"Udyr," the beast man grunted. "We've lived in these forests since we were sixteen years of age."
His eyes narrowed. "Exploration? You will publish your findings here?"
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.

At the moment Udyr said the word "published" Nathan looked very annoyed, but not at the beast man
Do you know how much work you have to put in here to get Permission for publication? First i have to send a letter to one of the deans of my old school at Piltover University to request a research trip to Ionia, which usually takes a couple weeks for them to process. Then i have to contact a representative of the Ionian government for their permission and pay a Tax for both Piltover and Ionia in order for them to give the OK. If i fail to do any of these and publish anyways, then i get hit by a huuuge fine!
*sigh*
its much cheaper and less of a headache for me to go over here under the premise of "relaxation and tourism" and enjoy myself. So no, i wont be publishing anything, nor do i intend to do that anytime soon.
Nathan freezes in place for a moment
...hang on...did you say Udyr? as in Udyr the Spirit Walker, Ionian Champion of the Institute?
strangely, Nathan doesnt sound that excited for the possibility of meeting a champion

The beast man stared at Nathan as he droned on about the steps needed for publication, and eventually he gave him a nod about the fact that Nathan would not be publishing his findings. When he realized who Udyr was, the beast man nodded once more and said in a gruff tone, "Yes."

A journey that is endless only means the destination is unknown. To Amaya, this was her journey from birth until present day and would likely always be this way until the day she died.
The fragrance of the forest was always a welcoming one. She enjoyed everything it had to offer - from the soft sensation of the ground beneath her bare feet, to the song of the birds, to the call of the night beasts that stalked the land for survival. It was all balanced, ever changing to retain such a delicate status just like the tiny girl.
She would arrive to a small creek as she made her way silently towards the Hirana Monastery. It was a ways off still, and would opt to take a moments break to perhaps eat a little of the bread she had brought with her. She collected some berries nearby and carefully rested them between two slices, before eating the light meal while basking in the warmth of what sun broke through the canvas of leaves.

July 17th
"Who are you?" a voice growled.
Udyr stood behind the woman, arms crossed as his imposing figure loomed over her from behind. The sun cast his shadow, and in all honesty, if one could see him, it would not doubt be a unnerving sight.

She couldn't see him. That was perhaps a small blessing as she paused mid-bite at the question. She could feel the lack of sunlight hitting her now, which caused her body to cool in his looming shadow. The sandwich was lowered as she perked her ears, not turning to face him. Instead, she would study him by sound, and by feeling around her. The way the wind broke against his form gave her a good idea of his size, along with the cooled area that now caused a small chill to reach her.
"Amaya." The tiny voice spoke, sounding neither concerned, or angry. She was quite calm despite the threatening growl coming from behind her. "Have I done something to upset you?" She questioned politely, "I'm sorry if I have."

"You are an unfamiliar presence in these woods," the beast man grunted. "Why are you here?"

"The Hirana Monastery." Amaya replied in a polite manner, setting the sandwich down beside her and slowly standing. She would carefully feel her way to her feet making sure she was on the ground as she pulled her walking stick in a bit closer. Blind eyes stared forward towards Udyr, but not at him. Through him perhaps as she 'saw' in a much different way. "Have I gone the wrong way?" She asked. She thought this was the right direction. Perhaps her senses were thrown a bit with the change of the landscape.. if anything had changed. But the creek was where she remembered it being.

Heh...im surprised that I didn't immediately recognize you! You were the Most Valuable Person in the Institute match deciding the fate of Ionia's borders! You and your summoner were perhaps the greatest reason why Noxus doesn't have a foot-hold in Ionia anymore.
Nathan crosses his arms and smiles warmly
You and Summoner Bob are heroes to a lot of people, ya know.

'Blind...'
"No. You have not." Udyr let out a snort and turned around. "Continue on your path and you will reach the monastery in time." She would be able to hear the beast man's thundering steps as he walked away from her.
----------------------------------------
"We are not a hero, we are Udyr." The beast man let out a low growl. "We did not do it for fame nor fortune, we simply chose to fight and sunder their flesh."
Udyr then went quiet and stared at Nathan, as though he were waiting for something to happen or for the man to say anything else.

Amaya stood silent for a moment as she listened to Udyr. She would bow lightly to him in thanks for offering her direction, only to pause when she heard his footsteps growing further away, "Please wait. May I have your name?" She inquired in a light tone.

Nathan gives Udyr a rather bemused look
Well you can't deny that you changed the politics and future of Ionia with your two hands there! ...that and you removed a rather beloved artifact from the league because of your power. What was it again? The Innerving locket?

"Our name?" Udyr crossed his arms and allowed the faintest amount of his ki to seep out as he said, "We are Udyr."
With that done, the beast man moved to walk away once more.
------------------------------------
He shrugged his shoulders and let out a deep grunt in response. When offered squirrel, Udyr shook his head. "No. Their bones get stuck in our teeth."

3rd of December, 23 CLE.
A lone day, just like every single one she went through after losing her father. These forests meant nothing to her, just trees towering over her rather average height as she walked underneath the green umbrellas that prevented the sunlight from striking her skin. The wind blew in her face, stinging her cheeks with an icy current that kept on coming and coming, nearly annoying the young woman who decided to stop and turn her face away while she sat down beside a tree.
She took a deep breath before releasing her blade from its sheath; and stared at it for a few seconds as she looked at her rather cold expression that seemed crisp. Nothing could make her really happy, all she had left was ripped away from her and she is out there by herself, hunting those who dared to attack her home. She let out a sigh as she rested the blade by her side while she took a hold of her necklace and opened it up, gazing at the picture briefly before placing it back underneath her clothes. She closed her eyes and laid her head on the tree's trunk as she relaxed.
