Teo looks down, a little disappointed with the fact. He'd never been fond of his ancestry. It had caused him to lose his family, his home, and any chance at having a normal life. The thought leaves him without an appetite, and he grips the back of Yoshi's pants in order to stay behind him. Being social was a foreign idea for him.
Yoshi can feel the tug from Teo and it seems that he's very shy. He gently escorts Teo to the food buffet. He gives Teo a plastic plate, spoon and fork so that he could start grabbing some food.
The little yordle grimaces, not entirely sure how true Yoshi's words are. He reluctantly takes the plate and fork, but after looking at the buffet there really wasn't anything he wanted so he puts them back. It'd been years since he'd eaten anything that was an animal products, and even though the smell was good, it wasn't enough to build up an appetite. Instead, Teo grabs a biscuit with both hands and looks at it with a sigh. It would be rude to not accept the offer, so he slowly nibbles away at the pastry, feeling a bit guilty.
Yoshi felt sympathy when Teo is all alone in the forest with no one around. But grabbing just a biscuit and nothing else...is he not that hungry? He takes Teo's kitchen utensils and looks at him.
Teo slightly tilts his head up towards Yoshi before lowering it and the biscuit even lower, away from the other yordle. He gives a gentle shake of the head to show his negative response and sighs.
Nervously Teo lowers his hands a little and looks at Yoshi's legs, still not brave enough to make eye contact.
"Uh... o-okay..."
He crosses his ankles and looks down at the biscuit in his hands. His appetite hadn't built up in the slightest, and even though the food was really good he couldn't help but feel a little guilty for eating it.
Yoshi seats next to Teo and starts eating with his fork. The bacon Horatio prepared is the best and it is always the first thing Yoshi eats before anything else. When Yoshi is half way through the plate, he looks down at Teo but Yoshi can only see the little boy's head. Yoshi knows that Teo's shy and is probably not proud that he's eating the band's delicious food. It was only a biscuit, but why feel guilty about it?
To make him feel comfy, Yoshi gently rubs Teo's back in a circular motion. He intends to encourage Teo in any good way he can.
At first Teo shivers a little when Yoshi approaches, freezing when his back is rubbed. The feeling was very foreign to him, and it scared him. With the biscuit still held up to his mouth with both hands, the little yordle whimpers faintly and slowly looks to his side, wide-eyed. Eventually, though, the feeling starts to sooth him and he leans into the bigger yordle, still shivering in fear but closing his eyes to ease into the rubbing.
Teo blinks his eyes open a little, looking towards Yoshi's chest that he's laying on. The idea intrigued him. After a few moments of thought, the young yordle nods, never removing the biscuit from his lips.
At the snap of Yoshi's fingers, several members of the Bandle City Band congregate together with their instruments. At the tap of Yoshi's baton, the brass instruments blare in a jovial melodic music.
Yoshi and the audience sway their bodies side to side at the beat of the music. People gather to their random partners and start dancing around as if it's an evening gala. Once the music procession is over, Yoshi looks at Teo with a beaming face coming out of him.
