Teemo salutes both ninjas, though he quickly realizes a possible error and replaces the salute with a humble bow. "Thank you again for your help. I don't think there's anything we need to ask now that Kennen can't answer later. We better get moving, though. Don't want that assassin getting word that we're here."
The scout captain looks back at his men, none of whom had bothered to bow as well. He nudges Titus, who is standing next to him, and motions for everyone to follow suit. Only a few get the hint at first, but soon all of the scouts are awkwardly giving bows of their own, some better than others.
It had been a long and arduous journey through the landscape of Ionia. The island was vast in its own way. and filled with thick forests, jungles and growth. It was a naturally beautiful place indeed, but this inhibited travel a great deal. Weeks had passed since Riven had made her journey through Coeur, and now, she stood in front of the rumored location of the Sanctuary of the Kinkou Order.
Her amber gaze could see the buildings through the trees, hear the sounds of trainees practicing their arts in the distance. However, the Exile did not move forward. She waited. The Kinkou were masters of perception and stealth. Though she had not seen them, she knew, and could feel, that the eyes of their scouts were upon her for the last couple days. She did not wish to impose upon the Triumvirate. If they wished to talk, they would come to her...
So, she made a small camp near the outskirts of the sanctuary, cooked a meal of an Ionian rabbit, and waited.
(( I'm still here and waiting, guys. I literally have nothing else going on right now and need to talk to some of you Ionian folks before I can move forward with Riven at all. So...kinda waiting on you guys. ))

((Sorry, kinda forgot about your end.))
Perhaps one should just consider it but another day, another day where the sun falls and the moon rises. If, matters from faraway distances didn't present them self to the ever balanced equation that is within the twenty four hour of a day, Shen's daily routines would still be maintained in all it's diligence.
The scouts presented him with information, information that drove him to his feet. For if such news was true, then he should do the courtesy of paying a fellow champion within the league, a visit, albeit, a visit not far from home.
Shen treads the stove paved stairs down from the temple, there is much to know from the Exile, should the Exile be willing to share them. For no reason could she present herself to Ionia with malevolent intentions and if his perception of the woman be true, then she might just be a hand to Ionia's defensive cause.
It wasn't too soon until he noticed that familiar colour of silver grey, an Ionian rabbit was being roasted before her. Shen approached Riven steadily and begun to spoke. But not before taking another glance at the rabbit she's roasting.
"You might want to cook another species, those ones are a dying breed."

Normally Riven had a sort of sixth sense when it came to noticing opponents approaching her. It had been honed from spending ages in the wilds and having to be wary of the slightest sound. This has served her well in the war, though to a lesser extent as it hadn't been as finely hewn. Regardless, Riven didn't even detect the ninja approaching her until she spotted him out of the corner of her eye. His footfalls were so amazingly silent he seemed almost like a ghost. They were detectable, as any sound was, but they were so faint she could hardly make them out against the background sound of the crackling campfire and training going on beyond stone walls. As he spoke, her attention turned to the rabbit as he spoke.
"This one was old and slow. It would have died to something else if not for my meal." Her amber eyes turned to regard the Kinkou. "The younger, sprightlier ones are too fast for me to catch without a trap, but the older ones always seem to avoid them. Experience, perhaps." She offered a faint, amused smile. "Funny how life seems to balance itself out at times...isn't it, Eye of Twilight?"
Riven sighed and continued to prepare her meal in the skilled way only someone who has done it countless times could. Each movement was careful and precise, unrushed, but quick and efficient. "I was wondering how long it would take your scouts to notify you of my arrival, not that I was hiding. I'd felt their presence tracking my moves for the past few days. They're very skilled at what they do." She placed a few piece of meat onto sharpened pieces of wood to cook over the fire before she looked again to Shen.
"That said, I assume you have many questions to ask..."

((And once again I got caught up with matters. Apologies once again are in order))
To consider the figure before him to notice his presence before he had shown it would be exaggerating, but as with all champions of the league it seems, the years of experience in life and death situations have but made many too observant of the shadows and silhouettes that their concealed profession is meant to be proficient in.
Perhaps most especially, those who dabbled in the art of war, to the Eye of Twilight, the Exile before him is still fight her own personal war and ever as diligent in regards to such a matter.
But what is war without victory? The fear and distraught brought by cruelty had tipped the scales and broke the equilibrium in which both sides reinforces. Noxus obtained their advantage, through Science. The very presence of science itself made her honor an ambiguity.
Perhaps the state of Ionia would of suited her better, only the fundamental differences between her and the Ionian state being that her honor lie on the battlefields, and Ionian's lie within the vast cultural heritage that was to be conquered and utilized to reinforce and create value for ones own.
Despite all the matters coursing through his head, he gave very little words to the Exiles before him in response.
"Your very presence here answers many questions, already."

(( It's okay. A little heads-up would be nice now and then so I'm kept in the loop, but, trust me, I do understand life getting in the way of things. Had some troubles myself recently. So it's all good. ))
Riven nodded. "I suppose it might. After all, you've no doubt been aware of the Noxian forces assisting the Shadow Master and his disciples." She sighed, watching the flames lick at the meal cooking before her. "It does not take a tactical genius to determine the plans behind such a thing. Swain speaks of peace, yet aligns himself with a force much opposed to the current peaceful rulership of Ionia. What, exactly, is peaceful about that, I would ask..."
Her amber gaze trailed up to the ninja. It was a rhetorical question that required no answer. Certainly the man knew of such things. The Kinkou were directly opposed to Zed and his group of shadowy assassins, after all. "The Kinkou value balance in all things, none more than yourself, Eye of Twilight." She bowed faintly in her sitting position as a show of respect. "That is why I have come here." Riven stood, exhaling as she did and stretched her tired legs before letting her gaze land on the ninja once more.
"I've come seeking a way to balance the odds somewhat..." She crossed her arms and continued. "Simply stated, I oppose Swain. I oppose the direction in which he leads Noxus... Yet, I am just one person." She shook her head. "One person cannot fight an army of blinded nationals willing to sacrifice everything for their cause. And, as much as I would wish to avoid conflict, it is only a matter of time before I will be forced to draw my blade for my own ideals. Only a fool would think otherwise..." Riven seemed saddened by that thought, her face dropping faintly and her brow knitting in worry.
"When that time comes...I will fight." Her eyes met Shen's, her determination and steadfast resolve showing in her gaze. "It's all I can do. However, I know that if I fight alone, I will eventually be killed, no matter how much I train myself. One body can only contain so much strength of spirit before it reaches its limit, and one cannot hold off impossible odds forever." She paused a moment to allow her words to sink into the mind of the man before her before she continued.
"I believe Swain and his goals pose a threat. Not just to Noxus or Ionia, but to Valoran and Runeterra itself. If not directly, than indirectly by means of the untold levels of death and suffering that await as a result of his actions." She shook her head. "We've been torn apart by war for hundreds of years before the League came to be. The people of Runeterra need this peace, to live, to grow, and to flourish." With a sigh, Riven collected herself and spoke again.
"But, I digress. Swain supports Zed and his assassins, and as such, I will stand to support the Kinkou and the League against any advances made by Noxus. All I would ask of the Kinkou, Eye of Twilight, is support of myself if or when I am forced to fight against Noxus and Swain, and you need not bring your blades either..." She huffed in mild amusement. "I've since learned how powerful politics are in these matters, and if Swain has any honor at all, I do not think he would have me killed so easily, lest he risk turning me into a martyr for my beliefs."
"So, what do you have to say about that, Eye of Twilight?"

((Well, that sure is a relief to me who isn't keeping up to schedule with those posts... Glad to hear that you are plotting something else at the same time.))
The azure ninja stood patiently as he listens to every single word that have been uttered by the Exile, paying attention to details and to see if Riven herself would more information onto the table. What she has spoken are not unheard of. Information that scouts for the Kinkou have gathered throughout the whole entire shady affair between Zed's Order of Shadow and the regime of Noxus as of now, under the leadership of Swain.
Through Shen ponders on the possibility that Riven might serve as a catalyst by being present in Ionia, how she might amplify Noxian actions are unknown to him, but if his presumption stands true, then Noxus might not really, make much of a move at all in response to what they consider "trivial". Not that the Kinkou would form such a presumption after meeting such a fearsome figure on field of justice, her prowess with the blade contains volume.
Is the Ionian Government with also the Kinkou Order now involved unmeasurable against the forces of Noxus and Zed's Order of Shadow? The Ionian invasion that has occurred before hand has sure brought many scars onto their home state. The land twisted and bended beneath them and many have lost what couldn't be recovered to the iron fists of the Noxian empire.
He has seen man being driven to paths of no return, the arrow of retribution's hate and fury contained within his every shot and hating glare. To say that it didn't make him re-evaluate his idea of the Ionian war would be stretching.
Many would stand and fight to the death for the survival of Ionia, that is without dispute. But statistics will never lean towards their favor, Noxian's territorial span means the great number of infantries in their proposal, what they have is also.. Information due to their now localized information gathering center with the particular assistant of who he once called ally, Zed.
Numbers not counter-able by talent and talent that are also lacking in numbers. At least, not according to the unfavorable news being brought about by his information gatherers. Soldiers are but one way of measuring a city-state's power. But they are also lacking in champions. If Riven would assist Ionia, it would be his decision to make, not within the violation of boundaries in regards to balance.
Shen would give a slight bow to the Exile before him before presenting Riven with a favorable answer to her.
"You suggested your points thoroughly and offered promising terms. Might your temporary residence in Kinkou while matters are discussed seem more preferable then out in the wild?"
Riven smiled faintly. The affirmative answer was one she'd hoped to hear. "Your offer of hospitality is well-received, Eye of Twilight. However, I am certain that the Shadow Master's eyes will be watching. If my presence here becomes a danger to you, your students, or the rest of the Kinkou, I will take my leave." She sighed.
"I've brought enough violence and danger to this land already... Knowingly bringing more to your doorstep is something I couldn't do...even if I must face the dangers that come to me alone in the wilds." Noxus may have been a common enemy of them both, now, but that didn't mean Riven wished to drag Shen, Akali, Kennen, and the rest of Ionia into a conflict because of her presence or actions. She waited for the Eye of Twilight's reply.

"This conflict if according to my estimation will last longer then months, years even, if Swain's diplomatic ways manage to sway and bend the will of the Ionians that have lived on this land for as long as time can foretold, through such a possibility is slim."
Shen paused slightly before continuing on his analysis.
"But Ionia have made compromises before and no one can guarantee that the Elder Council wouldn't place that maneuver into order should the first defense line fail, in this case, us who is directly engaged in warfare against the Order of Shadow itself."
The Eye of Twilight spoke in pace, before he sat himself down the opposite end of the burning fire before him. The dead rabbit being roasted.
"A ninja's will should not be underestimated, the scouts under the Kinkou's command would never waver in their performance or duty, as such, you can expect the same of Zed's disciples. Your very arrival itself, probably would of already arrived in the ears of Zed himself by now. That is perhaps not a presumption, but a certain reality."
The azure ninja would wait out patiently for her response.
Riven nodded after a moment of silence. The ninja was right. It was possible Zed and his shadowy forces already knew of her location. He might have been following her movements ever since she set foot on Ionian soil for all she knew. Still, though, she was safe enough, she supposed. The man would be foolhardy to attack her unprovoked. Doing anything of the sort to another champion, especially one opposed to his allies, would only serve to make his cause look more hostile. She sighed.
"Your words ring true enough, Eye of Twilight." She looked again to the cooking rabbit, deciding it was done. She pulled it free from the spit and went about tasting a few small bits of it. "However, if my actions bring any outright danger to you and our people, I will leave. I will not allow myself to be a burden for anyone else, or cause suffering for others so long as I am able to help such things." She looked again to Shen.

April 12th, 23 CLE
The Exiled has taken temporary residence within the Kinkou Order, to say that she didn't attract curiosity would be lying, but the initial wave of such emotions died down as the daily exercise and matters begun taking their hold once more, to Shen's "delight".
However, she departed on the 12th of April, today, presumably in the local vicinity, but nevertheless, he didn't see her for the day and the azure ninja sat within the thinking chamber, below the tip of the tower, to reflect and think, also to meditate.
Kennen is presumably still working alongside Teemo's squadron of bandle city Yordles. While Akali waits for the Master of Shadow in the outer area of their sanctuary. They are not with him, he sits in the chamber alone, meditating.
Later that day, Shen went through the barracks, the reflex training chamber, the hay straw field of blade mines. A thought came to him earlier in the day.
What exactly happened within the chamber of their older temple? Zed had slain who he once called mentor, Shen's father by blood. But that anguish cry of hatred, despair, mixed along other emotions clouds Shen's judgment. Surely from the start, such a negotiation was of a difficult approach, they were taught to think fast, to be responsive, most importantly, to act first.
Who acted first? No one could answer the question, only the end of the equation is seen, head tumbled, temple ruined and ninjas fled. Was it a fair treatment? He couldn't answer, for he can't tell the will of the dead. Zed sought for other matters, it was clear. the idea of recognition. Which he wasn't given, such matters elevated him, his power and his ambition. He touched the box, he paid the price. it was a power that astonished him, surprised him, given him the idea of such forbidden techniques, the blade that lurks within the shadow.
His father spoke of Zed often, him learning from the box, his departure to the day of his return, such were the ideas of emotion and it was expressed clearly. Shen couldn't help but ponder as such, the unintentional and the intention of one in such undefined boundaries.
But he must bring the order further, to upkeep the values of equilibrium, that is the burden he bears, the burden he accepted and he lives to further them. But the thought leaves room for conversation, whether it is with words, or a cold edged blade that he will stab into the chest of the one he once called friend and brother in arms.
