Vi saw Riolu was tired a bit from that double team, but she knew Riolu could keep fighting. "Ok, Riolu! Open up with Force Palm, and then go for a Circle Throw! If that fails, use (1) double team to try and dodge!

Riolu jumps towards PorygonZ, hands bursting with blue aura and attempts a Force Palm, but Pory spends 12 energy to erect a barrier using Protect! Riolu hits the barrier, spending 4 energy.
Porygon then attempts to re-program itself into a healthier state, spending 12 energy in the process. Pory recovers 20 HP as a result. Riolu takes the time to grab PorygonZ and send him flying with a Circle Throw, dealing 14 damage ([[4+2]+3+2-2]*1,5) at the cost of 4 energy.
Porygon dives downward into the earth while flying, Diggiong through with its nose. It spends 10 energy to burrow underground. Pory then uses an additional 6 energy to stay buried untill next action, preventing Circle Throw from switching him out!

Jayce decided to sit down, he didn't want to watch his pokemon get pounded around by a type advantage. He didn't know what to do - should he surrender the match? ... no, that wouldn't do well.
"Pory, after you Dig, use your Psychic once again, then follow up with Psychic Hidden Power."
His expression turned solemn, this was no time to be shouting. His position as the gym leader was at stake.

Riolu rubs her palms together, creating a surge of static electricity that causes her to rise in the air, expending 6 energy to do so. PorygonZ propels out of the ground nose first, but can't strike the now-levitating Riolu.
Riolu's eyes then glow blue and a small blue sphere exits Pory's frame, into Riolu. Riolu then quickly digs underground, just like PorygonZ did last turn, for 12 energy. Pory attempts a Psychic attack, but it misses, draining 8 energy. Riolu comes out of the ground immediately after, dealing 7 damage (8+2-3).
Pory then focuses its energies and releases them into a pink, bright sphere at Riolu, expending 5 energy to do so. The attack hits Riolu for 18 damage ([7+7-2]+1,5)! Riolu then counterattacks with a Force Palm, dealing 14 damage ([6+3+3-3]*1,5) and uses 4 energy.

Vi laughed. "Alright, Riolu, we trained for this! Use Feint, and follow up with ANOTHER Force Palm! Finish it off with a Detect!" She laughed slightly. She hadn't expected this particular fight to be so easy. Later, she'd have to remember to complement Caitlyn on the perks of skill and strategy.

((True. But I was referring to Riolu. She's got a disadvantage in everything else; less health, less damage, less resistance, less speed. I'm entirely relying around playing smart with her, because otherwise, I'd have been screwed by now.))

Riolu jumps forward attempting to smack Pory. In response Pory raises a barrier (-7 energy), but Riolu generates an image that bypasses the wall with a somersault and smacks Pory upside its head, dealing 4 damage (4+3-3) (-4 energy).
Porygon then reshapes its body into a more rounded form, obtaining a +1 bonus to defense (-5 energy). Riolu takes the time to charge up a Force Palm (-4 energy), dealing 14 damage ([6+3+3-3]*1,5) and applying 20% paralysis to PorygonZ!
Porygon then focuses its strenght into a Hidden Power (Psychic) (-5 energy), which ends up being blocked by Riolu's Detect. Defending from the attack drains Riolu's energy by 14 points.
After the round, Pory regains some mobility, and its paralysis is reduced to 15%.

Vi laughed. "Way to go, Riolu! We've got 'em in a pinch now!" With a quick pump of her fist in the air, she gave another set of commands. "So, Riolu, use Screech! Follow it up with Drain Punch, and then use Strength to wrap things up!" She liked how things were going.

"Pory, use protect again, follow up with an Aerial Ace, and then use Psychic!" He groaned, letting Vi have the type-advantage was proving to be a really bad idea.

Riolu breathes in, and then emits an ear-piercing screech (-6 energy), but Porygon blocks it with an energy barrier! (-7 energy). Pory's paralysis lessens (10%).
PorygonZ then flies up into the air and, with an impressive acrobatics, dives nose-first into Riolu. The attack deals 11 damage ([6+3-2]*1,5) at the cost of 4 energy. Riolu gathers aura energy into his clenched fist and hits Pory right in its digital face, dealing 15 damage ([[8+3]+3-4]*1,5) for 11 energy. Some of the expended aura returns to Riolu, healing him (+8 HP). Pory's paralysis is almost gone! (5%)
Pory's eyes then glow with pink energy, and the same energy seems to surround Riolu, lifting her into the air and then smashing her against the ground, dealing an astounding 20 damage ([[6+2]+7-2]*1,5) and draining 6 energy. Riolu picks herself up and tries to muster her strength, charging into PorygonZ, dealing 7 damage (8+3-4) at the cost of 6 energy.
PorygonZ heals itself from Paralysis, and its defense returns to normal.
