Mai grinned playfully, "That mean I'm chasing you?" She teased with a soft blush reaching her cheeks. She'd allow him to keep hold on her hand if he did, not seeming to mind it at all. With a curious glance at the key card, she'd tilt her head and would watch the lock pop open. "Oh-ho, tricksy one." She'd glance around quickly before hurrying inside hoping they managed to escape detection.
"Huh." She pondered, "If you think we're safe here, we could grab a drink. They serve sake, right?" The Ionian questioned as she'd straighten her clothing a bit - regardless of how worn they really are. As she turned, she'd take in the place a bit more with a glance upward at the ruckus from above. A small grin resting on her lips.
"That idiot thinks I'm some brat named Rebecca?" She questioned, more to herself, "Man.. And here I thought I'd managed a reputation in Piltover." Poking her tongue out playfully, "Guess I'll need to work harder at it."
Jon listened to the man speak before doing his final actions himself.
"Matter of fact, a booth is right here," he remarked, pointing to an odd-looking electronic board with a miniature map of the region. Put in the address, and the booth will light the pathway to the destination for you."
"Well, I myself must be on my way, for there is a meeting I must prepare myself to attend, so good luck on your chase; although you should also expect to have the official force in on it as well," he said, before giving a nod of respect, turning around, and heading back home.
Victus entered the booth and, after five minutes of trying to figuring out how the thing worked, retrieved directions towards these secret places. He wasted no time and ran to the nearest one.

Twisted Fate smiled, "Now cheri Ah' never said Ah was the yordle. Did Ah?" He said before as he looked at the stairs, which they would soon go up. He then turned back to her to answer her questions, "A criminal is never ever safe round' here. Yer' 'just not caught' yet, but Ah think we ought ta' have lost yer' tail."
He began to think about the drinks this bar mindlessly tapping his chin, "Well Ah ain't so sure, but Ah reckon' if Piltover ever trades with Ionia, they ought ta' have it. Course' Ah don't know nothin' bout' what Piltover wants."
Twisted Fate began to walk up the stairs, "Ah reckon' ya' don't ought ta' worry bout' yer' reputation. Anyone who gets out of Piltover..is gonna get noticed." He pushed open the door to reveal a rather rowdy bar. Many of the patrons were obviously drunk a few looked Mai up and down, one whistled, while the rest were busy drinking or playing games. Twisted Fate took a moment to add, "Don't mind them they ain't gonna try much. Probably too drunk ta' even think about it." The sound of glass breaking could be heard as another patron smashed a glass over someone's head.
Twisted Fate led, while still holding her hand, Mai to a much more peaceful corner of the bar, nodding at the bartender for him to ask about drinks. He let Mai take a seat before asking his first question, "So Mai, where are ya' from?" The gypsy eagerly waiting a response so he could figure out more about this rather mysterious woman.
"No, but doesn't mean you aren't worth chasing." She teased again looking somewhat sheepish as she did so. Mai wasn't the most flirty of people, but the gypsy intrigued her well enough. He certainly made this whole situation much more interesting.
"I've been in and out of Piltover plenty of times." She said with a big smile, "Nothing here scares me.." Except Vi.. and Caitlyn. Which she doesn't mention. After all, she doesn't want to look weak in front of TF. Being a pirate also meant not showing your weakness to fellow criminals.
At the hooting and hollering from various drunk patrols, Mai would turn to glance at the various people who took notice of her causing her to become somewhat flustered. She'd stay near T.F. even tightening her grip on his hand displaying a little discomfort despite his reassurance she was safe.
When they'd arrive to the bar, she'd glance back to T.F. and order a bottle of sake, "Share this with me and I might tell you." She offered, "You're buying though. As we agreed to before."

Twisted Fate smiled, noticing her tightening grip, before she sat down, "Yer're afraid of nothin' huh? Then why did ya' tighten yer' grip? Havein' no fears is rather foolish in mah opinions. Otherwise ya' would never know when ta' run, which ya' clearly know how ta' do." He explained, but would not go to the point of calling her a liar. That would be rude, but at this same time the bartender came over with the bottle of sake. It seems Mai was in luck, and at her comment of buying the drink he just left out a soft chuckle.
He poured Mai and himself a drink before answering, "Of course Ah'm buyin' it would be rude ta' the fair lady if the gentleman did not pay fer' her drink." He took the first drink and then looked at Mai. It was a different taste, but he didn't mind it all that much. He put the cup down before adding, "If the fair lady would grace me with more bout' her this gentleman would appreciate it."

"Heh. Well.." She'd use the bottle of sake to distract herself from the talk of fears. For the moment she went quiet, but would soon begin to drink down the sake offered to her, "What do you want to know?" She asked, leaning back against the bar with her hand slowly unraveling from his. Her cheeks seeming to redden slightly at the fact, even a bit reluctant to pull away.
Turning, Sky focused on the drink at hand and shrugged softly, "Not much to tell.. I was born in Ionia. Traveled around the world in an airship.. Caused havoc, and wandered after a while.." A frown tugged at the edges of her cheeks as she thought back to other things that had occurred, but she'd dismiss it quickly, "What about you? What's your story?"
Post by The Cardmaster on Feb 2, 2013 19:50:06 GMT -5
Twisted Fate listened to Mai give her story, however he could not help the feeling that she was hiding something. The first hint was the reluctance to pull away, but the second was the frown that tugged at the edge of her fair face. However he choose not the press the issue, while he would like to know more...it was perhaps more polite for the gentleman to introduce himself.
"Me huh? Well Ah was born ta' a poverty stricken gypsy mother n' father. Ah had to fight fer' survival. Each day a struggle, but eventually Ah tried mah hand at cards, n' then Ah struck it rich. Ah made mah first name fer' myself, which is what everyone calls me now: 'Twisted Fate'" The Cardmaster took a drink, "Then eventually Ah became a conman, n' the most wanted man in all of Valoran." He bragged as he took a moment to decide what he wanted to censor.
"After all that Ah still wanted more. Ah wanted fame, money, and most importantly....magic." He explained, "Eventually Ah happened ta' come cross' a deal in which Ah volunteered fer' an experiment n'...well now Ah got mah magic n' Ah'm a champion." He added, "What more could Ah ask fer'?"
The Cardmaster choose not to answer that question of what else could he want. Because...well a mystery was so much better than a lecture. Plus he would rather not commit to say what else he needed. After all why fold when Destiny still had so much more in store for him. Adventures! Women! Fame (or infamy depending on the point of view). Life is short and Twisted Fate intended to live it to its fullest.
Mai grinned a bit at the gypsy beside her with a light nod at his story. She'd never read his history - what the League had of him - so he was safe with his secrets for now. That doesn't mean Sky wouldn't figure them out, though! Her fingers curled around the sake bottle to refill her shot, and his before throwing it back easily, "Mmhm.. Conman hm? How do I know you aren't conning me now?" Smirking playfully as she'd push off the bar and circle around to the other side of him.
"Are you sure we're safe here?" She questioned, "But I guess even if we weren't, it'd just make things more fun hm?"
Post by The Cardmaster on Feb 5, 2013 22:20:19 GMT -5
"Maybe Ah am, or maybe Ah'm not. However, why would Ah want ta' con a pretty lady such as yer'self....unless of course ya' have somethin' worth connin'? Also don't ya' like a little danger? Life just ain't fun without a little risk takin." The Cardmaster said following Mai as she moved to the other side, of him.
He threw his head back and laughed at her question, "Cheri as Ah said before, one ain't free in Piltover, yer're just not caught yet. However, Ah'll tell ya' what should any authorities get in here, Ah already have a plan." He pointed a few men in the bar around them, "Those two over there in the corner are hotshots willin' ta' prove themselves. A few words will set them off at anyone Ah point at, more so considerin' how drunk they are. The three down the bar are bandits, Ah've seen em round' the wilderness before, n' they have no respect fer' the authorties." The Cardmaster said before taking another drink of sake.
Twisted Fate then pointed to the way they came in, "While the meatshields are keepin' whoever busts in distracted we take a secret passage outta here. Then..well ya' just escaped Piltover fer' the first time."
"Oh never said I didn't like a little danger." She said with a playful grin, "Just wondering if you really got this sorted or not. As for conning me - well, we'll see." She poured his sake and her own again, drinking it back easily, "I'm gonna assume you're smart enough to know when someone is worth conning."
Her violets flicked about as TF motioned to the various people. She'd take note of them, and their faces, remembering the little mentions he added in his plan, "Well, sounds good. But I'd be more interested in seeing it happen." She said, feeling rejuvenated enough to keep up the cat and mouse game they had going with her pursuers.

The bar quieted instinctively as loud footsteps approached. They all knew that no dishonest man walked that loudly, or wore steel boots. There came a knock on the door. One of the bigger men who helped run the bar went to the door.

Twisted Fate heard the steal footsteps and smiled, "Well cheri ya' ought ta' be careful of what ya' wish fer'. After all round' me, they might just come true....that goes fer' the ones ya' have yet ta' tell me too." The added part was an obvious jab at the fact she blushed....a lot. He drew two cards. The first being a regular playing card that turned blood red and a sword appeared on it. The other was a tarot card of The Devil, which he placed on top of the other.
This combination would mix the two cards power. Primarily the red card's splash effect, and the Devil's aggressive behavior. Those touched by the splash, would gain a sudden desire to hit somebody...or something. On the weaker minded it would last for....five to six minutes, but to those who were determined it would last for three to four.
The bigger man opened the door allowing Victus to enter, and directly within his line of sight. While the man did not want to let Victus in, the tough armored knight look can go a long way.
Directly in his line of vision sat Twisted Fate and Mai, "Well well look who it is. Did ya' not find yer' princess at the local brothel? Course, the way ya' hide yer' face maybe not even the women there would dare ta' touch ya'!" The Cardmaster baited. This caused the men in the bar to turn their heads at the gypsy looking at him as though he was crazy, but Twisted Fate had a wide smile. If Victus either charged or approached, Twisted Fate would toss the enhanced Devil card at his feet as Victus neared the group of three armed bandits. The card itself was easy to dodge, but what about the splash effect?

Victus's glare scanned the room, find his quarry sitting at a table drinking...something and smiling.
"Last chance, Twisted Fate. Let me do my job, and I will let you do whatever your excuse for work is. You know Demacian knights, gypsy. I am Oathsworn of Demacian House Brightblade. This woman has nothing to fear from me. I only want to take her to Demacia if she is my target. Until Rebecca Silverheart reaches the hands of Jarvan's justice, no harm will befall her without my attempt to stop it."
He began to walk forward. His blade was sheathed, but Victus's hand was inching closer to the hilt over his shoulder.
"Gypsy this, gypsy that~" Sky teased as she grabbed the bottle of sake and simply started to chug it down, before handing the remaining amount which was far less then the share she just chugged, over to TF to finish off.
"Y'know, tin can.. You're getting awful annoying." Her fingers pinched within the edge of her kimono to grasp onto another origami, a wide smile on her lips, "Unless you want someone to get hurt, you should turn and walk your ass right back out those doors. Guaranteed, that armor won't do you any good if its scorching hot."
"Wanna know what I think about Demacia and their do-gooder Prince?" She'd pull her lower eyelid down and poked her tongue out at Victus, raspberrying in his direction, "Nyah-nyah~" Straightening with a mischievous grin, "Go suck on a roach. Probably the only ass you'll ever get. Same goes for that Prince of your's."
Post by The Cardmaster on Feb 7, 2013 23:06:43 GMT -5
Twisted Fate drank the last bit of sake before looking at Victus once more, "Ya' know...you Demacians have an odd way with words. Ya' said she is safe if she is yer' target...but if not....then what? Oh wait, Ah know the answer ta' that. Some unjustifiably cruel punishment fer' her cause' she is a criminal." He said as he readied his card before adding, "N' that just ain't as fun as a barfight." With that statement Twisted Fate threw the card in his hand, and it nailed the bandit in the middle. The card splashed out, but rather than be thrown around...the bandits froze. Then suddenly one of them hit the other, while another hit the bouncer of the bar. The bouncer threw his aggressor back into another patron, who then joined in on the brawl.
Twisted Fate stood on the stool and shouted, "BAR FIGHT!" He kicked a nearby patron over into another patron before jumping down onto the floor. He grabbed Mai's hand, "And now Cheri Ah show ya' how ta' escape Piltover."The gypsy said as he led her back to the basement where they were before.
Victus might find himself preoccupied with the two drunk hotshots. One was on his back trying to pull him to the floor, while the other waited to for a free shots to Victus' face. When Victus dealt with these two...he would find the rest of the bar in a brawl that he would have to make his way through.
Meanwhile in the basement Twisted Fate led Skylark to a bookcase. He opened up a blue book with a golden binding on it. He flipped through many pages to the middle of the book, there was an empty space meant for a deck of some sort. Twisted Fate removed a fresh tarot card deck and placed it into the hole on the page. There was a sudden scrapping as though something was moving across the stone floor. Once the bookshelf there was an old mining tunnel, given from the equipment that littered the ground in some areas, "After you cheri." He said bowing slightly and gesturing to the door.
