Ray had lifted the glass to where his lips were, his other hand about to lift his mask. When she mentioned that they were mixing blood into drinks, he seemed to lose his need for a drink. Putting down the glass he looked over her shoulder again. "That beautiful thing up there drinks blood? Hard to believe at first glance."
Tilting his head a bit, he started to look at the demi-god known as Renekton. He didn't look that tough, a couple explosive rounds and he'd be out cold. With a humorous tone he spoke back to Kin. "I suppose I could rescue a big scared Ionian in distress."

James ignored the 'your day' comment, hearing the reptilian say it made him angry for some reason, though if there was one thing the faceless mage was taking note of it was Renekton's tone, clearly he was starting to annoy him. As such while he spoke he gave the reptile a blank look as he'd be sure to cut their conversation off as soon as he was done speaking and just go sit down with Ray and Kin, mostly to keep himself from doing something stupid like pestering Renekton with more questions.
Though, one word Renekton spoke made James almost let out a chuckle, God. Typically, such deities have been nonexistent in the mind of James, beings who are above you simply because they are? Preposterous. He didn't really believe that Renekton was a god of course, but a champion of the league? Most definitely believable.
With Renekton now finished speaking to James and killing their brief conversation for him he turned to Marcy at the counter and chuckled before shaking his head and taking a sip of the water. "It is VERY hot actually but I'd prefer to keep it on, Thank you for concern though miss." He said in a polite tone and took his leave from the counter to the table with his associates, though not before digging a few Valors out of his cloak and sliding them toward Marcy for the water.
Now at the table with Ray and Kin James went back to his usual habits and casually pitched into the conversation. "So Noxus, wonderful place so far right? Blood drinking casual vampires and giant reptiles who stare into things you never knew you had, wonderful."
Marcy smiled at her brother, "Got to have something that makes us different from the rest." She could just barely hear what the people at the table said, not that she bothered eavesdropping. She took out the cleaning rag again, rinsing it in water before wiping the counter were some of the alcohol had landed.
She nodded at James as he put up the Valors on the counter, sliding her hand over them she collected them as well as the rest of the coins on the counter. Looking up at Renekton she nodded, "Say, Renekton, what does a God do here in Noxus?" She asked.

Kin shrugged, "It's what I heard at least. Maybe it's code for something else. Like ketchup or something as equally disgusting." She sighed as she lifted her arm back up, resting her chin in her palm as she watched Ray push the drink away. "I checked, it's not poisoned or anything. If it were... well, it'd give me the excuse to get out." Kin grinned, though it was hidden beneath the mask. "Unless you're just scared."
However, she refused to look at the reptile, bristling slightly at what the man was inferring. "Yes, I do so love an overconfident, trigger-happy Piltovian to 'rescue' me and potentially blow everyone else's head off in the process." She tapped a finger against her chin, "Just promise you'll let out a warning so I can vacate the area before you use one of your fancy bullets."
When she heard James begin to talk again, and she could only hope he didn't pick a fight. Relief was one way to describe it when she heard the rustle of his cloak as he returned back to the table. "Sometimes, James, you're a bit of a mystery. They look at you and they think 'Does that man really have no face?' and 'Where did it go?' But life is too short to dwell on such things." She rolled her eyes, "Noxus is proving to be so fun, it's unbearable."
The Ionian sighed a little. "What are we doing here again?" While still wary, it seemed as if Kin had shrugged off a sliver of her paranoia though she deliberately turned her chair slightly so she could watch the door.
Bringing the bolt of is rifle back again, he replied to Kin. "You'll be the first to know before I blow somebodies brain out."
He turned as James rejoined them. Sliding the martini over to him, he said in a legitimate way. "Can you believe it James, Kin bought you a drink! How nice of her."
A slight chuckle escape his mouth as Kin poked fun at James again. He always thought her jokes about him were funny. "You have a mouth to drink that with...right?"
After the jokes seemed to pass, Ray turned to Kin who was expressing her discomfort being in Noxus for the billionth time it seemed. He leaned back as he went explained their purpose for being there again. "We only have to stay here for a couple of days so I can find a boat that is willing to take us over to Ionia. Believe me, I want to be here in this sinister state just as much as you do."

As James had departed from the bar to sit with his compatriots, Renekton's eyes had lazily followed the man for part of the way, before coming back to the drink sitting in front of him. Smart man. Leaving while ahead was a wise option. Studying the concoction of blood and alcohol, the Butcher listened to the conversation at the aforementioned table. Though they most likely did not intend for their voices to carry, the demigod's hearing picked up on their words--though what stood out the most was the unmistakable clanking sound of a rifle's bolt being drawn back. Foolish human. Inciting a fight with a god would not end well for him. Their other topics of conversation mattered little to him. Whatever the humans wished to do, wherever they wished to travel, it did not matter to the Culling Blade in the least. They seemed nothing more than scavengers and opportunists, jumping from one bad scrape to the next.
Opening his savage looking maw, he consumed a little more of his drink. As Renekton's eyes slid over to examine Marcy in response to her question, he grunted and swallowed. He voice slightly growling, he said, "I am stuck here because of the accursed Institute. As I just told that other nosy man, they brought me to this world to be one of their champions. They did not care whether I wished to be part of their games, and now after escaping their clutches I await their downfall."
What he left out was the other part of his deal with the Grand General: his return to his Homeworld conditional upon Noxus' rise to power over all of Valoran. Though a being fueled in part by legendary rage, Renekton was as cunning as he was brutal. Taking another swig from the bottle, he turned back to staring into space, reptilian eyes gleaming viciously.

A pale, bald man wearing a black overcoat entered the tavern and promptly sat down at a table in the far corner of the room. He seemed to be Zaunite in origin, and likely some sort of scientist; even through his heavy coat, one could tell that his limbs didn't carry much weight, and he did not have the look or the air of a Wizard....Just that of a man seeking information. However, this would be...Quite hard, given how crowded the bar was at the present moment. Hedid not seem to want to rub shoulders with the other guests - Particularly the large reptile seated at the booth, which he made clear to give a wide berth by sitting as far from the creature as possible. If and when Marcy would glance his way, he would try to flag her down with a small gesture. This would, hopefully, be painless...
Marcy nodded and looked upon the man that walked into the bar, she then replied to Renekton, "Ah, I didn't know the Institute was failing, the more you know." She replied before walking up to the bald man, he seemed ill. She didn't care about disease though, being almost completely immune to it due to her 'curse' as some called it. She smiled at him as she got close to him.
"Hello, sir, what will it be?" The vampire asked him and leaned on the counter, her fingers running across the hard wood. There was something wrong with the man, she could tell that much. But it wasn't in her place to question her customers unless they did something really wrong.

James chuckled as Kin had cracked a joke at him, "It's what I do best. James Hyers, man of mystery." It's not like James cared if his traveling companion poked fun at him, he understood his predicament very well and what it must be like for others to see someone like him firsthand, but he had grown with this strangeness and was quite used to laughing with others when his faceless state was brought into subject.
When Ray had slid the martini to him however he shook his head in rejection of the beverage. "I'm good. A drink after meeting that... thing is the last thing I need." After this Ray went on to explain their current situation in Noxus to Kin as James noted the newest arrival in the bar, turning back to his companions he decided to fill them in on this. "New guy just came in, any bets on if he's some kind of horror in disguise after what we've seen here so far?"

"Water would be fine, thank you....And, perhaps, some information, if you could spare it." the bald man rasped, coughing lightly and grimacing before he continued. "Blasted Zaunite smog... Ruins the lungs, I tell you." He shook his head lightly then looked back up to Marcy and smiled. "But yes, if you do have anything to spare, I would be more than willing to accept it."

"I'll be the first to know or the first to hear?" Kin shook her head, "But do what you want. Not like I can stop you from swinging that thing around." She eyed the drink that was being passed around like a communal drink and the only thing she could do was huff to herself. It wasn't her fault Ray didn't enjoy the sweet drink. But it wasn't of any importance right now; fact of the matter was, it was his money and his loss.
"Remember, he doesn't need a mouth to eat or drink. Maybe that entire void is a mouth." Kin always had the urge to just stick her hand into James' hood, but she always feared massive jaws clamping down on her wrist. She rather liked having her limbs attached but one day... well, if they ever got out of this damned city, she may have a go at it.
Kin was about to continue on when a creak of the door caught her attention. Her gaze shot towards the entrance, almost stabbing the man with her eyes. Hairless like an egg and about as white as one, the man did not look dangerous at first glance though his coat was too large for her liking. People hid things in there. Her fingers edged to the side where she had left her pack, warily brushing over the comforting shape of something sharp as the man coughed and choked his way through a simple sentence.
"A Zaunite?" She muttered, completely ignoring Ray and James now. "That's a horror if I ever saw one." Kin had about as much love for Zaunites as she did for Noxus. A Noxian was a lesser evil, yet an evil was still an evil. Zaun had personally scorched Ionia and boiled the countrysides with burning acid and terror. Though she travelled with a Noxian, she would never consider even befriending a fiend from that place. But her hatred was not so deep - simply sentimental. She let out a ragged sigh. "This place keeps getting better."
Marcy can't help but feel cautious around the man, something tells her that his coughing isn't because of Zaun. Nodding she turns around and takes out a glass and fills it with cold water. Turning around again she places the water in front of him. "Here you go, sir. And what kind of information are you talking about? Directions? Rumors?" She asked, tilting her head a little.

The man nodded his thanks before he downed his glass of water like he had just left Shurima. He sighed contentedly before setting down his glass, now speaking with a significantly reduced rasp to his voice. "Ah, thank you so very much...Anyhow, I am mostly seeking rumor or fact, whatever you have to offer." He lowered his voice slightly, so that it would not be heard beyond their table. "In particular, anything you can tell me about your illustrious leader... I haven't been able to glean very much information on current events, but from what I hear something very big has happened to him of late." There seemed to be a faint golden flicker in his eyes, but it quickly vanished.

Vergil continued his drink paying no attention to the other occupants in the bar. Once his drink ran out he dropped a few coins on the counter enough to pay for the drink and quickly turned to leave.
Marcy thought on his request for a moment and walked up to where Vergil had been sitting and collected the coins and put it away before walking up to him again. She tilted her head back and forth whilst thinking.
"Well, I don't know where you heard that, sir. 'Cus all I've heard is that he's still doing fine." She replied and looked at him. There was something really weird with this man, asking questions about Swain and although he seemed to know more than most Noxians does.
