December 20th 23CLE
Demacia, Central Marketplace. Midday.
Snow... Shyvana doesn't like snow so much, mostly because it reminded her off sleepless nights when she was younger. But also because it was cold. The streets of Demacia was covered in it, the annoying white powder that was snow. The children seemed to love it as they ran around and threw balls of snow at each other or built snowmen.
The Half-Dragon made her way through the marketplace and up towards the palace, everywhere you could hear different merchants shouting things like: "Get your Snowdown ham here!" or "Gloves for sale, protect your hands from the cold!" Everything about the snow annoyed Shyvana. Although she did stop at one of the stalls and looked at some of the wares he had.
From what she had seen on the new King, he didn't seem so enthusiastic about Snowdown as he had been before. So Shyvana was looking for something to give to Jarvan IV.
"Hmm... Maybe a necklace? No... that's too girly. What about one of those fluffy poro things... maybe..." Shyvana stood there and looked at the different wares, thinking of what to buy. She wasn't one to really give a lot of gifts. There were few people Shyvana would even consider giving a gift. Jarvan IV was at the top of that list though, mainly because he had helped her when she needed it the most.
Shyvana would be in the Marketplace for a while longer or until she had found what she was looking for, if she knew what she was looking for.

The cold breeze would pass by Demacia's marketplace like a fleeting moment with a butterfly on one's nose. All around, people would step out of their way to acknowledge the armored man with the blue scarf as he stepped through the snow and into the stalls. One of the children would accidentally hit him with a snowball, and he would grin as he bent over and made a snowball of his own, before lightly tossing it at the child and gave him a thumbs up. He would continue walking, giving each store a quick glance for some wares.
Usually, he got some sort of trinket to give his sister and another small item for the Prince... well, King. As he approached a certain stall, he found a delightful little bracelet from an old man's stall, and from the way the old man was trying to advertise it, the necklace must be something he hand-crafted. For someone of old age to handcraft something so beautiful... it must be a true work of art. One that is unknown, apparently.
"Lord Crownguard, for you, I'll lower the price by half!" the man said in a croaky voice as he saw Garen looking at the bracelet.
"No, no. I'll pay full price, and a little extra to help you towards future crafts." Garen said, handing the old man a bag of gold. While it did cost quite a lot for something petite, it was made with earnest hands. Definitely something worth it. As Garen said his goodbye to the merchant and placing the boxed bracelet into one of the small pockets by his chest armor, Garen spotted a certain redhead wandering around the marketplace.
"What a surprise..." he thought, before approaching the person that had caught his eye. "Shyvana." Garen called out, hoping to catch the attention of the Half-Dragon.

Shyvana had just begun to move to another stall when she had heard her name getting called out. As the Half-Dragon turned around she saw him approaching her. The leader of the Dauntless Vanguard, Garen himself. Shyvana did concider him a friend, although not on the very top. His actions during the peace talks had made Shyvana respect Garen a bit more.
"Ah, Garen. Nice day today? Hadn't it been for the snow it had been a lot better if you ask me." Shyvana said with a smile, looking up into the bright blue sky before looking down at Garen again. His armor seemed to reflect most of the sunlight as he seemed to glow a bit when the Might of Demacia came closer.

Garen flashed Shyvana a toothy smile as he placed his gloved hand on his chestplate before bowing slightly. As he straightened back up, he would glance at the snow around them. While he enjoyed the snow and the festivities that came with it's wake, Garen figured Shyvana wouldn't like it that much being someone more... fiery in nature.
"Perhaps you should wear something to... counter the snow's effects. Like a scarf, for example." Garen mentioned while lightly tugging on his blue scarf. Not only was the scarf to make him warm, it was totally cool looking. He's inclined to think of a cool breeze or a cold stream with his scarf, compared to the red hair of Shyvana.

Shyvana couldn't help but smile a bit more at Garen as he bowed. The Half-Dragon looked at the scarf that Garen tugged in, he always wore that so she had some trouble seeing why it would be so special right now.
"Well, it's more of that it brings back bad memories than the cold. The cold I can handle to a point, but the other..." Shyvana shook her head and looked at him, she did feel cold. Her Ironscale armor wasn't as protective from the cold as she had thought it would be.
"Huh? Oh, yes. I am looking for something to give to Jarvan, I was thinking one of those small poro teddies or something." Shyvana looked back at the stall she had been looking at before looking back at Garen.

Liana wandered down the market place street wearing a thick pure white fur cloak for warmth, some would say if it weren't for her pitch black hair she would blend in with the snow. She was looking for a little something to get for her parents with what little she had saved up. She had been focusing so much on the stalls that she didn't notice that she was walking right into the back of someone. She fell over onto her behind with a quiet thump.
Liana's face froze in horror the moment she noticed who she just ran into, Shyvana The Half Dragon. She immediately tried to stutter an apology to the league champion but nothing coherent seemed to come out. She looked like a blind idiotic fool the way she was now, all she could hope was she didn't get incinerated alive.

As Shyvana waited on a response from Garen she heard some steps coming from behind and then she felt someone or something push her towards Garen. Shyvana tipped forward onto Garen, standing up and turning around she saw the black haired girl on the ground.
Shyvana was rather surprised that someone had bumped into her, especially now when her steel colored armor and crimson hair made her stand out a lot more than usual. Leaning down she smiled at the girl and held out her hand. "You okay there? A tip when walking is to keep your eyes open." Shyvana said with a smile and would pull Liana up from the ground if she took her hand.

Another white cloak would shift through the marketplace, this time with a hood to keep his head dry. Lucas walked forward, slowly, in order to observe the stalls for an affordable gift. He went to some merchant selling gloves and inspected a glove.
I've seen better. Especially the thumb is too high.
After a lot of searching, Lucas found a pair of gloves that was somewhat acceptable. "Excuse me. How much do you ask for these?" "Five Valors" Lucas resisted the urge to facepalm. "I don't think these are big enough for my friend, but thanks for the offer, sir." "I have bigger than these, sir." "Thanks, but no thanks. Have a good day" Without saying anything more, Lucas walked on looking for something to give.
I am a Pathfinder. I will do what everyone else thinks below him, because someone must do it. Call me dishonorable for it all you want. I serve justice, not honor. And Demacia, ofcourse.

Garen raised an eyebrow and his smile widened. Heck, it was a full-blown grin as he held back the urge to laugh. A poro plush, for the king? While they do seem adorable, Garen couldn't think of a reason of why Jarvan would need one. Then again... in the midst of all these festivities, he was mourning for the loss of his father. Perhaps something cute would help cheer their new king.
"Hmm... Something to make him happy in this challenging time." Garen said in a hushed tone, hoping Shyvana would catch his drift. Garen grew up with Jarvan IV, so Jarvan III felt like Garen's uncle. The Might of Demacia felt the pain that his childhood friend is experiencing, but alas, never to the same extent.
Then he felt armor and armor collide as Shyvana bumped into him from a force exerted by someone behind her. Garen has never been so physically close to the Half-Dragon before, but he held her arms as she bumped into him, then immediately let go when she found her footing.
When Shyvana turned around, Garen peeked past Shyvana's body to see who it was that she was talking to. A citizen. Well, for a man renowned for honor, he decided not to jump into their conversation, and instead offered Liana a smile. The little bump with Shyvana made his blood rush unexpectedly, and a faint hue settled on his cheeks and ears.

James had come down to the market for the day. He didn't look to well-bundled, but to him it sufficed, and he just walked through the snow, keeping a firm footing while he looked for what he needed. In particular, he needed some drawing supplies to replace his dwindling pile of parchment and pencils. He also needed to find a gift for his mother, although he wouldn't be able to make it back to her in time for the official Snowdown celebration this year. Shame.
Soon, he was at the booth across from where the two champions and the small girl were talking, browsing the wares idly. They seemed to be selling exactly what he needed, a stack of parchment complete with a bundle of simple pencils of varying sizes stacked on top of it. He came up to the shopkeeper and haggled for a couple minutes, managing to knock off a few valors before walking away with the supplies.
He gave a quick glance around, looking for a gift, before settling on the stall across the way where everyone else was. He preferred not to mix work and his normal life, but if Shyvana noticed him, he supposed he would have no choice. It also was the first place he'd seen the entire trip that sold those Poro plushies; his mother really loved Poros. He tried to keep his head down and made his way to the stall, grabbing a the only Poro it looked like he could afford. "Uh, excuse me, how much does this cost, sir?" He held the Poro up for the shopkeeper could see, standing right behind Liana.
I will meet one someday...and that day will either be the best or worst day of my life.

Liana hesitantly too The Half Dragon's hand afraid of what might happen if she actually stood up. She barely even came to the Woman's shoulders perhaps not even to her shoulders. "I-I'm sorry" Was all that could escape her lips as she tried to compose herself to no avail. She seemed to try and shrink down into the background out of pure shyness.
It took her a moment to realize that Garen was present as well which made her feel even more shy but she at least could produce a little smile to them both.

Shyvana smiled and looked at the small girl. Shyvana recognized her a little, chuckling when Liana spoke to her Shyvana shook her head. "It's okay, dear." Shyvana turned around and looked at Garen before looking back at Liana.
"Tell me, little girl, what's your name?" Shyvana asked her with a smile.

Liana tried to compose herself again to reply to Shyvana's question but still answer terribly."L-Liana" She replyed but not wanting to speak of her last name. Her shy attitude only seemed to get worse at the mention of her size.

"A pretty name. Rhymes with 'Shyvana', doesn't it?" Garen said, unable to restrain his friendliness. Though he was renowned for being a battle-hardened veteran, he was also a noble and a gentleman. Hell, he was sometimes even a jester. He looked at Liana and grinned. "There's no need to be shy, Liana. We're all friends here."

Shyvana looked at Garen with cold eyes before looking back at Liana, "Nice to meet you, Liana."
The Half-Dragon looked around them, looking for something to give to the new King as well as something for herself. Looking behind Liana she saw the Corporal James Marker, it had been a while since Shyvana had seen him.
"Corporal James Marker, come here. I have a task for you." Shyvana called out and looked down at Liana with a smile. "Tell me, Liana. Ever had a... bodyguard before?"
