Twenty five years as a cavalier, this was not the first time Hilde's animal's weak spots was under attack. Daisy's barding included eye protection, and the shot that would've scared it off only agitated her further. She reared up for another kick with her front legs, trying to knock Jon over with a very strong kick.
Meanwhile, Hilde now had the presence of mind to bring out her mace, placing her hand through the loop and dismounted with a single swift motion. If there was anything unfair of this battle, was that it was one against two, and Hilde was now coming in with that mace and shield.
Rise forth, riders With blade, spear and fire
deliver justice upon a steed of wrath; the red dawn light our path!
To mine enemy's end I ride, to my king victory and pride
To the end of our days and hopes, to the moment evil does close!
Sing the last praise, our swords unsheathing crash into the enemy, their bodies breaking
Ride out our Ruin, Ride unto Glory, Ride for Demacia!-Cavalier's Creed

Jon saw the horse rear up; it presented itself an interesting opportunity...
...a chance for Hilde to dismount.
Aiming at the underside as the horse reared, Jon sent his entire magazine of 8 rounds into the horse's underside. It'd most likely have some possible protection...
...but the underside was the weakest, and he hoped it would lead to the horse needing to recover.

Hilde fell from her saddle in short order, but caught herself in a practiced roll, ending up on one knee as her mount was struck and fled the battle.
Relieved of her mount, Hilde got to her feet and charged in, mace swinging, intent on first disarming Jon of any weapon he drew. Now it was time to test Jon's mettle in combat.

Jon saw out of the corner of his eye the horse took off; a successful gamble, crossing his mind as he reloaded his rifle.
That got cut short by seeing Hilde charge him, however. At this point, he didn't even have the rifle loaded; there'd be no time to try to use the weapon the way it was meant to...
...except the way he always saw it.
Flipping the rifle, he grasped it like a pole, and as if he was back in his own memory again, he swung it, not at Hilde... but at her mace; he had another weapon, but if he could remove the mace, he would try to go for a full body tackle.
It wasn't gentlemanly... but this fight wasn't gentlemanly to begin with.

Hilde met Jon in melee with the shield and blocked his disarm attempt with the shield, his strong blow scratching off some of the blue and gold. Again he mirrors her actions, she thought, and decides to swing her mace at Jon's knee to see how well the armor protected and hindered.

The recoiling off of the met blows meant Jon didn't have enough time to be able to block the swing at his knees.
However, the outcome of this was tested already... didn't she recognize this?
The blow sent a very awkwardly felt force through his knees, which made him back up a good few yards to recover his stability. The armor held - which was already expected - but his knees felt incredibly off for the time being.
He would have to fight with his funny bone feelings in both his knees... an interesting sidenote, but one that he put behind his head as he took aim with his rifle and returned a peppering fire, aiming at all over the place; he knew the kite shield would block most his shots... but it couldn't block all, and he intended the peppering fire to misdirect Hilde's ability to guess where he was aiming yet.

From this point on the fight would be about weathering the rubber bullets and closing the gap. She winced at each round that found its past past her armor and shield, and would charge once Jon stopped to reload, this time trying to stun him and knock him down with a shield bash. She put her weight behind the lunge, testing Jon's mobility or stability.

Jon fired off all but one shot in his chamber in his period of fire; Hilde didn't know that, but it might come of use later, when it got to a different stage of the spar.
holding his rifle steady, he ran his thoughts of what to do as he saw her charge again. His decision could be equivalent to that of a madman.
Winding up his right arm, Jon took the hardest punch he had ever mustered right at the shield; he put quite an amount of force behind it, but it was costly.
A loud 'ding!' rang off upon contact, but the amount of force sent through his right arm forced him back...
...onto the ground.
Not the best call on his part.
The connecting hit dazed him as he fell backwards, though he was able to get back up, it left him unable to gain any upper hand on his opponent as he got back up. His revolver and rifle were still not reloaded and had risky levels of ammunition left in their chambers, from what he could recall.

Hilde registered the punch, noting the armor's so called 'power'. But, Jon wasn't as steeped in melee as Hilde, and she pressed on aggressively. She was not in the business of letting him get up either- she begun hitting him over and over with the mace. There was little technique to such a weapon, aside from smashing an armored foe's helmet or joints.
She decided to keep Jon grounded by pummeling the knee she initially struck, knowing he would more easily and likely defend himself from attacks to the chest of face.

Jon had a harder time of it, getting hit began putting pressure on him; the armor easily blocked off the hits, but at this rate the suppression would begin to take a physical toll on him, and her hitting his knees again didn't help that.
However, her reckless swinging signaled to Jon that she didn't know just how capable he actually was in a melee; recognizing one of her swings, he grabbed the mace on its upswing with his left arm, and pulling himself up to a sitting position, and with an unblocked side, sent a straight jab at her left side with his right hand.

Hilde took the hit and it connected well, the power armor helping to overcome her own protection. "A solid blow!" She said as she visibly staggered. She retaliated with a shield slam to the sitting Jon's face to disorient him, followed by a mace blow concealed by the shield kept in Jon's face.

Jon smiled behind his helmet as he saw Hilde's reaction, only to immediately fall back to avoid the shield blow.
He didn't expect the mace on his second way back up, however, and he felt his head ring quite a bit as he came up...
...but it was a blessing in disguise for him. As the blow knocked him into a rolling backflip that got him back on his feet, though unfocused.
Now seperate from Hilde, he drew up his hands in a form he was taught all those years ago, an Ionian martial art he had only trained with, but was going to now employ in a spar. The hand and arm positions looked odd to anyone who never used them, but to Jon, this was just another technique vs weapons approach.
"Nǐ liǎojiě yǒng chūn quán?"
"...ugh, pardon my native language. It'd be best for you to have a blade from here on out. I'll let you get one if you need to do so."

"A blade? against heavy armor? I think not." Hilde responded. She did however, discard her shield, and now hefted her mace with both hands. She gave up defense for better control, speed and power with that weapon.
"Unless you have something else in mind?" She quipped, wondering what was Jon thinking at this point. She also let the disorientation of the bludgeoning attacks slowly set in.

Jon gave off a small nod, before giving a brief explanation.
"Well, you might have noticed, but I can fight with just my body. I won't be trying to attack you though, but merely seeing how long you can last." In the interim, he shook his head, and subsequently recovered his focus.
It was time to demonstrate the capability of an Ionian Art.
"Now... Huòqǔ yīxiē!"

Hilde had no time for learning how she could be defeated by an unarmed man.
"Quaint." Hilde put her thumb and index finger to her mouth and whistled sharply. The thunderous gallop of hooves would call out Jon's attention, as the warhorse had eventually recovered and was once again thundering towards him to kick him down, for payback for shooting her.
...and Hilde joins the melee once Jon was occupied fighting off the war animal, attempting to flank him and deliver a solid blow to his head, now using both hands with that mace for a much stronger blow.
No one said Hilde was an honorable knight, after all...
