Hello people Maelstrom,
For those of you who are not already aware, Maelstrom has a thriving Skype community that continues to grow daily outside of this community. Champions, OCs, and community hopefuls are welcome to join us in our chat. Our largest group is the overarching Official Maelstrom chat, which can produce as many as 3000 messages per day. In addition, we have more focused small discussions for each of the city states, the Void, and the Institute of War that roleplayers with characters in these areas are welcome to join.
To gain access to these chat groups, please add and contact either DearCryophoenix (myself) or princesspwnage (Swain), and we’ll be happy to introduce you to the group.

I’d like to add a few general rules of the skype chat to keep things in order.
- All content in Skype is non-cannon. To canonize material, it must be part of a Maelstrom thread.
- Always mind the other members of chat. If someone is clearly uncomfortable, do your best to alleviate the issue at hand. If they ask for a discussion to end, please move it to a private chat.
- Drama should be avoided. If you have a problem with another member, please bring it to me or one of the board leaders and we can try to resolve the issue together, rather than harboring resentment.
- Do not impersonate other members of the community.
- The chat should remain relatively PG-13.
- Avoid venting in-game negativity in our community chats.
