Deep underneath the Institute of War, there exists several chambers where the more... dangerous champions are held: Brand, Cho'Gath, Fiddlesticks, Kog'Maw, Nocturne, Renekton. While they all had their seperate rooms, a single hallway lead to them all.
Nocturne's own chamber was a round room, completely empty except for a single chair. Minus the faint glow of the purple nexus fragment, the room was pitch black. A single summoner stood guard outside the room, just in the case the Nightmare managed to escape.

Victus had been allowed into the Institute for saving a rather foolish summoner. He reward was one request from the League. Victus asked to see the monstrosity known as Nocturne. He was led to the demon's lair by a squad of four summoners. With a few whispered words, the door was opened and Victus marched inside and seated himself in the chair.

The inside of the crystal filled with a smoke darker than the room itself, leaving only the edges to retain their color. A pair of white eyes would then appear, glaring directly at Victus. "So there is finally another soul courageous enough to request my presence?

While it is hard to tell with Victus wearing his Helmet, he doesn't appear fazed.
"People claim you're a living nightmare. I wanted to see for myself. However, if all you do are parlor tricks minor magicians use, then I will remain unimpressed."

Nocturne keeps his gaze on the warrior, the smoke within the nexus fragment rippling. "You dare have the impudence to question my might?" He shifted his gaze over to one of the four summoners in the room. "With... permission, from one of those, I will show you what I am capable of doing. You will know true fear."

"I do not need my blades to injure you, fleshbag."
And with that, the smoke within the crystal would begin billowing as Nocturne invaded Victus' mind. He quickly found something usable, and forced the scene into the man's mind.
He was back at the scene of the Demacian assault.

And with that, the smoke within the crystal would begin billowing as Nocturne invaded Victus' mind. He quickly found something usable, and forced the scene into the man's mind.
He was back at the scene of the Demacian assault.
The scene appeared as it had all those years ago. Victus watched the village celebrate its victory and the spoils of the last raid. Everyone was smiling and dancing. The warriors were bragging and displaying new scars.
Victus was running with his friends near the edge of the village when the warhorns sounded.
There was a full legion. The barbarians were outnumbered, and out gunned, but these are barbarians. Surrender wasn't in their minds. The men grabbed their axes and blades and the women retrieved their bows. The children were dispersing. Victus hid under a pile of furs in his parents hut. He made it there just as the Demacians charged.
There were few screams of pain. The Barbarians relished in their rage, using it as a weapon to fight. Their howls were those of bloodlust. The Demacians were layered in platemail and carried shields, so the stone or iron weapons the Grimcleaver clan had were not doing much to them. Victus heard one familiar voice...his father, howling to get the Demacians away from his hut.
They had been about to burn it and Victus's father lunged at the three distracted Demacians to get them to drop their torches. His father lasted about five seconds before being impaled on a Demacian sword. All this Victus heard clearly from his hiding place. His own barbarian rage made him leap from the hut with the zeal of a mountain lion. He ripped the eye from one Demacian before being fully restrained.
His mother arrived to see her son being tied and her husband dead at their feet. She dropped her bow and lifted a fallen warrior's ax and charged, yelling oaths and curses to make the veteran warriors shake in fear. An archer shot her four times and she fell. Victus howled and squirmed....and the world went black.
Victus's mind bubbled over with grief and fury....NOTHING. He had to live through it again...and he got NOTHING.
"Are you done?" Victus said aloud in his normal voice...no...it was darker than his normal voice.

Nocturne laughed, forcing the memory to play again... with some edits. Each death more gruesome, and seen directly before Victus' eyes. Their faces seemed to plead for his help, only for their lives to end moments later. The deaths of any he would call a friend became particularly brutal, several of them dying before they could cry out for help.
As Victus leapt from his hut, he'd see a sword impaled directly through his father's heart, the man's lifeless eyes coldy looking at his son as he dropped to the ground. The one injury Victus had caused seemed to have never happened, the boy instead being restrained quicker than before. And finally came his mother. As she reached for the axe, Victus' gaze was forced to the archer. Four arrows multiplied to sixteen.
A repeat of his father's death happened, his mother's now dead eyes falling on her son before she fell. And then the darkness came...

Nocturne's eyes glare from within the Nexus fragment, looking at Graves. "I may be imprisoned, but do not believe for a moment that my powers are restrained here. I give you one warning: leave." Nocturne glared at each of the summoners in turn, sending them off running in fear one by one. His eyes then returned to Graves. If the Outlaw did not leave soon, he'd be subjected to the same mental torture the summoners just were.
