Rudmed finished the barbarian he had engaged quickly, sheer strength proved to be no match to his dexterity and finesse with his saber. The mighty beast and rider seemed to have gotten in over their head by charging in so recklessly. Now would be a proper time to strike and engage that champion of the Void. The creature, whose very presence seems to drain the life of a man away. But this did not deter Rudmed, no he could not wait to slay this creature of sin. However, he had a duty to his own men, but where would be the best place to deploy them? What foe could they successfully engage? If he could have his way he would prefer to stick his men with another champion, against another threat.
Then he spotted his the perfect target. The Void Reaver had jumped and turned on Volibear. Perhaps an unwise choice given the fact that Volibear most likely had greater raw strength over Kha'zix, but given Rudmed's encounter with the possessed barbarian, the fight between the Ursine and the Reaver could still go either way. Rudmed gestured toward Kha'zix, "There a champion of the Void uses cowardly tactics to attempt to harm one of allies! To his aid my battle-brothers and sisters!"
The inquisitors rushed toward Kha'zix, but would have to stop and engage a group of Voidlings that they caught on the flank. This would buy the Reaver time to do his task or withdraw if he so desired. However, in the group's depature, Rudmed could see a lone casualty with a gash in his chest lying in the snow. The grandmaster of the Final Truth turned back toward the Grey Knight. He knew that men would die this day to these Void scum, but for every one of his followers he lost he would make the Void pay tenfold. Rudmed's rage was igniting very quickly as he used the chaos of the battle to mask his presence and sneak behind the Grey Knight.
From this point he would lash out with his saber aiming at the Grey Knight's back. A single, but powerful strike that would ignore some armor. A technique he called 777 trials.

It was direct hit that was followed up by two stuns. She recognized that arrow and she furrowed her brow and bit down her own rage at the thought of Ashe coming in to save her of all people That bitch would get hers. As she approached the front line, the knight leapt and Leona charged. Bristle now moved alongside the dawn and raced her to the target.
She swung her flail harshly in conjunction with her ally’s sword and shield. They would end this. The Knight would be the first to fall in their defense, she would see to it herself.

With an unconscious summoner firmly grasped by the shoulders, Anivia descended upon the Piltover Medical Corps, recognizing them as members of Jon’s elites. “You are medics, are you not? This man needs attention.” She attempted to gently lay him on a nearby snow bank, only to find that her talons had begun to freeze into the wounds, forcing her to hover awkwardly in the air. A cold wind blew from her body, heralding her distress. “I... may need some assistance,” she remarked as her body, worn by the flight across the continent, begged for rest.

The knight came down upon both in all his fury. A black sword struck the dawn’s shield; his inhumane strength forced the sword to scrape along the surface of the only thing that protected his opponent from certain demise. Another blade struck back against the flail that had been brought down by the Winter’s Wrath. It was barely batted away and the chain of the weapon wrapped along the black blade. His full focus was upon the two as he stood his ground against the two.
If the Knight had his way, there would be no stalemate.
Rudmed would find it easy to sneak upon the Knight in the chaos that ensued upon them all. Even so it was risky to move past the mount which was frozen in place. Even from a “Safe” distance the Knight’s aura could be felt; it was something that was truly suffocating, as if his very existence choked the life out of all around him. He would strike harshly upon the Knight’s back, cutting into what seemed to be hard and dead flesh that did not so much as bleed. He’d managed to do damage but just how permanent would it be?
The mount began to shake violently and came back to life from his temporary frozen state with an angry roar that was filled with bloodlust and hate. The ice broke around it and miasma emerged about it, flowing freely from its maw. The creature set its sights upon the puny human before it, the Inquisitor who dared to strike the Knight’s back! The beast pounced without mercy.
The ground beneath and around the front lines began to shake violently. Even from other nearby areas it could be felt as the earth rocked. It seemed as though something big was coming this way.

Abel and Baker Squad
Pvt. Heffron's actions did not go unnoticed by the rest of the Corps. However, other matters came to a head, which meant that not everyone could attend to the previous matter.
Abel squad had decided that staying with the artillery was too far away from the fields, and so, giving the preservers the frequency for the radio already at the front, Abel moved up, soon making rendezvous with Baker.
"Baker, you got Abel on your six!" Cpt. Winters called out in front; Baker turned around, and a few of the Medics cheered.
"Thank Cripes you guys got here; we're almost out of ammo for the 7.92s, and the void isn't stopping!" Lt. Nixon replied; indeed, both MG's were now down to 2 belts each, and so with the arrival of Abel squad and their mortars, the two squads began to interlace their fire, which proved to be beneficial as time would soon show.
When the Cryophoenix arrived with the summoner, it was Winters who turned and addressed the situation.
"...alright, we'll take the treating from here; we need to conserve our firepower now anyways," he replied when he heard Anivia's explanation. Motioning her to set the summoner down to him, he then turned to the MG teams and called out orders.
"Grimsey! Martin! Help this summoner over here! Toye and Simmonds! Help me treat the Cyrophoenix! We gotta get these two back in action ASAP!"
With that, the MG teams set aside the guns to treat the two; Sgt. Lipton had already peeled off to treat the wounded armored bear which had come earlier, and so all of the MG Medics were on treatment duty.
One of the people from the Mortars also left his group, upon seeing Heffron out alone out there with the vital Medigun; he couldn't be left alone...
At this point, only the mortars and Nixon were still actively fighting the void from the ledge: the two mortars were showing to be enough to temporarily hold them off for now, however...
Heffron cursed in his mind as he saw his Machine Pistol do almost nothing to the Grey Knights hand; perhaps he wasn't aiming at the right spot?
The next moment, however, he saw other shots, and turned to see PFC Randleman come by.
"Hey! Heffron! I know you aren't alone, but you're gonna get killed by yourself here!" He shouted, now taking aim with his M2 Carbine at the same hand Heffron was shooting at.
Heffron simply nodded, and turned his HEMP back on the hand too; with the combined gunfire, it would surely not have gotten the Grey Knight's attention that his hand was being hit with something...

Rudmed smiled as he felt his blade strike the Knight's back, but it seemed as though it had very little effect. Nor did it feel as though he cut through living and fresh flesh. This confused him, but then again he was dealing with the sinful presence of the Void. His next strike would finish this! Then he would not have to deal with this suffocating aura!
..At least that is what should have happened as Rudmed withdrew his saber blade and raised it to strike the Knight in the back of the head, when he heard the ice shatter. There was an angry roar, and Rudmed turned back to the creature the Knight once rode on. The creature was free of its prison and it turned against Rudmed. The creature seemed to possess some kind of intelligence or connection to its rider.
The human dodged out of the creatures initial pounce, and his mind raced with ideas of how to fight it. A straight up confrontation was right out, he could use his revolver, but he found it unlikely that it would do anything unless he hit soft tissue. Though perhaps he could use its size to his advantage. The inquisitor charged forward, maneuvering as fast as he could to get in between the creature's legs. To keep the creature distracted Rudmed fired a righteously enchanted bullet at the creature. This would be the beginning of the beast's absolution! The bullet was aimed at the creature's head, as the inqusitor figured this would be the easiest location for the bullet to penetrate. This is not to say that the bullet lacked penetration power, as it could punch through heavy armor at this range, but Rudmed was unaware of how thick the creature's skin was.
The inquisitor feelings his righteous fury build let out a battle cry, "Come you sinful beast! Come and meet the retribution you have so long escaped! Your death shall be at my hands!" The challenge was announced. Rudmed would not be deterred by this creature, no he would rise up to meet this challenge. An action fitting his title, Grandmaster of the Final Truth.

Anivia awaits the medic’s aid with some difficulty. She beat her wings shallow and quickly, struggling to avoid jostling the summoner in her clutches while allowing the medics to approach. Neither goals were particularly well met: while summoner bobbed up and down just within reach, a stiff breeze pierced even the warmest of clothing.
As Winters approached, the situation would become much more clear. The summoner’s only saving grace was the frigid cold of talons, numbing the entire site past any sensation. With some effort, she had managed to extricate her six sharp talons from the man’s back, the gaping holes showing clear to the bone, yet the blood flowed slowly in the cold. He remained skewered on her halluces, pierced just below the clavicles. “I cannot set him down without causing more harm. He was attacked by the Fallen Angel, and I cannot know the extent of the injury afflicted upon his soul.”
She continues glancing toward the battlefield, both in the direction of the encroaching void front, as well backwards toward the Fallen Angel, wondering whether this summoner was worth the time she had wasted to save his life, and how many others may fall while she waits for Winters to take action. She had flown continuously from the institute to join this battle, perhaps it would have been better to allow the man his death.

Cpt. Winters and Baker Squad
'Well, this just got a lot more complicated,' Cpt. Winters thought to himself, seeing the summoner's situation being rather bad. He turned to the others he called over to assist, and began calling out instructions.
"Simmonds! Toye! Get a table and stretcher over here so we can set the Summoner on it!"
"Grimsey! Martin! Get the hypothermic emergency treatment kit ASAP!"
The Medics nodded and carried out their orders, and so with the table, Winters motioned Anivia to maneuver downwards so that the Summoner's back was on the table. In the meantime, he took out a syringe and administered a special aesthetic to the Summoner, which would relieve him of the pain and prevent any infections from becoming worse, as well as placing him into a stasis of a half-coma.
Anivia's presence made it rather cold, however, and so some of the returning Medics had also donned their overcoats to withstand the temperature; Winters began to feel the effects, but shrugged it off for now; there was a life to be saved...

Drifting... Floating... Lost among the clouds. A shiver in the cold. Shiver? This is something new. Sensation faded...
The world shook again as perception warped around him. The summoner raised a hand to steady an aching head that continued to bob up and down in the air. Yes, my hands, yes! But where... what was... He slowly opens his eyes, receiving nothing but brightness and pain. He screwed them shut again. Please, make it stop, the pain... But I have to protect her!
The eyes fly open again. The blur slowly resolved into a great crystalline beast, equally enthralling and terrifying. His gaze shifted downward, following the creature’s shape. Wings, majestically cutting through the air. A body as powerful as it appeared fragile. Legs extended toward me? Abject terror took hold on the man’s face as he beheld a pair of talons embedded deep in his flesh.
“No! No, you can’t do this!” The man began to struggle, bringing his hands to the talons. He pushed against them with a strength born of terror. “You cannot take it!” With a squelching pop, one talon pulled free of his body, unleashing a scream of pure agony.
Caught off guard by the outburst and change in balance, Anivia falters for half a wingbeat. It was too much. A great wing clipped the ground on its next pass, and the man swung wildly in her grasp as she attempted catch herself with one freed foot, only to have the second talon rip free to his unnatural strength. While the summoner fell safely at her feet, Winters was not so lucky. The Phoenix crumpled on top of him with nothing but the give of the snow to protect him from the crushing weight of her crystalline bulk.
An inhuman wail from the injured summoner served only to further confuse the catastrophe. As the anesthetic took effect, it was no current pain that caused the man’s distress, but the mere memory of that soul-rending magic latching itself into the very fiber of his being.

Cpt. Winters and Baker Squad
'What is going on in this Summoner's head!?' Winters thought to himself, hearing the Summoners words. However, the Summoner's flailing, and Anivia's subsequent loss of control and coming right at him, only left him with the option of bracing for a collision.
Drawing out a syringe from his side satchel, he administered a coma-inducing, blunt-trauma shielding serum to at ward off what could likely be death before the Cryophoenix hit him, but for doing so, he could only drop to the ground and duck, hoping for minimal impact damage.
Upon seeing Anivia fall onto Winters and the Summoner's falling to the ground, the other Medics immediately jumped into trauma mode: Grimsey and Martin moved to move Anivia off of their Captain, while Simmonds and Toye moved to pick up the Summoner and put him into the stretcher-table, upon which they immediately began treating him.
It was a good minute before Grimsey and Martin were able to get Winters free, while Simmonds and Toye had now put the Summoner into a medically induced sleep; finally able to treat the summoner properly, most of his worst injuries had now been given full treatment: full recovery seemed possible, although the mental effects were not known once he woke up...
Winters, on the other hand, was in far from a good physical condition, and it was good he put himself into forced coma; from the outset of his appearance, it would almost have been certain death otherwise.
His head looked ready to snap, with his limbs twisted and all bleeding all over. His abdomen was hunched, and his chest appeared to have his rib cage crushed; in short, he was in a critical condition, and Winters would need treatment now.
Grimsey and Martin went straight to work on Winters, and Grimsey had now called Lt. Nixon over, to look over Anivia, while the other two went straight into treating the Captain.
With the full arsenal of a medic's kit, Winters would not only survive, but be able to get back into duty, although the recovery time was still in the air...
Throughout all this, Grimsey and Martin began to also feel the effects of the cold from Anivia's presence, but their own personal well-being was not at question here: Winter's life was.

As the sword crashed down on Leona's shield, she grunted, the force of the blow nearly knocking her to her knees. Sunlight formed around her form once more and she charged the knight once more, thrusting her blade at him.

The creature was on all fours, spewing a foul miasma almost constantly from its maw. The shot rang true, the bullet fired and imbedding into the forehead, however the creature’s skull and hide were beyond that of anything normal. It let out a roar of pain as it bled from the new wound on its head. A dark purple ooze bled from its forehead as it lowered its face towards the foolish human who challenged it and lunged forward with the weight of a massive body behind it. Getting beneath it would likely prove fatal, he would risk being crushed by the creatures in addition to braving the foul and likely poisonous miasma.
Concentrating fire upon the Knight was difficult in the middle of the fray and accuracy suffered to avoid instances of friendly fire. Bullets did some damage it seemed but nothing that was lasting. The Knight seemed to be unfeeling, literally. The effect of the concentrated fire upon his hand did little but wound, the weapon would not be disarmed so easily.
The shield connected heavily against the Knight, the sunlight igniting and then shortly after exploded as it engulfed the Knight in a bright light. He staggered, stunned briefly by Leona’s effort. He was slowly being worn down, however it would take more than just a series of stuns to bring down the Elite.

Sejuani took advantage of her foe's assailment and yanked with all her might upon her flail. With the Knight disoriented and his sword hand being fired upon it became within reason for her to finish their disarm attempt. The sword came free and was torn from his grasp. The black blade flew and imbedded itself into the snow several yards away from the ensuing chaos.
She had no time to grin or to revel in her progress in defeating her foe. She followed up immediately with a swing. Bristol advanced aggressively as she brought her flail back around, slamming it harshly against the Knight's helmet. The sound of metal denting and cracking under the strain of the blow was all the confirmation Sejuani needed to know she had made a solid hit against her foe.
Rudmed noted that his bullets seems to be rather effective at this range, at least when applied to the head. Good, that meant that he would be able to deal some damage, and if he can make it bleed....then he could most certainly could kill it. However, that did not remedy the situation he had to deal with. The creature was now on all fours and charging him. Getting hit would either really hurt, incapacitate him, or outright kill him.
None of those options were particularly good, so Rudmed settled on a different idea. Using the knowledge he had acquired from his last bullet he took aim again. he pulled the hammer of his revolver back and lined up the shot. He took a deep breath and closed one eye. The barrel lined up with the charging beast's eye, and the inquisitor pulled the trigger. Seeing of how this beast is still an animal, he hoped it would resort to its natural instinct of tending to the wound.
Though just in case this plan didn't work, Rudmed began to move toward closer to the Grey Knight, Leona and Sejuani. Surely the beast would not risk injuring its own rider? If it did, then the Knight did not have as much control as the Grandmaster had hoped.

As the squad backed away, the fire on the Void died down ever so slightly for units to slip through. These were similar to the voidlings, but older, bigger, faster, and stronger. They had a thick carapace to cover everything but the belly, and their four legs had become six, along with mandibles to claw at its prey. They sloped through the heavy gunfire and front lines as four sped up the cliff side. They would see them coming up the side that the squad abandoned, so they would have time to react. When the four young-adults had arrived, two charged at the squad still at the machine guns and mortars. Their thick carapace would be able to help them take a little bit more bullets, but they'd have to act now as the other two charged towards the group treating the allies.
