Jon looked up to see who he was looking at. For a moment, he wondered if he had gone back in time, but hearing him speak brought him out of that thought. Seeing that the man seemed to almost be from a military background, Jon gave a nod towards such by standing up, giving a small salute, and giving the "at ease" motion. After listening to the man speak, he responded.
"You have the floor, sir. But first, could you please tell me your name?"

The man remained standing the way he was, it was evident he might have even been comfortable standing at attention. He responded to the CMO's salute by pressing his right hand in a fist over his heart, a salute of his own, and spoke up once more.
"Aetius Domitus Marcellus, sir. You may simply call me Aetius if my full name is too much of a mouthful, sir."

Aetius responded with a nod of his own, and then continued speaking.
"I am in need of some medical supplies, sir. Nothing very advanced. Basic things, such as bandages, gauze, perhaps some disinfectant. Not a lot, either. I just need some things to put in my pack as I travel, sir."

Jon listens to Aetius speak before he responds. In the meantime, he gets out a clipboard with a document and a pencil on it, handing it over to him.
"Just check off whatever you need, and I'll send one of my Options down with the sheet to the quarter-master, which will then return with said medical supplies, along with the bill for the total cost of all the items."

Aetius nodded, and took the pencil and document.
"Very well then, sir."
He took several moments to look over the entirety of the list, checking to see what was included on it before he made any marks on the paper. After about a minute, he rapidly checked off several items, and then passed the document back to the CMO. The items checked off were minimal. All Aetius wanted were 3 bandages, a roll of gauze, and a small vial of disinfectant.

Jon took back the document, then handed it to one of the Options nearby, which promptly flew out the room, carrying the paper. He then turned back to face Aetius.
"Alright, it should be a few minutes at most, sir."
"So... why do you need such supplies?"

"Ah, ok," Jon responds, nodding.
The Option returns with a small box of the supplies Aetius requisitioned, as well as a small paper. Jon takes the paper and gives a small look at it before handing it to Aetius.
"Alright, the supplies are in the box. That paper's there for you to confirm the purchase: 11 gold."

Aetius fished around in a coin purse on a belt around his waist for several moments, and then handed over the exact amount in coins. He was about to start out, but then, he hesitated for a moment.
"Just one more thing, sir. Do you know of any....odd effects of lightning strikes on a person, sir?"

Jon went into a bit of deep thought for a minute; as a scholar, he was generally well up-to-date on all the latest scientific knowledge, as well as those in the past, but lightning effects weren't something he always knew on the spot.
He looked at a random spot on the floor, appearing in thought, before he looked at Aetius and spoke again.
"Well, there are some interesting results that have come out of people surviving lightning strikes: neural enhancements, mental augmentations, and in extremely rare cases, certain capabilities that include the control of lightning and the like."
Jon then thoughtfully tipped up his helmet. "But of course, as the cases for the latter come once in a decade, there isn't really enough information or evidence to be able to confirm that part."
