Even more alarming news, if what their reconnaissance were saying proves to be true, then Shen would not only have to deal with the aftermaths of one of the Trinity, but also the Ionian guards who are steadily drawing themselves away from their region of operation, there is also more blank period of random activity occurring alongside their borders.
Somethings not right... Shen would attempt to retrace his last meeting with Irelia and the contents of their agreement to find there is one little intricate detail that Irelia would be needing right now. Shen quickly called for his scouts, the best of the best stand before him waiting orders, the ones that provided themselves fully to training and to their everlasting creed.
"I believe that it has been suggested that we are to keep our information exchange between us and the Ionian guards frequent... If the information provided is true, then there is something that requires urgent attention. In particular, Irelia needs to be told."
Shen would hand every individual present a letter, a letter that requires delivering, a letter containing the most recent discovery of the event that has occurred months ago. Shen believes that this information should be able to keep matters in check.
They were evidently provoked by something, no messages or information that were obtained from their reconnaissance team led to any conclusive results of a planned and strategic attack upon the Order of Shadows. Therefore, the only reasonable conclusion is that they were influenced by an outside force, what outside force could possibly benefit from this attack? The azure ninja believe the answer lies within the clear benefactor of this assault.
Shen would pace the room, thinking and placing puzzle pieces together, who would benefit the most out of this uprising other then the Noxian forces who are now provided with a suitable reason the ally themselves with the Order of Shadows, to utilize the fear and paranoia of a village to their tactical advantage?
The time to make a move draws near, the information they have at their disposal is enough to commit themselves to such actions. Balance, the compromised equilibrium of Ionia, to fix this issue, to fix an error that hasn't been corrected.
If only the Ionian guards would take more time to think...

Some things could not be taken out directly and Irelia knew the risks that she would take if she directly accused Noxus of the attack concerning the Hadoi village. Her words could drive Ionia into a circle of chaos and Noxus would certainly fight back her accusations and plant seeds of doubts in the minds of the Ionians.
But two can play at this game, Swain was not the only one with a tactician mind. Irelia had her own plans up her sleeves to gain Zed's trust and break his alliance with the Noxian regime, but it had to be taken slowly and carefully. Caution is required in the game she was about to tread in and she knew it all too well, hopefully Shen will understand her intentions and work along with her to finally get rid of the shadows casted upon Ionia. After all, they had to restore balance at all cost.
The Captain stood at the entrance of the Sanctuary and awaited for one of the Kinkou's ninjas to give her permission to come in.

Kennen walked calmy through the sanctuary, brooding over the state of the Scouts. His chin was buried in his chest, and he pinched the bridge of his nose with his left fingers. Since the Scouts had left, Kennen had realized a few more things he should've told them. But alas, it was too late now. He could only hope that they wouldn't completely botch the whole operation. If anyone ruins it, he thought to himself, it'll be that Titus guy.
As he passed the entrance to the sanctuary, he noticed Irelia standing outside. His mood perked up (in spite of the fact that the last time they met she seemed ready to rip him apart) and he walked over to her, smiling and waving. "Hiya, Irelia!" he said cheerfully, "What brings you here?"
Post by Heart of the Tempest on Jan 17, 2014 20:47:16 GMT -5
Seeing Irelia's stare, Kennen internally froze. Of course, she still wants to tear me apart. Externally, he was still chipper. "Well I figured that much." he said, rolling his eyes, "It seems like that's the main reason anyone ever comes here anymore. I just want to know why."

"You are treading on a dangerous path."
The azure ninja's silhouette would appear out of the sea of never ending trees, cherry blossoms that fades in and out of people's vision. There are those that matches the season and blossoms, those that doesn't matches the season are simply there, a common, unnoticeable sight in a field of silvery pink. The first thing that greeted the Ionian guard captain was not a friendly greeting, but an alarming gaze.
"I thought your expedition to the village, a village that has been lost to the catastrophe of war would be an example that would be far more efficient then our forces which lurk within the shadows..."
The ninja's posture would adjust slightly to fit a more diplomatic situation, as he continued to speak.
"But if you are here, then perhaps the tranquility can still be restored. The harmony that should of existed between light and darkness. I believe you came to sought such means."
Shen would show Irelia the way in his temple, a common display of courtesy no less. A week has passed from his last session within the meditation chamber, it appears, that the time to move, has come.

Kennen came close to blurting out a hasty explanation as to why he was holding up their esteemed guest, and how he had planned to escort her right to Shen ASAP, but instead he shut up and listened. He figured he'd be doing a lot of listening for a while. Listening for info in their discussion, listening to a bunch of political jargon. Listening to Irelia complain about my presence he thought, giggling. He quickly composed himself, however, and plodded quietly behind the duo.
After all, if it was a matter of balance, Kennen would likely be involved in one way or another.
Post by The Will of the Blades on Jan 18, 2014 6:30:41 GMT -5
Irelia followed as she listened to his words. Yes... The village did show some indications that worried Irelia about the involvement of Noxus in some way, not necessarily physical but political. The Captain followed Shen down the hallways and said in a rather calm voice. "I have been thinking of a plan to gain Zed's trust and break his alliance with Noxus... It is the only way that will allow us to reach him and to get rid of Noxus from Ionia's soil."
Post by The Eye of Twilight on Jan 18, 2014 11:07:35 GMT -5
"Speak your intention. Such is not a period of vulnerability, a time where an alliance is most easily breached."
Shen would stop his footsteps, as he turn around and faces The Will of the Blades. A plan that could essentially change the political landscape, if she is capable of delivering such a plan, then perhaps she would have more foresight then he imagined her to hold. A misjudgment of character? Or that someone associated with her is capable of steering her in a direction that's more preferable then the barren wasteland that will occur from the results of patriotism, led to the extremities.
"Our alliance, an alliance forged as a result from the unification of one mistake that we have made, to the city state that has caused the most chaos, whom would tip balance in their favor, to tip the scale of victory to their favor, no matter the cause, whom believes that the end justifies the means."
Yes, a most unlikely alliance at first, a result of circumstances, circumstances that is evidently enlarging itself to a different scale, to city states, battles waged by a nation, where death should spread it's wings, a swift stroke by the scythe of the Grim reaper, many lives taken. The most undesirable scenario is war, the constantly shifting and bending currents of diplomacy, trickery and brutality, a most uncontrollable beast that could only roar, but would never shut it's mouth.
Zed, Zed and his force of opposition, this is their conflict, a conflict that needs conclusion. The sooner the better. But perhaps Irelia needs clarification, the Noxian game is not their one to play, the Kinkou plays by their own rules.
"This soil is what gave us birth, to repay it, to maintain it, is forever a debt we own it. This is our repayment, we are uninterested in the politics involved, for our allegiance will not be delivered to the Ionian government on a priority basis, you will remember this. We are the deliverance of balance, the protector of tranquility, the terminator of all the destabilized. If you would open the door in front of you, to unleash chaos, discord, the product of war, to bring War. We will eliminate you."
Shen would give a slight bow and turn around before he continues this conversation, they have been idling far too long.
"But the government haven't failed this land yet... Nor have you."
A slight pause before the decision, his decision to listen.

As they kept on treading down the hallways, Irelia remained attentive to Shen's words as it seemed like he already knew what was roaming in her thoughts. The man was wise indeed and even the most unpredictable person could not escape his judgment. Irelia simply nodded, knowing fully well the job of the Kinkou and the fact that they have no allegiance to anything but Balance, and she respected that even though sometimes they view Balance in a different way.
"I fully understand your concern about a possible war in Ionia, Shen; Even I would not like to see the flames of such thing rise up on our beloved home, and I will do my best to avoid such outcome. As for my plans... I came here to ask you to set up a fake battle between my Guards, and your ninjas. There will be death and losses, but I suppose that such sacrifices are necessary for the sake of peace and balance. Beside, you even say that balance should be restored at all costs."
Her words took a halt as she thought again of the whole plan. She knew that Shen owed her nothing and could easily refuse to partake in her plans, but she thought that it would be worth to try nonetheless.
"I have spoken to Zed a few days ago and attempted to gain his trust in order to break his alliance with the Noxians. But as I predicted it, words are not enough and actions speak louder than my own voice. The point of this fake set up is to show Zed that I am willing to protect him from your order and gain his trust after repelling your attack from the Order of Shadows' temple, however, none of our men should know about this. We have to make sure that they fight as if we were enemies so that Zed could truly believe that I am standing by his side. And as soon as he gets rid of the alliance, knowing that he has an ally within the borders of Ionia, this will be our chance to move in and finally restore balance by either putting Zed back on the right path... or simply eliminate him."

Indeed, he had hope, hope that the Ionian guard captain would come up with something sufficient, but perhaps he hasn't misjudged her in the first place, she lacks the necessary tactical and planning skills to make something become a reality. Through luckily, she does seem to understand the situation and that will take her away from a tragic road that they will be forced to intervene. This would be one less deadly chemical taken away from the equation luckily.
"We will simply strike upon the Order of Shadows with our forces."
Shen would pause for a brief moment, so the message would sink into her brain.
"Your idea has plausibility, but you are oversimplifying matters, political matters that I had presumed you would have a deeper understanding of then us, who intends to steer away from such troubled currents."
Yes, the idea that Noxian forces wouldn't maneuver themselves accordingly to the strings that Irelia intends to pull and the amount of trust one could place into the profession that both he and his "brother" shared. Since when can a ninja be trusted?
"We will deal with Zed and his disciples directly, with our newly mustered forces and our gathered information."
Shen would walk away into the distance, but not before he offered words of advice that he sincerely hope that the Will of the Blades will follow. But indeed, with them or without them, they are waging this unholy crusade, this condemnable, hateable operation.
"Evacuate the villagers, monitor the Noxians... Stop us and them, if such causes of action must be taken, if such necessities arise where this purge, will unbalance our carefully established efforts."
"Play your part if need be, just remember, it doesn't concern us."

Irelia paid attention to the Eye's words and nodded. Although she felt frustration building up in her as he decided to go head on against Zed without her help; He was Noxus' ally after all, the enemy of Ionia, those who killed and murdered thousands of innocent people and dared to come back to Ionia by claiming they are helping Zed. Such a pathetic waste, and the mere thoughts of it grew rage inside Irelia's heart, a rage that was consuming her day by day until nothing is left and she decides to end the Noxians herself and make them flee from her homeland.
"Very well. We will keep a close eye on your battle and in if it goes over the lines, we will step in."

September 25th 23CLE
Finding Autumn itself slowly walking into Winter, slowly but surely. The Autumn wind could chill very much the bones of men and women who walk the fields and streets. Wind, it is sometimes aggressive, sometimes tranquil. But perhaps, the ronin soon to arrive will bear the elements of a hurricane, whether in it's urgency, speed or grievance.
He would seek them out? An unimaginable thing, a samurai would never find the work of a ninja to be noble in any sort, quite the contrary in fact and contrary it is. Albeit the fact that the Kinkou didn't align themselves to a man or a force of any sort, but instead, a concept. A concept that they've held on for quite so long. That is not to say that they weren't faced by hardship before, but they rebuilt, reconstructed their own temple and kept going.
Yasuo could of only came here to seek answers, a blade stuck in it's sheathe so long, that a man wouldn't even be able to draw it should he need to slash at an enemy. But when the enemy is no where to be seen, or heard, then the man would have to re-sheathe that blunt blade back into it's eroded sheathe, eroded by time and blood.
The azure ninja would depart from the meditating chamber, out of the refurbished tower, down the stone pavement steps surrounded by the sakura blossoms that would shift and bend with the wind, flowing into the distance, to drop into the ocean even, like an island in the midst of nowhere, but no man is an island.

The game of politics is a game that the azure ninja have been dabbling in over the past few weeks. It is not for him to suggest that it couldn't of been a time of great coincidence that he, who desired to march onto their ancient grounds and to reclaim it, was stopped dead in his tracks.
But now that the league has decided to step in, diplomacy have become the outcome and the process, he was ever there to present his side's best interests, though much of it, of course was their creed.
The cherry blossoms have just started awakening from their slumber, a pink flowing storm beneath him as he stares down by the stairs of rock and concrete that they have built from a work that had taken precedence:
The actions on the field of justice and their work with the league, public attention was what this order needed and that had given them precisely that, but with like the departing noxian state, the number of summons dwindled and they have been mostly focused contemplating state and territorial affairs.
But first things first, the Noxian forces stationed at Ionia and the Order of shadows come first. There is no future without fixing the present and this unbalance must be addressed. Shen retraces his step and ventures away from their entrance, back into the residence, back into the daily training routine.

October 15th 23CLE
Time and effort were spent in establishing and acquiring the villagers a foothold, villagers who they had evacuated from that day of fateful slaughter, plunging their blades into the heart of the accursed, their hands attached with strings, controlled like puppets with agitating words.
Building villages didn't fall into anyone's field of expertise within the Kinkou, the floor they stand on and the towering temple resting on their current soil was not a construct belonging to their own mind, designs of hired builders and workers combined with their own hard labor.
Shen bargained with the Elders. Settlements that fell into such spans of influence were unwise. Should residents be unable to set their territorial sentiments aside and to abandon what once they call home, this newly created environment of militarism and power lust will surely shift and bend them. Much like the assault on The Order of Shadow.
The Council was willing to part with a couple of their architects temporarily, but was reluctant to part with funds and workers which as it stands; is to be supplied by the Kinkou in the purchase of building material and steady hands which will sever wood and pave stones.
Months of construction took place and the village has been completed in the most basic form. With the migrating villagers assisting in the reconstruction, Shen would be able to gradually pull out men under the disposal of league sanctioned engineers and refresh them in the daily course of regime training.
Shifting to the training fields, a new batch of disciples stood tall and lean, alerted, attentive, waiting for a sound. With the sound of a swift hand striking down, figures faded, vaporizing into the shadows, what is to be heard is only the sound of footsteps tapping against the branches.
Beside the tree branches and flower petals on the stone pavement, the results of practice was coming into fruitation.
