The CMO's Office

Jon looked at him somewhat quizzically at first, but then decided to get up, and began to walk to one of the side walls, which now had a case door.

"When I first became CMO a decade ago, I wanted to achieve one thing: to save innocents. I wanted to protect as many as possible, and if possible all of them. However, as events transpired, I failed in managing to do so."

"The Voyage, the Nightmare's attack in Demacia, and now, Jack the Ripper's killing spree... here... in our own Piltover." At this, he clenched and raised his right fist, his expression one of anger.

"Witnessing these events proved to me that as I currently stand, I can't fulfill my hope. I needed help, and so I asked my father how to get help. He told me to look at what he gave me, and then see what I could do with it. He was referring to the Katanas." And with that, he opened up the case door, revealing a set of sleek, complex, and 'cool' looking black armor, and next to it a futuristic-looking sheath, containing two swords and a smaller blade. Jon drew out a greyish-looking Katana from it, and began to hold it around him.

"I inherited these from him. Now, a sword of this capability is good, but it's not going to do anything in the age of firearms. And so, I turned to the one man who could make me use such a weapon in this age.You know him well enough now." Jon paused for a moment to look at the Defender, to observe his reaction and to signify just which person he was referring to.

"And so, that day, I was no longer just Jon the Medic... I became Jon, the Cyborg. Jon, the Ninja. Jon... the Avenger." The last word was said in a more stern manner, as if there was a new meaning behind it.

"And now, along with saving lives, I have a new purpose: stop the evil, who seek to harm innocents, by any means necessary, even if it means by the sword." With that, Jon performed a complex sword technique, eventually finishing with a flourish, holding the Fox Katana in front of him, pointed in no general direction.

"That, is the reason for my change." And with that, he returned to the case door, and upon returning the Katana into its sheath, he closed the door.

"Of course, this does not change my loyalty in anyway... whatsoever," Jon then added, with emphasis on the last word. "I live and serve Piltover, and will thus always faithfully carry out my duties as its Chief Medical Officer."

"However... I now also have another way to ensure the weak, the meek, the innocent... can be saved. Instead of the operating table, there is the household, the field, where they can be saved from harm before even being harmed in the first place." With that, he finished speaking, and sat back down into his chair, looking at the Defender to see what his reaction would be.

"Defect to Zaun... I'd sooner take my life than do that," Jon commented, giving a small chuckle behind it. But the Defender's other comment was... somewhat curious. He needed to pay the Herald himself a visit? Jon wasn't so sure that would be the best idea as it currently was.

"...pay him a visit? Jayce, you know he hasn't gotten over your actions in his lab. You two will almost certainly not get along anytime soon."

"...besides, there's something I wish to request of you, as well. You're the only one I'd trust to this as well," Jon then added; he got up, walked to the case door again, opened it, and took off the sheath, containing both Katanas and the Blade.

He walked over to Jayce, and then spoke again. "Jayce... could you possibly improve my blades? Viktor did a little bit, but most of his work was on my body. The weapons did recieve augmentations, but I feel that is something more in your line of work, and thus can perhaps upgrade my Katanas better." He then held them out to the Defender, awaiting a response.

Jon could only blink and stare at Jayce for a minute, his cybernetic eye emitting a changing brilliance of red to reflect his thinking, before he gave his opinion.

"Defender... if I were to give my personal opinion, I would say that it Piltover will need to be ready to defend itself, literally; Noxus withdrawing from the league, a Voidal invasion, various murder sprees - I might say that it could very well be the time that Piltover must make a decision that would decide it's future: Piltover's official neutrality may have to finally come to an end, and will need to enter the tangled mess that is the alliance system that is beginning to form on Valoran, and along with it, possibly... militarize." He fell silent for a bit after that last word, not sure how the Defender would react to his opinion.

"...but of course, that is just my opinion; It's well known that Parliament as of late has been having a great government in place; I trust they will be able to ensure Piltover's future stays safe and secure."

Jon blinked at Jayce's response; he had never seen him this angry before. When he asked him about an idea, he tilted his head before responding.

"Well, the PMC could very well be expanded, and reformed into a true military force; it would need to be brought up to Parliament, and passed though, before that could happen."

"I only suggested the PMC because it is the most easily expandable force, though it would need to be renamed somewhat, as it is no longer just a Medical aspect. Piltover needs to protect itself, in the air, by land, and by sea. No, it would no longer be the Piltover Medical Corps..."

"...it would become the Piltover Marine Corps."

"...of course, this is just hypothesizing, and I'm not sure how Parliament will proceed with such a militarization," he then concluded, waiting for the Defender's response.
