Scrod did not know it, but his concerns were not too far detached from his own. He did not want to suffer financially because of this venture, but at the same time he did not dare question someone that could vaporize him at a moment's notice. Nevertheless, he was a merchant, and he prided himself on being one that kept his word. He would fill his end of the bargain no matter what. "I understand your concern. You can trust me as a man of his word that no matter what happens, in the end you will receive your pay, if it comes from what we retrieve from the temple or my own pockets."
Carell thought for a moment on precisely what Leona had said. She had only mentioned that things which should not be damaged or taken would be left be, but did that include everything? It was worth a try to ask, at least. "She did not explicitly say that we could not take anything, perhaps she might be willing to concede us a few items? I would suggest speaking to her about it."

James had kept walking with the party as Razie came up and asked him how he felt. He gave a passing glance to the Techmaturge before looking ahead. "It doesn't sit well with me. But I have faith that this will not end poorly. You can't afford to succumb to fear." But then he sighed, looking down at the ground. "By no means does that mean we won't be feeling it..."
I will meet one someday...and that day will either be the best or worst day of my life.

Scrod listened attentively as Carel spoke. It was a relief to hear that they were on the same page, at least as far as profitability was concerned for this venture of theirs. Satisfied with what he had heard, he nodded and grabbed Carel's hand and shook it. "I'll hold you to that then. In Bilgewater a handshake's more bindin' than a contract at times, don't forget" Scrod informed him with a slight grin before patting him on the shoulder and walking back towards his horse. While upon the beast, he pondered the advice he had been given. Perhaps he would confront Leona on the matter...no he definitely would. Later at least. For now he figured they had been held up long enough for the day and that the group should soon be departing. He made a mental note in his mind to talk to the Solari leader about temple items when they stopped to make camp next.

The man started to seem familiar, Leona thought that she saw him before. At the battle in the Freljord, perhaps. It seemed the most likely option. He seemed to be honest in his intents and Leona appreciated his reassurance that he would respect the temple grounds, but she was not so certain of him being an associate of the Institute of War. They had no business delving into the history of her people without her permission. Then again, the expedition seemed to be a private endeavor, lead by the man she had spoken to earlier. "A pleasure to meet you." A simple yet honest reply. His skills seemed as if they should prove useful, only Leona hoped that cooking would prove to be the more valuable of the ones listed.

Everybody seemed to have flocked over to Leona, once she arrived again, and declared her intentions to join the group.
Orianna stood behind the small crowd of people moving forward to pay their respects, arms crossed on her chest. As usual, she did not feel anything about this, just watching with a cold, unblinking, calculative stare. Though, inside, there was a small shred of something that the automaton was not able to identify.
I wasn't greeted this way when I joined the party. Am I not the better champion?
For the automaton everything in the world revolved around the League. Hell, the League was her world. Outside of it she was just a strange robot creature. That fact, however, Orianna never really bothered to notice. However, these thoughts made her stray away from the group, a bit, finding a solitary spot at the end of the column. The Ball followed its mistress silently, only letting out a questioningly-sounding chirp once they were there. The mechanical lady urged it closer, before wrapping her arms around it.
- It's alright, Ball. We'll get to kill things. Soon.
The group continued on their journey once more, their road ahead cleared of the Rakkor phalanx and inviting them to continue onward, to wherever it might lead. The party continued much as before, only now with a woman clad in golden armor in their midst. Carell felt pleased, the group had overcome their first taste of adversity, and now they had yet another champion among their ranks. He felt impetuous, almost, as if there were no force they could possibly encounter that might pose any threat to him.
Carell continued to ignore the doubt brewing in the back of his mind. Of course, Leona had come for the temple's preservation alone, as if she were their parental supervision, but what if there was something about the temple that none of them knew? And time and time again, Carell never asked himself the one most important question of all.
Why had someone tried to destroy the map?
