorned with landscape paintings of locations from all over Valoran. In the middle of the spacy room stands a modest but imposing cherry wood desk, covered with stacks of neatly-filed papers, folders and all kinds of writing instruments, from iron styluses and pencils to feathered quills and ink wells.
Standing in front of the desk are two chairs with a small yordle-sized stool between them that could be easily (and was) confused for a footrest by many people. On the left of the desk is a great velvet couch standing between a cupboard with a plate of treats on it and a massive book-case with all kinds of scrolls, books and files. Mounted on the wall directly above the couch is a master-crafted demacian rapier resting in its sheath.
On the right side is a big, wide-opened window where the Senior Steward herself was currently standing, leaning on the windowsill and looking towards the distance. Occasionally, she would let out a four-note whistle that filled the air, but was returned by silence instead.
Tybresa let her head hang dejectedly and stared at the Ionian lilies standing close by the window. Prior to her departure, the flowers were in their bloom, the buds spreading their petals wide open in a show of vividly bright colors. A weak breeze would carry the strong scent within the room, an awfully sweet and intoxicating perfume making your nose crinkle - but now, they seemed to have lost their glamor having been neglected for two months, the leaves droopingly hanging over the floor, the petals looking frail and shriveled, ready to fall at the slightest movement. There used to be small, blue hummingbirds buzzing around the window and flowers, happily chirping as they enjoyed the sweet nectar of the flowers, but now the office was swallowed in silence at their disappearance.
Tybresa whistled one last time, her eyes scanning the distance for any sign of life. To her great dismay, her call was only returned with silence - what could have possibly happened to the birds was a mystery. The Steward shook her head sorrowfully and turned her attention back to her office - there was much work to do, and her time would be better spent restoring the Institute rather than keeping false hope at the return of her companions.
The Senior Steward eased herself in her high-backed, purple-cushioned chair and took the nearest pen and report to work on, trying to distract herself from the sadness at the loss of her pets. Occasionally, Tybresa would glance at the door - as the Senior Steward, there would be often people looking to speak to hear for various things, whether they are reports, questions, issues or simply for conversation. Of course, the recent events have most likely forced the denizens of the Institute to seek council from other sources, having grown accustomed to her absence from the past two months ...
Tybresa let out a sigh and continued to read through the paperwork. She was here now, and she would be waiting and be eager to help should anyone seek her out.

MAOKAI'S GROVE
Deep within the forests near the institute, lived the twisted treant. Maokai had made his home there soon after the Institute had deemed him safe for the general population. Walking through the territory the treant had claimed was eerie, to say the least, with the feeling of being watched by creatures (saplings) every step of the way.
The treant itself was rather hard to find within the forest, only available to those who knew where to look: a clearing set up by Maokai for holding discussions with summoners. Inside the clearing was a small pond which had several large rocks arranged around it in what was clearly intended as a 'sitting area'. Saplings could often be seen running around, playing inside the clearing, or sleeping buried in soil.
Maokai's Grove was a place where violence or insults were not tolerated, and it has been rumored that the treant had thrown somebody from the grove, much like one of his saplings. Nobody can tell if the rumor is true or not, or even who the unlucky summoner was, but it has lowered peoples interest in visiting the oft grumpy treant.

Ethan Ramseyt's Residence
The Steward Second-in-Command's residence is a surprisingly large one, as it is both his primary home and that which is afforded him by being a Steward. Despite its size, it is sparsely decorated and only rarely used. It contains every room that a normal home would, kitchen, master bed/bathroom, living area (converted into a working space), dining room, and guest bed/bathroom.
The walls of the rooms are all painted the same personal choice of sky blue, while the windows are always left with the curtains open to allow natural light into each of them. The only room that appears to have any constant traffic is Ethan's own bedroom, the bed typically unmade and appearing more as though it is simply rolled around upon than actually slept in. It contains Ethan's most used possession, an arcane time-keeping device, nothing more than a base and an orb of magical energy that displays the time and awakens him at a specified time every morning.
The kitchen is the second most used room, though it is kept as spotless as Ethan can humanly manage and is stocked as well as he can keep it. The work space is nothing more than a room full of books, typically documentation and journals on magical theory, though there is a small section for fiction, with a desk, a love seat, a simple coffee table and a significant amount of unused space.
The guest room, slightly smaller than the master bedroom, has been completely unused for the duration of Ethan's stay in the League's issued quarters.
Do not falter from the path of peace, justice and truth will set you free.

Naiyu Persici Lu's Room
It is a well known fact that the lower your Rank as a Summoner is, the lest extravagant and lavish your life is. The living quarters were no exception. Only the bare necessities were placed in their quarters, any further decoration being a purely out-of-pocket expense. Though that fact alone did not hinder Naiyu from trying to make her new found home into a much more comfortable nest to rest herself at day's end.
Opening the door reveals a large single pedestal-style table at the center of the room, Summoner texts and notes spread across it's surface with perhaps a glass of drink nearby and flowers adorning the middle of it. Sometimes the flowers are switched out for a small green fluorite lamp when there is work to be done. Naiyu can more often than not be found seated at this table.
To the right of the door to her room a coat rack stands, ready to receive jackets, robes, hats, umbrellas and the like. Further right of the door is a bookshelf, lined with material on a variety of things from Summoner Codes and Encyclopedias to Cookbooks and small novellas. Nearest the bookshelf was a small lounge couch, perfect for curling up with an interesting read or simply passing the time between assignments.
To the left of the door after entering the room, a petite and well light vanity would sit, various female grooming tools lining it's small surfaces. Further left of the vanity would sit Naiyu's bed, a soft lilac Canopy styled pillow filled embrace, topped with a silky veil draping over it, waiting at the end of her duties each day. Against the wall and to the left of her bed were her chifforobe (a combination of a wardrobe and dresser) and a little queen anne wing chair, for light reading or putting on those rather stubborn shoes and stockings in the mornings.
Being the area in which she lives as a Summoner, there is a small minimalist bathroom and kitchen, though they are hardly used, especially when guests are present, except perhaps the kitchen for making tea or snacks, and a short trip to the bathroom to relieve oneself. Guests are allowed into her room as long as they knock and request permission, as breaking down her room down would be costly to her small Summoner wallet.
