Garth heard Viktor's taunts, but at the moment did not really care for it. Well the hormone driven part of him cared, but Garth had more self-control than most young men. However, he saw no reason to further anger The Herald, and continued his retreat.
Garth's companions brought up their transportation, which was a white passenger van with the city symbol of Piltover as a decal on each side of the van. It seated about 10 people comfortably, it skidded to a halt in front of Garth and TNS-4. The back doors of the van opened up and two of Garth's companions helped him into it. Once inside Garth held out a hand to help TNS-4 into the van, a philosopher would say that taking this hand would be TNS-4's first step into a new and better future, "Come on! Freedom awaits!" Garth said with a slight grin, and once TNS-4 was inside the passenger van, Garth would shut the doors and the van would speed away as fast as it could.

TNS-4 didn't hesitate to climb into the van with Garth. Viktor's taunts had not affected him in any way, taunting the boy with words would affect him about as much as it would a wild animal. Like an animal, he was driven only by the desire to survive, he didn't care about others, about Viktor's 'Glorious Evolution'. Piltover presented the greatest chances of survival, and that is what he would take. As he sat down, TNS-4 began looking over his wounds, which had been covered in black nanites. Something was still bothering TNS-4, he looked to Garth.
"Why did you save me? You claim you do not wish to study me or otherwise use me, what do you have to gain?"
Meanwhile, since their host was now safe, the other nanites gave up the attack, all of those that weren't destroyed by Viktor united into one cloud and flew toward the van, sticking to it just before it would drive off.

One of the indiviudals in the van smakced Garth upside the head, "What were you thinking? Pissing off that madman! I thought you were smarter than that! You could have gotten yourself and all of us killed! Are you crazy!" The man barked at the younger member of the expedition team.
Garth simply shrugged at the man, "I couldn't simply allow a place as evil as Zaun to consume another life for their type of science! I just did what Caitlyn would do!"
The other men in the vehicle just sighed and muttered something about 'youthful idealism'. Before turning back and observing the polluted and dead landscape of Zaun. Garth just sighed before turning back to TNS-4, "Why did I do it? I've seen the evil of Zaun, and experienced it." He gestured to his red eye and the scar running down his face. "I just wanted to stop someone else from going through what I went through." The aspiring detective explained before pausing for a moment to continue. "However, I plan to return and save many more people, but I got a lot of growing up and training to due before then."
Though Garth wanted to adjust TNS-4's view before they actually got to Piltover. "Now I gotta be truthful with you, people will be curious about you and your origins. They will want to study you, but they understand that if you say 'no' you mean it. Furthermore, they shouldn't conduct any fatal experiments. So overall it's a lot better than that hellhole we just escaped from."

{{ Not really force me out of RP. Just that I kinda feel like Viktor's attempts to appeal to TNS-4 were doomed to fail the MOMENT you threw Garth into the mix.
Seems rather unfair to me, but hey. Whatever. Live and learn.
((Viktor may have been able to convince him, he just had too many uncertainties in his argument.)) TNS-4 nods. He had some knowledge on Piltover. He didn't know how he had attained the knowledge, but he had it. He still did not quite understand why Garth cared who was experimented on, but he did not particularly need to know, and expected the response would raise more questions. "After we get to Piltover, what should I do? Where should I get food or shelter?"

Garth pondered TNS-4 questions, as he did not really know the answers. After a moment he came up with a few questions and suggestions, "Okay I would go to the government building and see if you can't find someone more qualified to answer those questions. Maybe even an economist? Or perhaps you can get a researcher to help you by demonstrating your abilities?" Garth explained before going on to ask a few question.
"First of all what is your name? Next what skills do you possess? And do you have any dreams or anything? What do or did you like to do?" The aspiring detective asked. The first question got a few of Garth's companions to turn around and look at him. They did not quite understand why Garth had gone and saved an unknown runaway experiment, and a little suspicion was raised about TNS-4's intent.
"I understand those questions are a bit rushed, but they may help me direct you to a facility or job that you would enjoy." Garth explained.

Though the questions seemed rushed to Garth, TNS-4 answered them right away, in a matter-of-fact kind of manner, lacking emotion. "My name, or at least what I have heard myself called is TNS-4. I am knowledgeable in multiple fighting and assassination techniques and am host to a swarm of nanobots, the exact capabilities of which I do not know. I was created to follow orders, my goal is to follow the orders of a superior and to survive." It would seem that, while the boy looked human, his mind was that of a machine, but with the basic instinct of self-preservation.

Garth listened to TNS-4 give his special skills, and put his fingers to his forehead and signed. Well those weren't skills that would get him a normal life in Piltover....heck Garth wasn't sure if he could get any legal job in Piltover, "Right well. That wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear, but I guess we might have to have you experiment with your powers. Otherwise you might have to join the military or something with your current set of skills." Garth explained before pausing and thinking about TNS-4's lack of a name.
"Now we need to give you an actual name, because you are free! Why hold yourself to a name that ties you with your past of slavery? Why don't you think of a new name for yourself?" He suggested.

TNS-4 failed to understand why his skills were unsatisfactory. He was more than able to survive. Did society demand other things as well? Perhaps he should join a military unit if there was one available. Garth was right though, it would be good to know his own capabilities. "I see no reason to change my name. I do not know any others."

Garth just sighed and thought about what to with his new companion, "Alright well no point in forcing you into something you don't want to do, but we need to figure out what you could be good at besides survival orientated tasks." Then the aspiring detective quickly produced a pencil and notepad and then turned back to TNS-4 with a smile, "The good news is we have plenty of rest stops and night between now and Piltover. So with your permission, I would like to make a list of things you might try out to see what your capabilities are." He said and upon approval being given he would been to create a list.
(Want to jump to Piltover?)

"You may do as you wish, so long as it doesn't bring me harm. If you order me to try what is on the list, I will do so." After replying, he looked down at his injuries. The bullets would need to be removed from his body before he could fully heal. Hopefully it could be done here.
((Sure, we can just say he is given new clothes and has the bullets removed on the way))
