He chuckles and smiles at Teo. Then he points to the flute in Teo's hand and sits right beside him on the tree stump. For Yoshi, music can soothe anyone. Maybe Teo can soothe himself and get comfy with Yoshi.
Teo looks up at Yoshi, then down at his flute again. He nods.
"Okay."
The young bard brings his flute to his lips, taking a quick breathing before beginning another song. As he plays, it's as if a cloud passes over the sun and darkens the area. Dripping can be heard, as if there is a light drizzle of rain coming down, but none can be seen. When the song is over, the lighting would return to normal and the rain would go away, and Teo's eyes would be closed with a single tear rolling down his cheek.
Yoshi smiles a bit in relaxation when Teo starts playing. But relaxation turns to wonder as he saw his entire view darken. He looks up to the sky but there was no cloud. He could hear the dripping of water but there was no rain.
Oh my gosh...
By the time Teo finished his song, he could notice a single tear rolling down on his cheek. He softly wipes the tear away from his eyes and whispers to him as if in silent awe.
Teo doesn't react to the touch this time, only slightly opening his eyes after the hand is removed. His eyes were glowing a faint yellow color, but it soon faded and his eyes returned to their normal state. In a quiet, depressing tone, he whispers the word just loud enough for it to reach Yoshi's ears.
Yoshi nods at Teo, understanding what he's feeling. He looks around the forest and finds it lonely. The sun may be out and it may be a pleasant morning with the sun's rays shining all the way to the forest floor. But he wonders why Teo is alone...and depressed. He gently pats his back and rubs it to show friendship and whispers to Teo.
His voice trails off when Teo turns his head away. Then he realizes that he really might be alone. Where are his parents? His friends? His family? Why is he alone in the forest? He tries to reach for Teo's chin so that he could attempt to gently turn his head over. Yoshi's voice is soft and concerning.
Teo's eyes widen at the question, a faint gasp escaping his lips. Memories come flooding back, flashbacks moving past his eyes. The yellowish glow returns to them as tears well up, and he grimaces with a shake of his head.
"I-I... don't kn...know... They s-sent me away... when the N-Noxians inv-vaded."
Teo's ears droop and he sighs, the whimpering coming to and end but tears still trailing across his cheeks.
"M-my parents... were going to protect Ionia from... the Noxian invasion. They hid me on a cargo ship and... th-that's all I can remember about them."
The little yordle reaches into his ragged shirt and pulls out a pendant that is tied around his neck. In the center is a picture depicting a young yordle couple dressed in Ionian garb, and between them is held a fuzzy yordle baby wrapped in silk cloth. Teo stares silently at this photo for some time, a few tears dripping down onto it.
Teo's tears run down slowly and sorrowfully and Yoshi too wants to cry as well. But he holds his tears, not wanting to cry. Still, his voice grow weak and more questions from his mouth may only serve to hurt the two more.
"But Teo...you have a great talent. Who would hate you for that?"
Who would really hate music? Could Teo be shunned from society? Whatever it is, Yoshi knows that his heart has grown heavy. Yoshi is there to lift him up.
