Straight to the point. The man certainly had a mindset of a soldier. She appreciated others not wasting time in their speech. I assume you are not here on official business?" It might have been an intrustive question, but she had the right to know. The temple, although abandoned, still belonged to the Solari, and no other city state had the right to anything there but them. She doubted Demacia would have the audacity to embark for a Solari temple without their approval, but she needed to be sure. Hopefully the man would give an honest reply.

James shook his head. "No, I'm here on my own business. The Solari...fascinate me, I suppose you could say." He paused a moment. "I was thinking that since you visited Demacia, now would be a good time to learn more about your culture." He smiled a bit. "Any specific reason you can give me why you're here?"

Leona's suspicions were confirmed. There seemed to be no foul play at work. The man was motivated by his own curiosity. Leona imagined that the extra gold he was being paid did not exactly push him away, either. As for her purpose there? She was duty bound to protect the temple. "I am here to ensure that nothing is damaged or taken from the temple that should not be." One might have asked if he did not hear her earlier, but to Leona, it was a waste of time, she knew the answer would be no and all she would have done is waste time and breath.

James nodded in understanding briefly. "I will make sure to ask you before I touch anything that seems important." He took out his sketchbook and opened it up, returning to a sketch of Leona's golden armor that he'd been working on. "Of course I hope you don't mind me drawing everything regardless."

Drawing seemed harmless enough, but Leona knew of many back home who would rather not disclose details of certain objects and places, and for good reason. She could not, of course, monitor the man's every glance, but she could at least dissuade him from certain actions. "I cannot let you draw everything. There are things which are to be kept secret."

James leveled his pencil at her briefly and nodded. "Understood ma'am. Privacy needs to be maintained at least partially. You can expect my full cooperation." With a small smile, he twirled his pencil around again. "Let's just hope that I don't fall too far behind."
I will meet one someday...and that day will either be the best or worst day of my life.

Orianna's comment was amusing. Seeking Thresh, the Chain Warden, to free Him of His chains.
Xerath pondered the idea a moment. The collector of souls. Thresh severed souls from their bodies, what if he could sever Xerath from the sarcophagus? It must be a similar binding to the mortal coil.
Though it would be extremely dangerous, because it's also a similar binding to how Xerath had bound Himself to Magic. If Xerath's ascension was not a 100% transformation, He could be vulnerable to having His soul severed from Magic.
"The Chain Warden has no reason to assist Me, and the wise do not go seeking Thresh's lantern."
Xerath stored away the idea, though, in case His own plans should fail.

Full cooperation was promised, but Leona did not know if it would be given when the time came. She was always a bit skeptical of the intentions of those not of Rakkor blood, but she could not help it. It was something she was raised with. The group would obviously need monitoring, and the man's habit of drawing was another thing she would need to oversee. She merely nodded in reply to him.
Ron sighed in relief. "Oh... I see... A-alright then I guess..." He said, going over the report fully. "Other than that then you're fine... I don't have a lot more to add except that I can't use some of my medicine on you due to your high amount of magic. I just hope you have some sort of relief of your own." He put down the report and took out a glass and a small bottle, pouring some of the contents in the glass. "Please call the next one."

- I see.
Orianna's reply to Xerath's reasons as to why it would be a bad idea to seek Thresh's help was short and neutral. She offered an idea, but it was up to the Magus whether or not he wanted to follow on it. Her mind was now focused on the problem of getting his chains off - it was a much more fun thing to deal with than reading the poorly-written romance book. She came up with some more ideas.
- Maybe Ryze the Thornmage can help you then. He has read many books! And you can teach him about the arcane in return. I can also try breaking them with my hands. - Orianna had offered, maybe a bit overconfident in strength of her metallic arms. The Ball made an appearance too - if hovered around for a little while, before approaching the automaton lady and landed in her lap. She wrapped her arms around it affectionately, though the eyes were still focused on the Magus.
- Why did you join the expedition, Xerath? Did they promise you things to kill, too?
She sounded somewhat disappointed. Orianna had joined, hoping to get some action - action she was seldom given now thanks to the crisis. But so far the journey proved ... fruitless.

James looked up as Tekun called for the next person, standing and turning to Leona with a brief bow again. "Sorry, we'll talk later." Soon he was making his way to the curtain with Ron. "I'll be next. What's your procedure going to be?" He asked, sitting down on the bed and not undressing just yet.

Ron replaced some new bed sheets, didn't want to put so much magic on someone else. When James got in, Ron greeted him with a smile. "Yes... Ummm... Okay... Start by removing any piece of armor and strip to your undergarments please." He said, taking out two syringes this time. One that includes a shot and one that should contain James's blood.

James nodded, undoing his Cuirass quietly and putting it aside, starting to undress until he was down to his undergarments. His body was toned and muscular, but not as some would say 'ripped,' more athletic to put a label on it. He stretched a bit, sitting down on the table carefully. "There. Carry on."

Xerath liked the idea of working with Ryze on studying the Arcane. What He had heard of the mage was that he was a wandering student, seeking all knowledge of magic he could find; A kindred soul for the Magus Ascendant. But Ryze was more the jack of all trades of magic, while Xerath was an expert in His field of study.
"Ryze may know of something that could help, if I could find him. But no, I've tested extreme force, pressure, heat, cold corrosion, erosion, and atmospheres. There is no mundane method of removal, though that is not unexpected. The mages of Shurima were no fools when it came to Magic. They were the leaders of runic magic."
