Lt. Hixon and the Machine gun teams held their fire as they saw the Void move across the open fields. As the HEMGs were easily the weapons with the longest range on this battlefield, they would engage first, but even then Baker Squad held it's fire; they wanted to be sure that their guns would do maximum damage to the Void force.
When they finally passed the designated markers set up in advance, Hixon gave the orders.
"Open fire! Pour it on them! Show them what 'Bullet Hell' really means!"
And with that, the 2 HEMGs opened forth an extraordinary, punishing volume of 7.92x33mm fire on the Void. While the guns were firing that gave off a distinct 'buzz-saw' noise, Pvt. Heffron and Cpl. Luz-Grimes were taking precision shots with their M1's, aiming for any Void that somehow got pass the impossibly high rate of fire. Hixon was on the infrared range-finder, giving corrections to the MG teams when their fire was no longer hitting the maximum number of Void forces.
"4' East! Add 50! 16' North! Drop 35!"The speed at which Hixon sometimes gave corrections was so fast that the gunners almost couldn't make them out.
It was imperative that correct fire be given, for due to the range the MG's were engaging at, there was the very real chance of friendly fire if they shot at any Voidal forces too close to their lines. Thus, it was difficult for the two gunners when they had to let some of the Void through their fire; however, they were confident that the standing forces would be more than enough for whatever got through the sheer volume of fire the HEMGs and rifles produced.
Hixon was also on the watch for the signal for any traps the other groups might have set up for the advancing void, and so had the coordinates for the trap areas memorized to allow for the gunners to easily train their fire on said traps, allowing for a far more effective volume of fire to be laid on the Void.
As it looked from the start, from the PMC's perspective, the battle seemed that it would turn out to be a gigantic turkey-shoot, with the Void forces replacing the turkeys...
...and yet even so, Hixon had the Medigun slung around his back. There would not be any chances taken in this fight.

Pit stood still on his perch. While he was certainly going to help the resisting forces, he was neither of any use dead, nor from such a great distance. It was all he could do to create a few orbs of light. "Go,and give the warriors some light to fight by." The orbs would fly out over the field and shine out, casting some light on the void monsters. While it wasn't bright enough to be painful, like the sun would be, it would possibly disorientate them, and definitely would help the others fight.
After that, he slid down the slope and re-joined Shyvana's platoon, moving to the front, right behind Shyvana. They'd probably noticed him by now; no need to be stealthy. And he was of no use at the back of the fight. He'd need to be at the front.
A shining light for all to see...a bright light for all eternity...
((Typing up from my phone. Three cheers for morning college! Anyways, if what I'm doing is unacceptable/unfairly meta, just hit me up and I'll edit.))
Kayle had been surveying the inaccessible mountainsides, due to being capable of flight. Hearing the commotion coming from the Winter's Claw growing louder, she immediately flew up to a much higher altitude and folded her wings, diving, rapidly gaining speed towards the settlement. Just as she plummeted away from the mountains, however, she noticed the slight aura of otherworldly presence - tinged with rot, characteristic of the Void - the source far behind her as she continued soaring on her way to the frontlines.
"They are coming from the mountains!"
Her voice boomed, loud and clear, as she dived past the the fighters who were hurrying away from the tents, heading to war. She can only hope that Sejuani and some of the other champions still nearby would take notice and react, for the situation is dire; many innocent lives are at stake, relying on the sole protection of the mountain acting as a natural barricade... Soon to be spewing forth with the armies of the enemy. Her words of warning, though early, might still be too late.
Approaching the barricades, she spread her wings wide away from her, slowing her descent so that she may fly past the wooden walls and not through them. Flapping her wings, assessing the situation around her... Ranged support from the Piltover squad with superior firepower, and the Yetis with their enchanted ice chunks should give a tactical advantage. That might be negated, however, by the swarms of flying voidlings, just barely visible in the distance. In a flurry of feathers, she flew to where the Ursine warriors and the Demacian soldiers are, Shyvana roaring just ahead.
"The Void has no place in Valoran! Their interference is not welcome here, so it must be halted and vanquished! Divine Intervention!"
Her arms opened wide, sword swung upon the side, she bestowed upon the Demacian soldiers a glowing barrier of golden light, shielding the mortals who no matter how well trained or well armed are the most likely to be struck down - being in the direct front.
As the shots rang out, and the warriors charged, Leona leaped from her tower and onto the snow, shield and sword in hand. As the void charged, a shield of Sunlight formed around her and she cut any down that stood in her way. She would hold them back as best she could, flourishing both shield and sword alike to break the line of the Void. Soon, she Sunlight shield burst and set some of the Void ablaze, vaporizing the little ones. Leona then simply held the line, halting any void that came her way, with weapons and Sunlight.
Rudmed was in the forefront of his battle-brothers ready to engage in the bloody melee that awaited them. The group moved forward in unison their eyes blazed with fury and hatred. The voice of the void reached them, and will their righteous rage was not ignited the presence of their leader leading them into battle was enough for them. Though once the void's blood began to coat their blades, they would be lost in a righteous fury that made such psychological warfare ineffective against them.
Some, but not all of the voidlings that escaped the main forces such as the Demacian battalion had the misfortune of crossing the inquisitors and were dealt with quickly. However the inquisitors knew it was inevitable that some would get through and prayed that the valiant fighters behind them would be able to handle the ones that did.
Rudmed scanned the battlefield as quickly as he could trying to see if their were targets that required his immediate attention, and soon...he found them. Barbarians or warriors that embraced the void's taint and sin. Such actions were unforgivable! He pointed his saber at the group of barbarians that were attacking Leona, "Cleanse those that embrace the Void! Spare none of them!" He roared as he charged the group of barbarians and his fellow inquisitors were not far behind them.
Rudmed saw one with a tentacle like arm and lunged at it aiming his saber at where the human heart would be. After all some part of them was still human! Should the blow land, whether it killed the target or not would give Rudmed an indictment. The remaining inquisitors slammed into the group of barbarians using their number advantage to at least double team the corrupted warriors and bring them down as fast as possible.
Final Truth Inquisitors: 60 Alive and well!
Indictments: 2/6 (1 for fighting a known sinful enemy, and the second for the speech) Focused Retribution: Inactive target has allies within a certain proximity.

No rest. No mercy.
From the ether a portal tore open with a horrible shriek that rose above the hellish sounds of battle that occurred at the front and through it charged forth a mounted warrior with two macabre styled longswords that were as large as the rider on the mount. Both weapons were brandished and ready.
The mount was massive, horrific. A shorthaired beast that was akin to a Minotaur. At least twenty feet in height and built like a Zauntie warmachine. The smell of death and decay emitted heavily from it and foul smelling and toxic miasma spewed forth from it, trailing from its mouth and to the cold hard ground behind it.
As the beast rapidly approached, both rider and mount knew their mark. Leona would find herself targeted, a red aura would envelop her slightly as the Knight set his single red eye upon her. On a lesser man, they would be overcome by despair and their defenses would be shattered. They would feel more vulnerable than they had ever felt before. However, Leona was not average by any means.
It picked up speed and immediately leapt at the afflicted Radiant Dawn and the Demacian forces which she was so valiantly defending. The full weight of the beast crashed down upon her and one wondered if she could hold it back without falling and being crushed underfoot. Even worse, the Knight’s presence was overbearing, lesser men would feel their very life force being chipped away at.

((Since I'm supposed to be waiting for Tryndamere and he hasn't posted, I'll just go ahead and do it.))
Warriors on all sides began to beat their feet against the snow - the fight had begun, and Ashe could see it all from the point on which she stood. Streaks of lightning, the coursing of horrific shrieks tearing through the air and blood splashing all around. From everywhere, she could see faces that surprised her: Kayle, the Judicator, with her glowing wings of near immortality. Shyvana, the flaming dragon as she teared through the ranks of the Void itself towards a massive red creature with gaping jaws. Many others whom she did not know, fighting for the freedom of Freljord... or for its demise. Malzahar and Kassadin were locked in a battle, clashing in sizzling magics and she could see Sejuani, desperate and powerful. She knew what she should do, and she took the burden with pride.
Ashe was silent, but only for a moment as her warriors awaited her signal. She raised her hand as the battle raged onwards, lives taken and lives lost. But her people knew what they were getting into, what the consequences were. But more than that, they knew what they needed to fight for. Her arm swept around in an arc, and a bird crafted from pure ice burst forth from her fingers. Its beak tore through the heavy air, lifting wide open to let out a fearsome screech before shattering into a million pieces, scattering around the field below.
Those who could not see the war so clearly were enlightened, both by the tell-tale order of silence and by the granted vision but that did not stop them from raising their weapons. A loud, synchronized cry rose up and the army, both the denizens of Rakelstake and the Preservers, washed past and down the hill to join their brethren in the fight.
Ashe had already lifted her bow, great arrows of crystal forming on its string as she took aim. Her target: the large beast of both man and animal a top the Radiant Dawn and the force behind her. Her eyes burned a darker blue as the ice continued to form. As if the very time around her had stopped, she held her body as taut as her bow, her poise perfect before a barely audible twang signaled the release. The arrows barreled through the noise and terror, slicing through the gentle snow. She was certain it would hit the minotaur, if nature did not interfere first.

Sejuani charged through and held the line with her people, reaching the front of the line as a mounted knight barreled down upon The Radiant Dawn with all of its fury as it felled those it had not intended to target on impact. As strong as he Radiant Dawn was, she would not fight something so fierce alone. The end of her flail crystalized and shimmered with an icy magic and with a quick thrust she launched a copy of it that was shrouded in an icy mist. The Glacial Prison was on a collision course with the mount.
Bristle forced his ways through the allied ranks that blocked the encroaching threat and to the front of the line, her flail raised high in the air as she spun the spiked end in a circle. She reeled the weapon back, ready to bring it down upon the helmet of the foe that she was now upon.

With Ashe came the Preserver forces. Tekun marched with his men and with his Queen as they made their way across the frozen tundra. Not only were there men with him, strong in numbers but numerous long ranged artillery cannons, each one fully functional and ready to fire. Tekun drew a techmaturgical radio as he viewed the battle occurring just ahead. They were being seiged by the front while Champions seemed to battle their own battles. Among them though, Tekun noticed a very familiar figure. He knew that Knight well enough, if he could help it he would make sure that this time the Knight would stay dead. He couldn’t get at the forces to the front with their artillery but he could damage their encroaching forces heavily.
“Looks like we got here just in time…” The Immortal soldier thought silently to himself as clicked the radio and brought it to his lips.
“Aim for the bulk of their forces. Fire at will.” There was a moment of silence as they recalibrated their aim and after many resounding booms followed. In the distance, the ground shook and up-heaved as artillery shells hit the Void forces on route and exploded almost in time. The decimation was an effective way to hurt them and kept the pressure on them.

Stationed with the preserver's artillery happened to be the other half of the Corps. The leader of this squad, comprising of several long-distance engagement mortars, got on the other set of the radio, and dialed in.
"Nixon, this is Winters, do you read me?" Cpt. Winters called in.
"Yes sir!" Lt. Nixon's voice called back.
"Alright, the mortars and friendly artillery are all in range now. We need the co-ordinates, over!"
"Alright, listen up: Rounds on the fields in Sector 5, Azimuth-403, range 1200. No limit - fire at will. HE."
"Alright!" Winters shouted back, and he relayed this information to the Preserver's Artillery and the Mortar teams.
A few seconds later, the mortars, having finished adjusting, all simultaneously opened fire with the artillery, the HE rounds shrieking across the sky, racing across the clouds, and crashing down onto the void in a fantastic series of explosions, which would certainly assist to significantly reduce the number of void forces reaching the front lines.
Winters kept on the radio, making sure that for any change in firing co-ordinates sent over, he would be able to relay it to the battery as soon as possible.
On the ledge, the machine gun teams were having a banana's time: the void were stupidly easy to hit and take down, and the competition for who could get the most went into the hundreds.
However, some of the void climbing up the cliff got scarily close in spite of the murderous fire, and one managed to get so close as to attempt to make a swing at Cpl. Luz-Grimes.
"Oi! Get the F!@# away, you disguting B!@#$!" 'Grimsey' shouted, whacking the voidling away with the butt-stock of his M1, knocking it off the ledge and sending it plunging to it's splattery death.
Soon after, Nixon got wind that the artillery was in position, and so getting back on the range-finder while staying on the radio, he relayed the co-ordinates to the battery.
A few seconds later, the distant booms of the guns firing could be heard, and the next thing they saw were the large explosions of HE rounds going off amongst the charging void.
The Medics began to cheer as the battery did its work, and the morale of the crews skyrocketed, happily returning back to their guns and continuing the overwhelming fusillade of bullets.
"Yeah, that's right you B!@#$es! Eat it! Take those shots where you want it!" Several shouts could be determined from the various cheers and taunts at the Void's sudden shock at running into an explosive bullet-storm.
Nixon kept on the radio and range-finder, making sure that the battery fire would be consistent in hitting the Void where they were gathering the most.
In the meantime, he took off the Medigun and gave it to Private Heffron, as he needed to man the radio and the rangefinder, and Heffron was the only other person not busy with the guns.
In the distance, however, Heffron noticed something very odd... it was a wicked-looking being, riding what reminded him of a minotaur... and it was about to hit several of their own.
Heffron couldn't just leave that to happen... and he wasn't Grabbing his HEMP, he geared up and tapped Grimsey on the shoulder.
"Hey, keep on covering the MGs, I'm headed down into the fight," Heffron informed him, before he climbed down the back ledge.
"Hey, wait a minute! Nixon told us to stay here! You can't!-" Grimsey cried out in response, but by the time he and the other Medics could even respond, he had already gone down.
'God d--- it, I can't let that bastard go amok!' He thought to himself, the Medigun on his back, and holding his HEMP, bringing along ample ammunition for it.
He made his way to the front lines, opening fire with the machine pistol on any void that were about to overrun any friendly, and including those that tried to attack him.
He was only a hundred yards from where the gigantic being and his beast were when he saw who else was fighting it: the Radiant Dawn, the Winter's Wrath, several allied inquisitors... but he figured he might as well join the party too.
And with that, he aimed up his HEMP and opened fire, aiming directly for the being's face.

Pit was stood at the front of the Demacian soldiers, striking down approaching voidlings right and left. While he would occasionally dash off and spear a voidling in the face to save one of the other soldiers, he had no affiliation to them, and they would often not come to save him if he got in trouble most likely.
He eventually became swamped with the voidlings, however, and had to fall further back into the Demacian's ranks. Before he had to run back, he threw his javelins out, where they hovered for a moment. With a quick surge of light energy from his body, they began to spark with their own light, soon shooting off a concentrated beam of light from between them that burnt several of the voidlings. He immediately grabbed the javelins and ran back while the voidlings were distracted by the pain.

Leona held the line, cutting down every voidling that dared come her way, when the stench of something caught her attention... turning her gaze to face the unholy knight and it's beast, she narrowed her eyes slightly. As it charged at her, Leona actually ran forward to hope of taking more of the force than her allies. Even as she did, however, most of them around her were killed or injured. Using her shield and Sunlight, she was able to stop from being crushed by the beast, however it was evident she was struggling, and wouldn't be able to hold for long.
As Sejuani's Glacial Prison hit the beast and it's rider, Leona took the oppertunity to dive out from under it, rolling back and standing to her feet. "HA!!" she called out as a Solar Flare formed under the frozen creature, ready to shatter the ice and bathe the are in searing Sunlight.

The mount forced itself against the Radiant Dawn but was promptly stopped by a thick layer of ice that formed around it upon collision. The Rider was engulfed too, promptly stuck fast by the ice. Before either could break free an intense solar energy formed and struck both. The two were promptly stunned stiff. The creature that had been their primary target did not look all that pleased and growled and snarled in defiance as it tried to regain momentum. The Knight upon his back slowly regained movement and in one fluid motion dismounted and leapt off the minotaur like beast, his decrepit wings spreading as he soared up into the air with a powerful jump.
Ashe’s arrow connected soon afterwards and once again the beast found itself damaged and nearly frozen solid. Unable to move or break free it would have to wait until Ashe’s spell weakened. The Knight crashed down upon the two, both swords brandished. His sights remained upon the Solarai warrior. His eye glowed bright and widened before becoming a small barely glowing orb in his helmet. Leona would feel herself temporarily cut from her magic.

((Little intermediary post from me to keep up with the GK fight))
Pvt. Heffron
'HOLY S---!' Was all Heffron could think of; that thing was huge! And it was riding something even bigger than itself... a good thing he brought the gun he was best with!
He saw the gigantic Knight-void-thing look at Leona with a... stiffening stare... but shook it off; intimidation wasn't something he was going to bend over to. The aura around him felt quite different... but the conditioning ((read: natural medic regen)) he was subjected to during medic training thankfully kept him from falling to it anytime soon.
Now, though, the knight did not see that another force had joined the fray just yet...
...and so, he took his HEMP, aimed directly at the Knights right hand, and opened fire, intending to hopefully disarm the knight of one sword.

Leona narrowed her eyes at the knight as he leaped from his mount and onto the snow. She would not let him kill anymore than he already had. Leona attempted to charge her shield with Sunlight, and frowned when it did not work. He must have done something to stop her powers from the time being.
Leona took a stance, her shield covering most of her form, her sword sticking over the top of it. Leona then dug her heels into the snow and broke off at a full sprint towards the knight. Aiming to act like a battering ram and knock him into the snow.
