The Captain chuckled heartily as she took note of John's request. Her strong palm laid down gently on his shoulder as her emerald eyes threw themselves into his. She patted his shoulder lightly and nodded approvingly.
"Do not worry about the maps, Tilly will be holding them so you shall ask her.."
Suddenly, a lightning, a spark, a flash sparkled out in Irelia's mind. She had something to finish and time pressed as she realized that time started to run across the clock. No time to waste, she must press on and go out. She slipped in John's pocket a knife. A very distinctive Ionian knife, who's razor edge was made out of dark steel, that seemed to be really hard to find around. It was rather heavy, but the blade was as light as a feather yet it would always deal a fatal wound to the unfortunate who'll receive the end of it. A dragon rested on the edge of the knife, breathing out what seemed to be a mix of ice and fire. Two letters covered his body, printed down with a grey silver font. 'M.L.'.
Irelia glanced at John one last time as she headed out of the office. As much as she seemed in a hurry, her steps were calm, cold and heavy. Her expression remained neutral, void from any emotion, but beneath the shade of those emerald eyes hid a glimmer of restlessness and apprehension. Clung clung clung, rang the armor she wore as the screeching melody faded away in the hallways the further Irelia moved along.
John grinned widely as he was patted. He nodded in return and responded.
"Right, I'll make sure to do just that."
He tilted his head as he continued to watch her. It seemed obvious she was late for something. His eyes darted to his pocket as a knife was slipped inside. His eyes would move back to her as he watched her leave the office. Definitely in a hurry for something. Guess he should head out too. He reached into his pocket and pulled the knife out, inspecting it closely. It seemed different from anything he'd seen, very ornate. He looked at the blade and saw the lettering... M.L. ... What's the M.L. mean? He lowered the knife and stepped out of the office, looking around but Irelia was long gone. M...L... He would definitely have to ask when he gets the chance. Of course the other question was why she gave him the knife, not that he minded. It even seemed like it would be very useful in the near future. He pocketed the knife for now and glanced around. Erica slowly stood as he walked out and smiled.
"What's going on?"
An innocent question from an innocent child. Even though she did carry a slight look of worry. John smiled and patted her lightly on the head.
"I'll be going away for a little pretty soon. But don't worry.. I'll be back soon okay?"
He knelt down and spread his arms wide. She eagerly jumped into him and hugged him.
"Stay safe..."
Two words... They said a lot though. He smirked and lifted her up onto his shoulders.
"Always."
And with that he headed off towards wherever he was needed. His mind working through the many things that could happen. The worst of course being captured. He's heard stories and none of them were pleasant. But he couldn't let that stop him. He had to treat these Noxians just like the criminals he busted back in Piltover, except of course better armed and trained. But with some finesse he was sure he'd be in and out just fine.
Markus didn't have time to waste as he leaped off of the ship that was to be taking him to Piltover for his meeting with Jayce, something was wrong with Soraka and she needed his help. With all the times she had healed him after breaking almost every bone in his body at least once he felt he HAD to do this, but he wouldn't do it alone. Somehow managing to put on his jacket as he made his way to the Placidium to the only person he could go to for help in a situation as dire as this: Irelia.
"The captain has to be able to help... she just has to!" He yelled to himself as he raced to the grand capital, pain surging in his head with every step he took. This wasn't good, the connection he and Soraka had through the rings told him she was in pain. At the pace he was running it would take him nearly an hour to reach the Placidium and that just wouldn't do, he stepped up the pace with a speed surge making him move almost double his current speed and reaching his destination within minutes.
Not wasting any time he shrugged off the effects off the speed surge for the moment and made his way into the training court, not bothering to knock with the private session in progress with such an emergency. And because when your body is sped up in every way possible, including thought you sometimes forget to knock. Giving a quick salute to the captain he started to talk in a serious and quick tone of voice while visibly sweating.
"Captain! There's an emergency, Soraka's been kidnapped by Shaco and there's not much time before he makes off with her to who-knows where! We need to get her away from him NOW."
Hopefully the captain wouldn't waste much time with questions and just follow him, his mind speeding up and already thinking of over a dozen rescue attempts while he awaited the captains response

March 17th, 23 CLE... 9:45 PM
Silence, none of the elements could be heard in the dark shallow and cold room. The dead air was heavy, omnipresent... not a fly or a breath could be heard, not even the steps of the little ant that was crossing the room from one side to the other could be perceived. But somewhere in this dark room surrounded by four wooden walls, were four blades that levitated in the darkness, moving across the room silently as the Captain remained on the floor, commanding every move of her blades swiftly and calmly with her peaceful spirit.
You would ask, what is she doing there? Sitting in the depth of darkness? Irelia was simply working on her bonds with the sword, enhancing the mental link she has already established with it. Every day, she would talk to it, she'd get to know more about her father who wielded the steel long time before she was born. It was the only way she could learn more about him and get to know him even after his death. Suddenly, the silence was ruptured. Noises echoed in the dark room and grew stronger with every tick of time that went by. What were they? And why did they disrupt the peaceful moment of the Captain?
Bam! Crack! The door slammed against the wall as it was suddenly opened, letting the burning light of the pale moon penetrate the room and illuminate the captain. Her eyes were twitching, the anger swarmed her thoughts as the bond she had established with her sword has been disrupted by the sudden interference. Irelia sighed and stood up silently, listening closely to the agitated and familiar voice she had easily recognized that was speaking to her. That tone... Markus was not joking and it definitely seemed serious. Her emerald eyes caught up to Markus' eyes as she looked over her shoulder, finally speaking with a grave tone as the young man's words ran out.
"If you are sure about this, then there is no time to waste my dear Markus, we must head to her hut and see what is going on."
Markus nodded quickly and was about to make his way to her hut with another speed surge when he suddenly remembered Irelia wasn't as fast as he was, she wouldn't be able to get to the hut in time. He'd have to go on ahead and look for clues as to where Shaco had taken her. /i]
"I'll go on ahead, it's quite a distance to her hut. I'll be waiting for you there captain but please hurry."
With that Markus would make his way to Soraka's hut to gather more information on the situation.

The Captain watched the man as he dashed away from the room, leaving the door wide open. She sighed before commanding her blades to forge back together. She was terribly worried about Soraka, and by the look she caught on Markus' face, the situation was indeed severe. Her heart squirmed, a grimace briefly crossed her face as she thought of all the devilish tricks Shaco could pull out on the defenseless Starchild.
Suddenly, a wave of anger swarmed her spirit, setting up a burning hatred in her heart. The blades started to speak to her, whispering within the depth of her soul. They were somehow trying to calm the captain down before she allowed her rage to burst out. Irelia quickly regained her composure and inhaled sharply once more before leaving the room. Her steps stomped the cold ground, releasing a loud growl whenever her steel boots collided against it before fading away under the sheen of the pale moon.
Narra liked the place, it was calm and harmonic though she focused more on the climb she had to take. Not understanding why building the Placidium on the top of a hill and with too many stairs, Narra advanced up the stairs, confident in her wish. She wanted to be stronger she wanted to avenge her family and to protect those who could not protect themselves.
She reached the top of the stairs and sighed, waiting for Sara to finish her climb. The tiger was much more cumbersome and had harder time to rise up the stairs but she eventually reached the top and growled a complain. Narra smiled, pat Sara and moved on to the Placidium. Various Ionians nearby were terrified of Sara, they shied away and moved back. Sara felt a bit of pride in her scaring the supposedly calm and spiritual humans.
John was walking through the hallways, his coat trailing behind him at his ankles when he saw her. His head slowly tilted as he glanced at the tiger beside her. Was that... No his eyes weren't fooling him... That was a tiger. Might as well see what the girl needs though. He continued, stopping in-front of her. His arm raised up and he waved at her in a friendly manner, a smirk forming as he asked.
Narra watched the young man and chuckled to herself. People actually came to greet her which never really happened before. She sighed and checked that her bow and her sword were on her back as she always did and sighed when she remembered that she left her precious staff unprotected in the inn she was staying at.
Narra answered in a polite enough tone, unable to hide her excitement. "Why, I'm simply looking to meet the renown captain of the guards of Ionia, Irelia. Is that a problem... Sir?"
Narra smiled at him and pat Sara slightly since she growled at the man with suspicion. Narra went to shake John's hand. "My name is Narra, Narra Pasium. What's your name?"

John grinned wide as she answered. It seemed she wanted to see Irelia, but he wasn't sure why. Didn't matter though, as far as he knew she'll be out in the training court. He replied in a calm tone.
"She's out in the training court, I can take you there if you want?"
He smiled back and his arm came out, his hand grasping hers and firmly shaking it.
"I'm John Cole, training under the Captain heh."
He realized his hood was still up and pulled it down, not wanting to look creepy or anything. His eyes went from Narra to Sara and back again. He didn't expect anything terrible to happen but it was still different to see a tiger walking around. His demeanor stayed calm though as he waited again for her answer.
Narra smiled back as John took off his cowl. She was really enjoying Ionia ever since she arrived and she liked it more than staying in the wilds. She smiled and answered in a calm tone.
"Pleasure to meet you John. And yes, I'd love if you will take me to Irelia. By the way, this is my friend, Sara. On her sits Savion my actual pet." Narra giggled and offered John her hand.
"Nice to meet you too. Right righ'. I'll lead the way... Oh and nice to meet you too."
John turned the other way in a swift movement and took her hand. He walked beside her, taking through the hallways. His mind wandering to his first time, boy that was fun. Getting lost and finally finding the training court. Who know the Captain would have beat him too. Maybe she had a secret hallway she used. Wouldn't be to crazy. If he had a place like this he'd put secret hallways everywhere. Maybe even one with a gigantic bookcase that slides open when you pull a candle down. Just like in those comics. He chewed on his tongue idly as he reached the training court door and slid it open.
"And this is the training court. She should be somewhere around here. My guess is either meditating or slicing something up."
To that end he looked around trying to spot the Captain, not that she'd be hard to find. She stood out among the rest. Namely the blades but her unique hair color added to it, and that... He never asked what that was on her back. A decorum of some kind? He'd have to find out at one point.

The sun tapped over the Placidium with its burning streams of light, lighting up everything that was in its path. None of the shadows could hide from the hellish rays of the star. The heat created visual illusions of waves coming out from the burning ground of the training court, just like in the blazing desert. There was no sound in the court, it was crawling in silence before suddenly; a loud shout came out of nowhere, bouncing up against the walls of the training court as it faded away a few seconds later in the blazed atmosphere.
"Alright Jarold, you passed the test, but be sure to work on your breath and most importantly, focus on your mind and let your body guide you through the obstacles. Now... Haiden! You are up next!"
Irelia was standing still next to an obstacle course, pen and papers in her hands as she wrote down the previous result of one of her guards. The Captain was highly severe when she had to test her guards and her expectations were really high. She wanted to have the best men in all Ionia and even probably in all Valoran, even though it means she had to work hardly to help them reach the top of the challenge.
The mighty Captain gave the departure signal to her guard that had begun sprinting through the obstacle course, evading all traps, jumping over the fences and the walls, swiftly slicing down every target that popped out in his way. At the end, he was covered in sweat, as if he just recently took a shower. His muscles were exhausted, and his skin was boiling under the sun. The heat surely made this examination hard for them, but Irelia chose this day specifically because of the weather. She wanted to train them under the most harsh conditions that could strike Ionia.
"Excellent, much better than last month, we are making progress."
John frowned as he realized his prediction was wrong on BOTH accounts. Well shit. A light shrug and he went back to his usual demeanor.
"There she is.."
He walked alongside Narra, his eyes squinting from the bright sun. He was of course glad to not be wearing his black outfit today. Of course on that note, he opted for the woodland version of his outfit. Least he wouldn't metaphorically light on fire. The Captain picked a great day to have the guards running around, poor bastards. He passed around the guards and stopped next to her, watching the next person going through the obstacle course, opting to remain silent and wait for her to acknowledge him first. His hand would also release his light grip of Narra's and rest at his side. He gripped at his coat and loosened it a bit, his gear shifting and jingling from the action. Some of his gear was of course also now visible, but that didn't matter here.
Narra advanced, walking next to Jon until he let go of her hand. All this time she was more silent than a mouse, her barefoot steps cannot be heard by any and even her breathing was so calm and sated that it felt like she wasn't breathing at all. She didn't feel too much warmth, she was accustomed to the harsh environments that were usually too hot or too cold for comfort. Her light outfit let her move freely. She liked the scorching heat that was at her feet, she liked feeling things beneath her feet because she can barely feel anything down there with her leather hard feet.
She even wondered why everyone suffer from the heat so much. She covered her eyes with her right hand for much of a second before Sara appeared beneath her left hand. Narra pet her head affectionately and smiled. After 20 days of non-stop travel she reached her goal. Narra advanced after John and saw the training course and the over-working guards. "A Piece of Cake" she thought as she saw the course. An idea formed in her mind, Narra would announce her appearance by doing the course.
Without a second thought she dropped her sword and bolted down the course, still carrying her heavy bow on her back.
