To whomever this may concern,
At the moment my country is in rather deep political heat. I don't want to go into much details, but my life might be changed significantly if the incoming bill will be issued.

It would be very much appreciated if you could provide some kind of summary. Unfortunately, google's translation function, while quite effective, seems to leave me grasping for a few key points.

Okay, so here's the deal.
The Commission majority in the Committee consider the bill as amnesty for those who committed political rallies. The majority of the political expression of the people has approved the draft amendments in Section 3 (Amnesty Act), which is deliberately intended to overrule the judgment of the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Persons Holding position - various political corruption cases and the present and future cases will remain unresolved and shall be terminated. The conspirators are able to hide and evade all liability and responsibility altogether.
The law that will soon be passed has 10 main points to be reviewed.
1. The Supreme Court's judgment will be overruled in corruption cases.
2. All corruption cases that remains in the Supreme Court, the Attorney General's Commission, or other agencies must end. Defendants in this category will no longer be prosecuted. Future cases will not be brought to justice to punish the guilty.
3. Draft Section 3 contains content that is "promoted" to an even more corrupt state. The conspiracy, both the supporters and also politicians will benefit from this - citizens or non-supporters can be forced to do so. There is no fear of the law, making corruption more severe, up until those losses can be estimated.
4. The situation in Thailand has always been of severe corruption at all levels. Thailand loses budget to corruption with costs estimating to more than 3 billion baht per year - which is a huge amount of money that can be taken to improve the quality of life of the people, strength and competitiveness of the country dramatically.
5. The accused that have been cleared in corruption cases go against the morality and ethics of the social system - causing potential destruction to society. Thai society, especially the younger generation with new values, will be taught that cheating is not a sin. But cheating is not good. Which will result in huge social failure to fix it. If an effort is not taking, corruption may take over Thailand.
6. Directly and severely undermine the accused, since being cut from the opportunity to prove his innocence to the end of justice. Not because the wrong people are punished by law or legal process, because compensation and liability for serious crimes committed against the earth and the whole country is committed in Thailand.
7. Amendments to the draft Article 3 conflict with the explicit intention of the Government announced on 2 July 2013 states that the government of Thailand may not take any responsibility for any damage or injustice caused by this new amendment to the law. Accusations will be overruled.
8. Content of the draft Article 3 conflict and impede the implementation of the Convention of the 'United Nations to Fight Against Corruption' (UNCAC 2003) , which Thailand has implemented into the law on March 1, 2011. The country was the first and only country in the world to enact an amnesty to a case as guilty of corruption after signing ratification. Which makes the country a bad community in the eyes of the international community.
9. Severe impact on investment and economic development. It undermines the confidence of investors in the domestic and international affairs. This will affect both the chain to the Thailand economical society. Especially those with low incomes.
10. Thaksin Shinawatra
Thaksin Shinawatra is a Thai business tycoon turned politician. He founded the populist Thai Rak Thai (TRT) party in 1998 and became Prime Minister of Thailand from 2001 until 2006 when he was overthrown in a military coup. Thaksin has since lived in exile except for a brief visit to Thailand in 2008. He was convicted by the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions of abusing his power to help his wife buy public land at an auction, and was sentenced to two years in jail. Various criminal charges await him if he returns to Thailand. His sister, Yingluck Shinawatra, however, is the current Prime Minister of Thailand.
His charges are: corruption, authoritarianism, treason, conflicts of interest, acting non-diplomatically, and muzzling of the press. Thaksin was accused of tax evasion, lèse majesté (insulting King Bhumibol), and selling assets of Thai companies to international investors. Independent bodies, including Amnesty International, criticized Thaksin's human rights record. Thaksin was also charged for concealing his wealth during his premiership.
So basically, he was the former Prime Minister of Thailand. His crimes will be completely wiped in the eyes of the law if this amendment comes to past. I can't imagine scum like him coming back.
[The Anti-Corruption Society of Thailand reaffirm that the case in all corruption offenses to justice must end- to be fair to all parties and to provide valid norms of justice in society. The suppression of corruption is a serious and substantial reliability, and they invite people who want to see a corruption-free society, Thailand destination support in opposition to the amendment in Section 3 of this draft]
We fight, because we have the power to overcome the corruption of society.
I tried to translate to the best of my ability. I myself am not quite proficient in my own native language...
Nowadays, whenever you turn on the TV and watch some show, there is that one word that pops up - ‘wealth’. ‘Rich’. ‘Fame’. ‘Power’. So, I wonder why everyone thinks and strives for these kind of things. What is the basis of this need? I thought about it, and the conclusion I came to might be a bit stupid, but in my opinion - everyone wants to be safe, to be comfortable, and to have a stable future in which they can depend on. In old age, life would be great, no need to beg for help, and your children or grandchildren can live on to become better men/women of society.
But today, I thought of another important reason. Underneath the conscience of many Thai people - both unaware and aware - that is “Having a lot of money or power will be able to buy and set their own wrongs - or even fix their wrongs into rights.”
The most notable example right now is the Amnesty Bill that has been issued by the government and men from faraway. The only thing it is missing is “goodness”, “justice”, and “righteousness.” The only reason people set these laws is for “fame and wealth, fortune and power.” It’s no different from selling their souls to the devil - no longer do they have to care about the hatred of many, they do not bear shame to their sins, and they even turn their back to what should be most important to them - leaving their family to die while they themselves rise to power in society.
If I were to be able to choose whether I could become rich by selling my soul - I would rather choose the path with which I am given, and only should my life be earned through hard work. No exploitation, no manipulation, I just want to be free and happy.
EDIT: This law will also negate all criminal offences in the past and leave criminals innocent. Life sentence? Free as a bird. Death row? Nope. Law was passed at 4:00 AM today and it is entering its first stage of implementation. In a nutshell, Thailand is starting over again politically and deleting its renowned past of political violence. They want to escape, I can't let that happen.
EDIT 2: Oh god it's being passed to the Senate for evaluation now...

Tomorrow, I'm bringing this issue to my class. I'll do my best to spread the word, try and cause some American anger at it. I urge anyone else who can to do so too.
Good luck, Jayce. I hope we can get this bill not to pass!
Sometimes, when you've been stuck alone for long enough, you just have to break out into reality, with no regard for what position it may put you in. It is better to try and fail than to never try.
