Soraka was sitting at her table reading the Valoran newspaper when she heard a knock at her door. She quickly places down her paper and stands to answer the door. Orion, who was napping peacefully on the windowsill, is now awake and stretching due to the knocking. She opens the door to see a familiar face, one who visits often in need of her healing.
"Markus! Welcome, please come inside."
The Starchild allows him entry and shuts the door behind him. She then leads him to a seat.
"Please sit. Are you hurt? I will heal you back up right away."

Markus gladly enters Soraka's home and has a seat, shaking his head at her.
"No, i didn't hurt myself this time. I came for some advice, all of these healing trips i've been making to you are nice and all but i was wondering if you knew of any more permanent solutions. Thing's are looking bad out in the world, and i can't be kept down with the worry of breaking my bones on the battlefield. So, is there anything that can be done?"
With that he looked up at her, hopeful that her power would be able to help him use this gift to truly help protect his home.

Soraka smiled at Markus as he asked of a permanent solution to injuries. If there were then she wouldn't be needed.
"No, there is not a way to make you immune to harm. Shields can absorb some damage before breaking, but I am unable to conjure such things. But, I can heal from far away as long as I have a link. For example my wish ability when I am on the fields of justice, the summoners' powers are what link me to my allies."
She then walks to a chest at the foot of her bed and begins to rummage through it. After a short moment she pulls out two identical silver rings. These rings have runes carved into them.
"I had these rings infused with magic a while ago. They will link the two wearers, even without summoners. When you run into trouble, I will notice it and be able to heal you even though I am far away. But take caution, we will be able to feel and hear everything the other does. You bleed and I will too. What someone tells you, they also tell me. I will even be able to hear your thoughts. Same goes for me to you."
She then holds one ring out to Markus.
"Will you accept this? As long as you wear the ring you will be linked to an old woman with entirely too much time on her hands."
She smirks at this last sentence.

Markus looks at the ring curiously as Soraka explains it's purpose before giving Soraka a smile and shaking his head once again
"I thank you for this, but i think if we were tied through feeling you wouldn't enjoy having your body live through what i do. Although i do appreciate the effort, i can't risk that."
He rubs his hand on his chin before asking another question"
"The macho guy with the big hammer from Piltover, Jayce i think his name is. Have you two ever talked off the fields?"

Soraka chuckles when Markus denies the ring.
"Do not be foolish child, I know better than anyone what you put your body through. You have come to my door countless times battered and bleeding. I wouldn't be offering this if I didn't know and accept the consequences. I am tougher than I look, I managed to fight off a man with the intention of taking my life when I first left my grove. He had already stabbed me as well."
She then kneels down next to Markus and gently grabs his hand. She puts the ring on his palm and closes his fingers around it.
"Please accept it, if not I will have to accompany you in your fights and I know you don't want that either."
Soraka sits at the other chair at the table when Markus asks of Jayce. Orion hops off of the window sill and climbs onto her lap. She pets the cat absently.
"Jayce? The only times off of the fields are at council meetings, though I am not sure that counts. Why do you ask Markus?"

Markus clutches the ring in his hand tightly before looking at Soraka again.
"I'll wear it. But i was curious about Jayce because i contacted him a few days ago and he is supposed to be able to create something for me to help with one of my techniques."
Suddenly he stands up and slides the ring onto his finger, the runes on it glowing slightly.
"And i was supposed to ask the captain for time off to see him before she started training some new recruit! I bet they've already started, i knew i was forgetting something!"

Soraka giggles at Markus' apology.
"I know you are in a hurry. Come back anytime, you are always welcome here."
She bows back ay him and watches as he hastily makes his way out of the hut. Once he is out of view, the ring on her finger glows slightly. Because of their new connection, she can see his every movement and watch over him.
"Have comfort in knowing that I am watching over you Markus."
