Poppy glances towards the door as she hears the knock before returning to carving the decorations into the blade.
"The door is open, feel free to come inside."
If Teemo were to step inside, he would notice how dark the room was, everything filled with coal dust and the room was quite a mess due to it. Tools and such were in their places, but everything looked almost pitch black due to the dust. The room was also extremely warm and the forge was still burning at the end of the room.

Teemo's ears twitch as they pick up Poppy's voice, and he opens the door and enters. With a good sniff of the air the scout coughs a few times, not having expected the coal dust to make it all the way to the entry room. He quickly closes the door and covers his nose with one hand, holding the broken knife in his other hand. Poppy wasn't anywhere in sight, so he decides to call out to her.
"Hey Poppy! My good knife got a little broken up during my last mission so I came by wondering if you could fix it, or maybe make me a new blade. Where are ya?"
As he spoke, the scout made his way towards the forge room. His last question sounded very silly to him, considering she most likely was in there.

Teemo chuckles to himself. Of course she's in the forge again... He makes his way into the room, sweating from the more intense heat. The scout combs his fingers through the fur on his forehead and sets the knife down on a nearby table.
"Geez, you work under warm conditions. I guess it's better than office work, though. Well, here's the knife. Got any idea when I should come pick it up? And is it at all possible to fix the blade itself, or is it going to need a new one?"
Looking at the knife, the once proud six-inch steel blade had come loose from it's hilt and was broken into three large pieces and two fairly smaller ones. The hilt itself was fine, though.

Poppy looks over to Teemo as he enters the room.
"It is hard to shape metal without some heat, now isn't it Captain? And let's see here..."
She looks at the hilt and the pieces of the small blade, her expression sharp and determined as usual.
"By the looks of it, it would be better to simply recreate the blade itself. Reforging those pieces would make the metal more brittle and easier to break again. The hilt is in near-perfect condition however. It will take a day or two to finish it however, especially since I am in the middle of finishing a commission I was given three days ago.
Creating a sword from nothing takes some time after all, and doing it so it has a theme even longer. I personally do not understand why someone would wish a colored blade... the only way to do so is paint the blade, but the blade will be more dull and the paint will chip off easily in combat."
She then turns back to the blade she's working and continues slowly and carefully carving shapes into it's flat side.

Teemo taps his chin, glancing over at the sword Poppy was working on.
"Painting the whole blade...? Wouldn't you want to just paint up to just before the edge in order to keep it sharp? ...oh well, you're the expert. I'll be back in two days then. No need to rush it or anything."

Teemo folds his arms and sighs.
"Yeah... something like that. You'd probably never believe what I had to do on my last mission a few days ago. Then again, I can't really tell you what happened, can I? It's top secret, but hopefully things turn out for the better. It's also the reason my knife has been... pretty much shattered. How's your vacation so far?"

Poppy takes the carefully and masterfully created hilt of the blade she was working on in her hand and looks at it.
"It has been... peaceful. Believe it or not, I find the warmth of the forge and the shaping of metal to be quite relaxing. I used to spend so much time here years ago... barely ever left the smithy back when my father was still alive."
She then throws the hilt to Teemo.
"Would you mind giving me your opinion on the hilt. Is it balanced properly? Does the quality seem alright?"

Poppy catches the hilt and looks at it for a moment before answering.
"I am not sure. I was kind of hoping you could help me identify this person. A naval officer who likes celestial bodies and cosmic themes. Do you know anyone like this?"
She then places the hilt on the table and grabs the blade waiting for coloring, taking it to another table on the other side of the room. The table is organized well, a great selection of brushes on one side and a few small paint buckets at the end of the table.

Teemo chuckles slightly and rolls his eyes.
"Oh, I'd put my money on admiral Titus. The extraterrestrial seems to be his favorite subject of all things."
The scout leans back against the wall and fans himself with his helmet gently, turning uneasy for a moment before taking a deep breath and looking at Poppy again.
"Hey Poppy, did you know Veigar before the Noxian goons took him away so many years ago?"
Post by The Iron Ambassador on Feb 24, 2013 19:41:14 GMT -5
Poppy spins around and faces Teemo, raising an eyebrow at the Scout Captain.
"Veigar? I cannot say I did. I barely ever left the smithy back before that time. I barely knew what you all looked like... now that I think about it, I guess I never was a "Normal yordle". Always somehow... different. In one way or the other. Are you concerned about the so-called "Tiny Master of Evil" Teemo?"
Post by The Swift Scout on Feb 24, 2013 19:49:32 GMT -5
Teemo shrugs and turns his head away, feeling stupid for the idea he was about to suggest.
"I... guess you could say that. I mean... couldn't we have done more to try and free him? What if somehow we could bring him to peaceful terms and have him come back as a good yordle again? If it's at all possible, wouldn't that take off a lot of the tension he brings?"
Post by The Iron Ambassador on Feb 25, 2013 4:47:26 GMT -5
Poppy nods and looks over to Whomper that is leaning against the table next to Teemo for a moment.
"If it was possible... yes. But from what I've seen, the Noxians drove him completely insane. Once a mind is broken... there is nothing in the world currently that can fix it. I should know... do you remember what I was like before that fateful trip to Demacia that cost my father his life? I barely remember what I was like back then... and I doubt that I will ever be like that again.
Trauma changes a person forever, and that is exactly what Veigar went through. Solitude and imprisonment are quite dangerous for the mind of a yordle. Perhaps if the professors over at Piltover or the summoners of the League make some sort of... breakthrough, it could be possible to return Veigar to his previous state, but currently there is nothing that can be done for him, in my opinion."
