Alias: Aria Breker
Race: Human
Age:29
Occupation: Journalist
Residence: Demacia
Alignment: Lawful Good
Description: A Demacian journalist ready to fight injustice with her pen. Physically, she is a lithe woman, with cropped blond hair, seen almost always wearing blue and gold.
Biography: (Note: Aria Breker is a lore figure from the Journal of Justice, but the details in this biography has been created by me to flesh her out, since she was merely a blank slate prior.) Aria Breker was born on September 17, 11 BLE to a very law-abiding Demacian family. It was clear as she grew that she would be a precocious and dutiful citizen of Demacia, armed with an extremely straightforward way of thinking and an uncompromising sense of justice and lawfulness. After many years spent in the literary institutions of Demacia, Aria courageously stepped into the minefield of journalism, ready to give the world a decidedly Demacian point of view to Valoran. Happily enough, Aria settled into a job at the Journal of Justice. The job took her from Demacia to Piltover to the Institute of War, and the young journalist thought that this job would be the perfect vehicle for her to impart her reports to the general public.
But alas, on May 22, 22 CLE, the Journal of Justice was abruptly shut down due to a conspiracy to fuel a war between Aria's homeland and Noxus. This turn of events completely blindsided Aria. Not only had she lost her job, events in Valoran was just beginning to heat up. Quickly, she was forced to write one last article and she took it to heart, penning a sharp and succinct warning to the citizens of Demacia, urging them to stand against 'the conniving greed of the Institute of War and the endless bloodlust of the Noxian war machine.'
With her suitcase in one hand and a fistful of unfinished articles in the other, Aria resided in Demacia, taking a break from journalism and pondering her next steps. As the years crept by, the journalist found odds jobs reporting petty events, nothing worthy of someone of her caliber. But one day walking back home from the bookstore, the woman stumbled upon a pamphlet fluttering across the stark pavement. On it was an advertisement from her not-so-loved ex-coworker, L.B. Briskes. Aria had laughed, reading the call for journalists for a brand new paper called 'The Deep Ward Weekly'. She tucked the advertisement into her pocket and walked home, still chuckling. This newspaper would need somebody like her to give Valoran a clean and honorable point of view of the events of Runeterra. Despite the slightly deflating detail that her workplace would be situated in the Institute of War, Aria was determined to endure this insult to her pride for the sake of spreading the truth to the denizens of Demacia.
Relationships: L.B. Briskes: Co-worker with a sharp mind and an even sharper tongue. He has an unorthodox way of reporting and verges on unprofessionalism at times, according to Aria. His anti-authority stance also brushes against Aria's own law-abiding stance, which leads to (sometimes) civilized arguments.
The Night Hunter: It has been one of Aria's goals to find the true identity of the Night Hunter. Who is this vigilante and what has he or she have to hide? It would be foolish, of course, to dedicate one's entire career on this quest, but Aria always has her ears open for any whispers about the famous vigilante.
Long Term Objective:
This character has been created to help L.B. Briskes' roleplayer create a newsletter reporting on MS events, in which members of Maelstrom can seek out to catch up on the on goings of the canon. Aria would bring her own style to the news, and a decidedly Demacian flair to the reports. All in all, I hope to have Aria consistently post articles that act as a pseudo-timeline. Character-wise, I hope her extreme patriotism is questioned as she travels the world reporting, helping her become a more unbiased and open-minded journalist.
